The present invention also relates to the cosmetic use of such a composition, as well as a non-therapeutic cosmetic process for caring for keratin materials using such a composition.
In the cosmetic field of care, cosmetic compositions making it possible to obtain both good sensory properties and a care effect are increasingly sought after by users. By care effect is meant, for example, an effect against the drying out or aging of keratin materials and in particular the skin, this care effect being provided by active agents. As such, there are hydrophilic active ingredients, and in particular ascorbic acid (vitamin C): this active ingredient is regenerating of the skin thanks to the stimulation of the synthesis of collagen responsible for the firmness of the skin, or even depigmenting, because this vitamin decreases the production of melanin responsible for dark spots. Ascorbic acid is also known for its antioxidant properties.
In addition, oily galenics are useful for improving the delivery of an active ingredient when applied to keratin materials, preferably the skin, and thus its effectiveness, in particular its effectiveness for treating the problems of skin aging. Oily galenics are also increasingly sought after in the cosmetics field and more particularly in the field of skin care, in particular because they make it possible to provide nutrition after application.
However, obtaining this double effect (good sensory properties and care effect) requires on the one hand to be able to introduce hydrophilic active ingredient(s) and in particular ascorbic acid in sufficient quantity into the composition. , and on the other hand to overcome the disadvantages associated with oily dosage forms. However, the hydrophilic nature of the active ingredient makes it difficult to incorporate this type of compound into oily galenics, which generally contain little water.
Consequently, there remains the need for monophasic cosmetic compositions rich in oil(s), and comprising an effective quantity of ascorbic acid, which make it possible to improve the delivery of this vitamin, which are stable, and which have good sensory properties. .
The Applicant has surprisingly found that an oily cosmetic composition comprising ascorbic acid or one of its derivatives in a medium comprising specific polar oils and polyols in defined contents, makes it possible to reduce its absorption time. after application, while being stable. This composition is rich in oily phase and transparent monophasic.
Thus, the subject of the present invention is a transparent monophasic cosmetic composition comprising:

à la seconde condition que lorsque la teneur en acide ascorbique ou l’un de ses dérivés est comprise entre 4% et 6% en poids par rapport au poids total de composition, alors (i) la quantité d’huile polaire b) est d’au plus 8% en poids par rapport au poids total de composition, (ii) la composition comprend, comme huile polaire additionnelle c), au moins un alcool gras liquide à température ambiante à chaîne carbonée insaturée ayant de 12 à 26 atomes de carbone, en quantité d’au moins 3% en poids par rapport au poids total de composition, et (iii) la quantité totale d’huiles polaires de la composition est inférieure ou égale à 28% en poids par rapport au poids total de composition.on the second condition that when the content of ascorbic acid or one of its derivatives is between 4% and 6% by weight relative to the total weight of composition, then (i) the quantity of polar oil b) is d at most 8% by weight relative to the total weight of the composition, (ii) the composition comprises, as additional polar oil c), at least one fatty alcohol which is liquid at room temperature with an unsaturated carbon chain having from 12 to 26 carbon atoms , in an amount of at least 3% by weight relative to the total weight of composition, and (iii) the total amount of polar oils in the composition is less than or equal to 28% by weight relative to the total weight of composition.
La composition selon l’invention est stable. The composition according to the invention is stable.
A composition is said to be stable when its macroscopic appearance (clarity and homogeneity) does not change after at least 24 hours. In particular, the composition according to the invention has a clear and homogeneous appearance.
Within the meaning of the present invention, the term "clear" means a composition having a transparent appearance.
Within the meaning of the present invention, the term “homogeneous” is understood to mean a composition consisting of a single phase, in other words monophasic.
The composition according to the invention is preferably intended for topical application, in particular to keratin materials, in particular the skin. It comprises in particular a physiologically acceptable medium, that is to say a medium compatible with all keratin materials, in particular the skin.
Within the meaning of the present invention, the term “keratin materials” means the skin and its appendages.
By "skin" is meant the skin of the face and/or of the body, the scalp.
By "appendages" is meant the eyelashes, the eyebrows, the nails, and the hair, in particular the eyelashes and the hair.
The present invention also relates to a method for the cosmetic treatment of keratin materials, which comprises the application, to said keratin materials, of a composition according to the invention. Furthermore, a subject of the invention is also the use of said composition in the cosmetics field, in particular for caring for the skin of the body or the face.
Preferably, the composition according to the invention comprises less than 5% by weight of surfactant, preferably less than 3% by weight of surfactant, more preferably less than 2% by weight of surfactant, preferably less than 1% by weight of surfactant relative to the total weight of the composition. Preferably, the composition is surfactant-free.
A time-saving guide to Emulsifier Selection” (published by ICI Americas Inc; 1984). La HLB du ou des tensioactifs utilisés selon l’invention peut être déterminée par la méthode de GRIFFIN ou la méthode de DAVIES.Within the meaning of the present invention, the term “surfactant” is understood to mean an amphiphilic molecule, that is to say that it has two parts of different polarity, in general one is lipophilic (soluble dispersible in an oily phase), the other is hydrophilic (soluble or dispersible in water). Surfactants are characterized by the value of their HLB (Hydrophilic Lipophilic Balance or hydrophilic-lipophilic balance), the HLB being the ratio between the hydrophilic part and the lipophilic part in the molecule. The term HLB is well known to those skilled in the art and is described for example in “The HLB system. A time-saving guide to Emulsifier Selection” (published by ICI Americas Inc; 1984). For emulsifying surfactants, the HLB generally ranges from 3 to 8 for the preparation of W/O emulsions and from 8 to 18 for the preparation of O/W emulsions. The HLB of the surfactant(s) used according to the invention can be determined by the GRIFFIN method or the DAVIES method.
Preferably, the composition according to the invention does not comprise emulsifying surfactants such as polyoxyethylenated castor oil, esters of fatty acid and sorbitol and/or sorbitan, oxyethylenated or not, such as polysorbates, phospholipids, polyethylene glycol esters and fatty acids such as PEG-15 stearate, as well as lecithin.
The composition according to the invention comprises less than 4% by weight of water relative to the total weight of the composition, preferably less than 3% by weight of water relative to the total weight of the composition, preferably less than 2 % by weight of water relative to the total weight of the composition, preferably less than 1.5% by weight of water relative to the total weight of the composition, preferably less than 1.1% by weight of water relative to the weight composition total.
The composition according to the invention differs in particular from emulsions in that it is not in the form of a dispersion of two liquids which are not miscible with one another at ambient temperature (20-25° C.). The composition according to the invention is indeed monophasic transparent. It is monophasic because it does not have a dispersed phase (also called discontinuous phase) in the form of droplets in a dispersing phase (also called continuous phase).
Les mesures sont effectuées à température ambiante (de 20°C à 25°C).NTU (nephelometric turbidity units) are the units of measurement of the turbidity of a composition. The measurement of the turbidity is carried out, for example, with a model 2100P turbidimeter from Hach Company, the tubes used for the measurement being referenced AR397A cat 24347-06. The measurements are carried out at room temperature (from 20°C to 25°C).
De préférence, la composition est transparente et présente une valeur de turbidité comprise entre 1 et 20 NTU, de préférence entre 1 et 15 NTU, de préférence inférieure à 10 NTU.Preferably, the composition is transparent and has a turbidity value of between 1 and 20 NTU, preferably between 1 and 15 NTU, preferably less than 10 NTU.
The composition according to the invention is therefore neither opalescent, cloudy, opaque nor biphasic.
L’analyse macroscopique (à l’œil nu) de la composition selon l’invention montre un aspect transparent et monophasique stable dans le temps à température ambiante, 4°C et 45°C.Macroscopic analysis (with the naked eye) of the composition according to the invention shows a transparent and single-phase appearance which is stable over time at room temperature, 4°C and 45°C.
