Abstract

1,001,594. Valves. A. KORGANOFF. Aug. 11, 1961 [Aug. 12, 1960], No. 29125/61. Heading F2V. [Also in Division B7] A member 4 is moved to close the annular nozzle 2, in the hull of a submersible vessel (see Division B7), by an hydraulic piston and cylinder 54, 55 acting through a hollow shaft 10. In order to convert the nozzle 2 from an annular to a circular form the centre body 3 may be retracted by the hydraulic piston and cylinder 6 and 7. When more than one unit is employed the movements of the closing members and centre bodies may be synchronized.
