100,330. Atherton, R. I., and Slides & General Engravers, Ltd. Jan. 12, 1916. Changing apparatus.-Relates to means by which a sign may be illuminated by varying coloured lights. Each illuminating lamp is surrounded by a multicoloured chimney or funnel which is supported and arranged to be rotated by the hot air arising from the lamp. In the construction shown in Fig. 1, the casing 1 is provided with a number of interchangeable stencil plates or transparencies 3 in the front or sides, and within is a series of lamps 7. Fitted over each lamp is a multicoloured funnel 9 pivoted on a support 11 and provided with vanes 10, so that it is rotated by the heated air. The funnels have their coloured parts arranged in squares, strips, &c., and may be arranged to rotate in different directions.
