[Also in Divisions H1 and H2] A conduit for a H.F. transmission line 1 is formed of sections comprising half cylinders 2, 3 of earthenware having interfitting grooves 4 and tongues 5. One end of each section is provided with a portion of larger radius into which the adjacent section fits. The inside of the conduit can be coated with an energy absorbing material 11. Dry air can be blown through the conduit to reduce penetration of moisture. Specification 718,597 is referred to.
