Abstract

Device for cosmetic care and treatment The invention relates to a device (100) for cosmetic care and treatment, in particular of the area around the eye, in particular using cold, comprising a closed container (101) containing a fluid and a handle (102) integral with the container, the container (101) being delimited by: - a first concave surface (103), in the form of an ellipsoid portion, comprising a major longitudinal axis (x1), delimited by first edges including first lateral edges (104, 105) on either side of the major longitudinal axis (x1), - a second surface (106), arranged on the other side of the container (101) relative to the first surface (103), and delimited by second edges including second lateral edges (107, 108) on either side of the major longitudinal axis (x1) of the first surface (103), and - intermediate surfaces which connect the first edges at the second edges to close the container, including intermediate surfaces s (109, 110) which have a downward slope between the first side edges (104, 105) and the second side edges (107, 108). Description

CARE AND COSMETIC TREATMENT DEVICE

The present invention relates to a device for care and cosmetic treatment, in particular of the face, more particularly of the eye contour.

The face is the object of a lot of attention, care and cosmetic treatments to preserve its aesthetic appearance, improve its appearance or eliminate imperfections.

For these purposes, many solutions are proposed, such as the application of creams or lotions or the application of cold, heat or the performance of massages.

The application of cold or heat is particularly effective in the treatment of many discomforts. This helps activate blood and lymphatic circulation, decongest, firm tissues, tone and smooth the skin, tighten pores, reduce wrinkles, irritation, inflammation and relieve pain.

As an example concerning the area of the face including the eye and its contour, some of the most common problems encountered are the appearance of dark circles and swelling of the eyelids. One of the most effective and least expensive methods is then the application of cold to the eye contour area using a metal spoon previously placed in the cold, for example in the refrigerator. The application is done by placing the concave surface of the spoon against the eye contour area, in such a way that the eye and its eyelids are lodged inside the hollow surface, for a few minutes or a few tens of minutes.

Generally, following the application of cold, the application of a care cream or lotion is carried out in such a way as to provide additional active ingredients. The application is done by massaging the fingertips on the area concerned to help the penetration of active ingredients into the skin.

Applying a spoon to the eye contour area is not necessarily easy and does not always lead to the desired result. Indeed, the concave surface may be too hollow or too large with the result that the upper and lower eyelids are not completely in contact with the walls of the spoon and do not benefit from the cold. In addition, the temperature of the walls of the spoon decreases rapidly.

An object of the present invention is to provide a cosmetic care and treatment device, in particular of the face, by supplying cold or heat, which is adapted to the area including the eye and its contour, which is simple in design and use and which is effective.

Another object of the present invention is to provide such a device which can also be used for purposes other than the application of cold or heat, such as the application of massages to the skin, in particular to improve the penetration of a cosmetic or dermatological product.

To this end, a cosmetic care and treatment device is proposed, comprising a closed container containing a fluid and a handle integral with the container, the container being delimited by:

• a first concave surface, in the form of a portion of an ellipsoid, comprising a major longitudinal axis, delimited by first edges including first lateral edges on either side of the major longitudinal axis,
• a second surface, arranged on the other side of the container with respect to the first surface, and delimited by second edges including second lateral edges on either side of the major longitudinal axis of the first surface, and
• intermediate surfaces which connect the first edges to the second edges to close the container, including intermediate surfaces which have a downward slope between the first side edges and the second side edges.

The device according to the invention is therefore perfectly adapted to be applied against the zone of the face including the eye and its contour. The first concave surface is intended to be applied against the closed mobile eyelid on the eye. One of the intermediate surfaces with a slope is intended to be applied against the lower eyelid, the other against the part of the upper eyelid which extends from the upper palpebral fold to the eyebrows.

The container filled with fluid and previously placed in the cold or in the heat will allow the precise and effective application of cold or heat on the eyelids.

Within the meaning of the invention, the term “area of the face including the eye and its contour” or even the term “ocular sphere” is understood to mean the area comprising the lower eyelid and the lower eyelid, the latter including the mobile eyelid and the part between the upper palpebral fold and the eyebrows.

Advantageously, the second surface is convex.

This characteristic is particularly advantageous because the convex surface can be used on any area of the face for the application of cold, the performance of massages, in particular massages to improve the penetration into the dermis of a cosmetic product.

According to a preferred embodiment, the container has the shape of an ellipsoid portion comprising a major longitudinal axis.

According to this embodiment, the major axis of the ellipsoid portion of the first surface and the major axis of the ellipsoid portion of the container are parallel and coincident in the plane of symmetry of the device.

According to one embodiment, each intermediate surface has curved edges which connect the first and second lateral edges and whose concavities are turned towards the outside of said intermediate surface.

According to a preferred embodiment, the handle and the first concave surface are aligned.

Advantageously, the handle has a connection part to the container which is curved.

Preferably, the container is filled with a fluid or a gel capable of being cooled or heated, such as water or a cooling fluid.

Advantageously, the container and the handle are made of stainless steel.

According to an advantageous embodiment, the container and the handle are in one piece.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF EMBODIMENTS

In connection with Figs. 1 to 4 is shown a device 100 for care and cosmetic treatment according to the invention.

The device 100 comprises a closed container 101 and a handle 102. The container 101 and the handle 102 are one-piece and thus form one and the same molded part and composed of one and the same material. Advantageously, the material is a stainless steel.

The container 101 is filled with a fluid E, such as water, or even a gel, capable of being cooled by storage in a refrigerator, a freezer or any other means.

The container 101 is the portion of the device intended to be in contact with the skin, and particularly suitable, as explained below, for being applied against the eye contour area, that is to say the part extending from the lower eyelid to the brow bone.

The container 101 is delimited by surfaces including a first surface 103 which is concave when viewed from the front by an observer (Fig.1). This first surface 103 is in the form of a portion of an ellipsoid which has a major longitudinal axis x1. It is delimited by first edges including first lateral edges 104 and 105 on either side of the axis x1, respectively. The side edges 104 and 105 face each other.

The surface 103 thus forms a hollow particularly suitable for housing the eye closed by the movable eyelid.

The container 101 is further delimited by a second surface 106 which is on the other side of the container with respect to the first surface 103 (Fig. 2; Fig. 3). This second surface 106 is delimited by second edges including second lateral edges 107 and 108 arranged on either side of the axis x1, respectively.

Thus, with reference to the major axis x1, the side edges 104 and 107 are opposite each other and on the same side of the axis x1. Similarly, the side edges 105 and 108 face each other and on the other side of the axis x1.

The second surface 106 is convex when viewed from the front by an observer. The container 101 thus has the shape of a portion of an ellipsoid comprising a major longitudinal axis x2.

In a plane of symmetry P of the device 100, or when the latter is seen from above according to FIG. 1, the major axis x1 of the ellipsoid portion 103 and the major axis x2 of the ellipsoid portion of the container 101 are parallel and coincident.

The second convex surface 106 is particularly suitable for massaging the skin, in particular for improving the penetration of a cosmetic product such as a cream or a lotion (Fig. 2; Fig. 3). Further, the second surface 106 can be used simply to provide cold application to an area of the face or another area of the body.

Between the first surface 103 and the second surface 106 extend intermediate surfaces, including the intermediate surfaces 109 and 110 (Fig. 1; Fig. 3). These two surfaces are flat.

The intermediate surface 109 extends between the side edge 104 of the first surface 103 and the side edge 107 of the second surface 106. It has a downward slope between the side edge 104 and the side edge 107. Curved edges 111, 112 close this surface 109 by connecting the side edge 104 of the surface 103 to the side edge 107 of the second surface 106. The concavities of the edges 111, 112 are turned towards the outside of said intermediate surface 109.

The intermediate surface 110 extends for its part between the lateral edge 105 of the first surface 103 and the lateral edge 108 of the second surface 106. It has a downward slope between the lateral edge 105 and the lateral edge 108. The intermediate surface 110 has curved edges 113 and 114 which close off this surface by connecting the side edge 105 to the side edge 108 and whose concavities face outwards from said intermediate surface.

The intermediate surfaces 109 and 110 are thus symmetrically opposed to each other with respect to the x1 axis of the first surface 103 and thus particularly suitable for being applied against the eye contour area of a face. In addition, the use of the device 100 is possible at the level of the two eye contour areas.

Thus against the right eye the intermediate surface 110 will be applied against the lower eyelid, and the intermediate surface 109 against the part of the upper eyelid which extends from the upper palpebral fold to the eyebrows. Against the left eye, the intermediate surface 109 will be applied against the lower eyelid, and the intermediate surface 110 against the part of the upper eyelid which extends from the upper palpebral fold to the eyebrows.

In the preferred embodiment of the invention, the handle 102 and the first surface 103 are aligned (Fig.1). Thus, the major axis x1 of the ellipsoid portion 103 is in the plane of symmetry P of the device 100 which passes through the handle 102. The two flat intermediate surfaces 109, 110 are opposite each other by either side of this plane of symmetry P.

The handle 102 has a connection part 115 to the container 101 which is curved and which extends in a direction greater than the first surface 103, providing a slight curve so as to adapt to the shape of the face, in particular the contour side of the face (Fig.2; Fig. 3).

The handle 102 may have an elliptical cross-section whose major axis x3 is in the plane of symmetry P (FIG. 4). The minor axis x4 decreases progressively from the connection part 115 to the free end 116 of the handle 102.

Alternatively, the handle could have a cylindrical cross section or cross section.

In Fig. 5 is illustrated the use of the device 100 for the care or treatment of the eye contour of a user, in this case, the left eye. The first concave surface 103 is applied against the eye covered by its mobile eyelid. The intermediate surface 110 is applied against the lower eyelid and the intermediate surface 109 is applied against the part of the upper eyelid which extends from the upper palpebral fold to the eyebrows.

In Fig. 6 is illustrated the use of the device 100 for the care or treatment of a region of the face other than the eye contour, for example for a massage. In this case, it is the second convex surface 106 which is applied against the skin.

Claims (10)

Cosmetic care and treatment device (100), comprising a closed container (101) containing a fluid and a handle (102) integral with the container, the container (101) being delimited by:
- a first concave surface (103), in the form of a portion of an ellipsoid, comprising a major longitudinal axis (x1), delimited by first edges including first lateral edges (104, 105) on either side of the major longitudinal axis (x1),
- a second surface (106), arranged on the other side of the container (101) with respect to the first surface (103), and delimited by second edges including second lateral edges (107, 108) on either side other from the major longitudinal axis (x1) of the first surface (103), and
- intermediate surfaces which connect the first edges to the second edges to close the container, including intermediate surfaces (109, 110) which have a downward slope between the first side edges (104, 105) and the second side edges (107, 108 ). Device (100) according to claim 1, characterized in that the second surface (106) is convex. Device (100) according to Claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the container (101) has the shape of a portion of an ellipsoid comprising a major longitudinal axis (x2). Device (100) according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the major longitudinal axis (x1) of the ellipsoid portion of the first surface (103) and the major longitudinal axis (x2) of the ellipsoid portion of the container 101 are parallel and coincident in the plane of symmetry (P) of the device (100). Device (100) according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that each intermediate surface (109, 110) has curved edges (111, 112) (113, 114) which connect the first (104, 105) and second edges side ((107, 108) and whose concavities face outward from said intermediate surface (109, 110). Device (100) according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the major axis (x1) of the ellipsoid portion (103) lies in the plane of symmetry P of the device 100 which passes through the handle (102) . Device (100) according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the handle (102) has a curved connection part (115) to the container (101). Device (100) according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the container (101) is filled with a fluid or a gel capable of being cooled or heated, such as water or a cooling fluid. Device (100) according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the container (101) and the handle (102) are made of stainless steel.
