Abstract

1,004,557. Waterstops. ACME HIGHWAY PRODUCTS CORPORATION. May 19, 1964, No. 20676/64. Heading E1G. A sealing strip between two masses 10, 11 of concrete or the like has flat sides 16, 17 in contact with the concrete and longitudinal air passages. The strip is formed from elastomonic material and has diagonal webs 24, 25 integral with the sides and an upper surface 19, 20 providing a depression 38. Adhesive, 28, is applied to the walls of the gap 12 to act as a lubricant and to receive the strip which is forced into position by a roller having a rib engaging with the depression-38. Alternatively the strip may be inserted by a rib 42 attached to a curved plate 40 on which the operator stands as the plate is rocked by a handle 41.
