Abstract
1,000,139. Transformers and inductors. LICENTIA PATENT - VERWALTUNGS G.m.b.H. June 6, 1962, No. 21898/62. Heading H1T. A high voltage winding of a transformer or inductor has a group of more than two coaxial disc coils nearest the high voltage end of the winding which include two lengths of winding conductor (1-20 and 24-10, Fig. 1) each comprising alternate turns in one disc coil followed by alternate turns in a neighbouring disc coil, both lengths starting with the coil at the high voltage end, inter-connections between parts of each winding conductor in adjacent disc coils being between turns of similar diameter, e.g. 5 and 6, 10 and 11, 31 and 32 &c. Three other coil arrangements are described (Figs. 2-4, not shown) in some of which peripheral turns in a coil are separated from the remaining turns by insulating spacers (shown shaded). The high voltage lead is connected to a screening ring adjacent the 3nd coil.
