July 26, 1963 [July 27, 1962], No. 29014/62. Heading G6R. A material which absorbs neutrons and gamma rays and may moderate neutrons is formed of ferrous and carbonaceous materials. A bonding agent is added, the temperature raised to 250‹ C., mixed, then formed into blocks and finally fired at 1500‹ C. The materials may be cast iron, steel and alloys of iron with nickel, chromium, silica or manganese, coke, anthracite, carbon black, graphite, petroleum coke, tar, pitch, silicon carbide and the bonding agent may be tar, pitch or a resin.
