Abstract

L’invention concerne un procédé de préparation d’une composition d’estolides comprenant la réaction d’un composé insaturé de type acide ou ester avec un acide gras saturé, en présence d’un catalyseur de type acide sulphonique, ledit procédé ne comprenant pas d’étape de distillation sous vide permettant de séparer les monoestolides des polyestolides. L’invention concerne également une composition d’estolides susceptible d’être obtenue par le procédé de l’invention et son utilisation dans des compositions lubrifiantes.
