Abstract

In a water mixing unit having an inlet pipe formed with a dividing web and a pair of parts are in communication with each part of the inlet pipe, an adapter 17 adapted to be disposed around the inlet pipe and to sealingly engage one of the parts situated in the wall of the inlet pipes, is provided on its inner surface with an inwardly directed annular spigot portion 18 surrounded by a washer 20 and in communication with an outwardly directed socket portion 22 adapted to be connected to the water supply, the adaptor being keyed to the inlet pipe by means of a threaded fastening member passing through a threaded aperture 23 in the adaptor to engage the wall of the inlet pipe. Lugs 27, 28 may be provided in the adaptor to receive bolts to bear against the underside of a flange receiving the inlet pipe to hold the adaptor firmly in position.
