Abstract

1,000,291. Transformers. MINISTER OF AVIATION. July 27, 1961 [May 16, 1960], No. 17164/60. Heading H1T. [Also in Division H2] In a bridge rectifier having grid controlled rectifiers, firing pulses are obtained from a saturable transformer T, phase shift for control of the rectifier output being by means of bias D.C. windings 34, 35. One winding (34 or 35) is used to raise the instantaneous saturation current, and the other to lower it. A third pulse may be provided by the generator 15, between the first and second pulses.
