Abstract

L'invention a trait à une structure de bas de caisse de véhicule automobile, comprenant, de chaque côté latéral (2) : un longeron (10) ; un renfort (14) formant un profilé s'étendant le long du longeron (10) correspondant. La section transversale de chacun des deux renforts (14) présente une portion basse (20), une portion haute (22) et une portion intermédiaire (24) entre lesdites portions basse (20) et haute (22). La portion basse (20) présente une largeur maximale du profilé et la portion haute (22) présente une largeur minimale dudit profilé, de manière à ce que ladite portion basse (20) se déforme avant ladite portion haute (22), en cas de choc latéral sur le véhicule automobile.
