Abstract

La présente invention a pour objet un procédé de détermination d’un volume de carburant sortant d’un rail d’injection, en vue d’estimer le volume de carburant, injecté dans les cylindres d’un moteur thermique d’un véhicule automobile. Le procédé comprend notamment les étapes de détermination (E2) de la variation de pression du carburant circulant dans le rail d’injection du véhicule pendant une durée prédéterminée, de calcul (E3) de la variation de volume du carburant circulant dans le rail d’injection à partir de la variation de pression déterminée, de détermination (E5) du volume de carburant pompé par la pompe haute pression dans le rail d’injection, dit « volume d’entrée », et de calcul (E6) du volume de carburant sortant du rail d’injection à partir du volume d’entrée déterminé et de la variation de volume du carburant calculée.
