Abstract

Description

The present invention relates to the field of interior and exterior equipment of houses, apartment buildings, buildings for professional, administrative or commercial use, public buildings or the like, in particular security and / or decorative equipment for stairs, open or unopened surfaces. receiving public or employees, raised spaces for the passage or stay of people.

The invention relates more specifically to a post for a balustrade, railing, ramp or the like, as well as a balustrade system, railing, ramp or the like comprising at least one such post.

Many post constructions for this type of system are already known, in particular for metal posts.

In general, this type of post comprises an elongated body provided with several fixing sites for one or more filling elements intended to extend between two posts, these sites being distributed along said body, said elongated body also comprising, at at a lower end, a plate for fixing to the ground and, at an opposite upper end, a mounting support for a handrail, an upper rail or the like, said post having a composite structure, with a mechanical assembly of the plate and the support with the elongated body.

Document FR 2 917 470 by the applicant, in particular, discloses a post construction of this type.

Although satisfactory, this known post has a relatively complex structure, with many parts to be assembled with screws and a non-symmetrical construction, in particular at the body of the post. Indeed, the fixing sites are arranged, prominently, on one side of the post, for example not allowing an assembly of the filling elements (glazed plate, opaque panel, cables, tubes, grating, ...) in the thickness of the posts (that is to say in a plane extending between two posts and in the transverse thickness of the latter).

Furthermore, as illustrated in particular in FIGS. 10A and 10B of document FR 2 917 470, the plate for fixing to the ground consists

-2generally in a preassembled part comprising, in addition to the plate of the plate itself, a central core welded on this plate (and fitting into the lower end of the hollow body of the post) and a covering cap intended to cover externally the lower end of the body of the post, which fits therein.

This pre-assembly by welding the core on the plate can lead to manufacturing deformations and inaccuracies, the effects of which can be noted during installation (for example: non-vertical orientation of the post, assembly problems with the body of the post) or over time, in use.

In addition, this pre-assembly also results in a bulky three-dimensional part (penalizing for marketing as a ready-to-assemble assembly) and expensive to manufacture.

The object of the present invention is to propose a new post construction which makes it possible to overcome at least the main drawbacks listed above.

To this end, the invention relates to a post of the type mentioned above in the introduction and which is characterized in that its elongated body consists essentially of two hollow profiled parts in the form of mechanically assembled half-shells, and between which are mounted, on the one hand, connecting pieces and bracing distributed along said elongated body and each coming into engagement with the two half-shells so as to connect them together and, on the other hand, a piece of anchoring for the attachment of the fixing plate to the body, the two half-shells being non-contiguous and at least one central portion of the body of each of said connecting and bracing pieces being released and accessible.

Figures 1, 2 and 12 in particular show a post 1 for balustrade, railing, ramp or similar device, comprising an elongated body 2 provided with several fixing sites 3 for one or more filling elements 4 intended to extend between two posts 1, these sites 3 being distributed along said body 2.

This elongated body 2 also comprises, at a lower end 5, a plate for fixing to the ground and, at an opposite upper end 5 ', a mounting support 7 for a handrail, an upper rail or the like , said post 1 having a composite structure, with a mechanical assembly of the plate 6 and of the support 7 with the elongated body 2.

In accordance with the invention, the elongated body 2 essentially consists of two hollow profiled parts 8 and 8 'in the form of half-shells, mechanically assembled and between which are mounted, on the one hand, connecting parts 9 and d 'bracing distributed along said elongated body 2 and each coming into engagement with the two half-shells 8 and 8' so as to connect them together (with a spacing) and, on the other hand, an anchoring piece 10 for the fastening of the fixing plate 6 with the body 2, the two half-shells 8 and 8 'being non-contiguous and a central portion 9' at least of the body 9 ”of each of said connecting and bracing pieces 9 being released and accessible.

By providing a structure of the post 1 with two spaced half-shells 8 and 8 ′ and parts 9, both connecting and bracing, which are partially visible and accessible after assembly of the body 2, the invention makes it possible to installation of filling elements 4 in the thickness of the posts 1. These elements 4 can be fixed to the central portions 9 ′ released from the parts 9 (thus all constituting potential fixing points 3) and / or even cross these ci, or the slot portions 8 ”between the pieces 9. A given element 4 can extend between two neighboring posts 1 only, or alternatively between a plurality of such posts.

In addition, by providing a separate and specific anchoring piece 10 for assembling the fixing plate 6 with the body 2 of the post 1, the structure of said plate 6 is much simpler and less bulky than that known in the art. 'state of the art.

The two half-shells 8 and 8 ′ may have sections of various shapes, depending in particular on the external shape and the aesthetics desired for the post 1, provided that they provide mounting and joining sites for the parts 9 and part 10.

In accordance with a preferred embodiment variant, however, with a simple structure and economical in material, each elongated hollow profiled part 8, 8 ′ has in cross section a substantially A-shaped section, for example with a rounded tip, with an outer wall 11 enveloping, for example substantially semi-elliptical, and an inner transverse wall 11 'connecting the barrels of A and constituting with the outer wall 11 a groove 12 of which it delimits the bottom (see Figures 3 and 4 in particular).

Preferably, with a view to optimizing manufacturing costs, the two half-shells 8 and 8 ′ have identical sections and consist of metal profiles produced by the same extrusion die.

In order to be able to carry out mutual mechanical coupling of the two half-shells 8 and 8 ′ in a simple manner, without requiring additional fastening elements (in addition to the parts 9), or of a specific tool, the invention advantageously provides that the 'assembly between a given connecting piece and bracing 9 and each of the two half-shells 8 and 8' is obtained by an assembly link of bayonet type.

More precisely, and as shown in FIGS. 3, 4B, 7A and 8, the interior transverse wall 11 'of each half-shell 8, 8' is provided with cutouts 13 allowing the passage, in a determined orientation only, of the refined ends 14 opposite and provided with radial bayonets 14 ′ with a connecting and bracing piece 9, the cylindrical body 9 ”wider of the latter coming to bear (preferably in wedged manner) against said transverse wall 11 ′ in the state assembled.

A person skilled in the art understands that each part 9 is introduced by its two thinned ends 14 provided with bayonets 14 ′, in a given rotational orientation (alignment with the ears of the cut out orifices 13), in the cutouts 13 of the walls 11 ′ of the two half-hulls 8 and 8 ', these engagements then being locked and blocked by rotation (for example on Va of turn) of the part 9 concerned around its axis (Figure 8).

According to an advantageous construction characteristic of the invention, emerging from FIGS. 5 and 8 in particular, authorizing the passage of an elongated part and simply providing a housing or fixing site 3, the central portion 9 'of the body 9 ”of each part of connection and bracing 9 is provided with a through hole 15, a lateral bore 15 'opening into said through hole 15 being possibly present, if necessary provided with a thread. In accordance with an advantageous practical constructive variant of the invention, the anchoring piece 10 comprises male hooking means 18 forming bolts and each transverse wall 11 'striker-shaped and includes a cutout 18' with a part 19 allowing the passage of bolts 18 and a part 19 'which does not allow it and offset towards the lower end 5 of the half-shell 8, 8' concerned with respect to part 19, the male hooking means 18 advantageously consisting of two projecting portions a pin 20 passing through the anchoring part 10 (pin added in a bore 10 'advantageously formed in the upper part of the part 10, at a distance from the blind hole 16).

With this variant, the mounting of the anchoring piece 10 in the body 2 can be carried out without tools. In addition, this assembly is locked in position by pulling downwards and locked when the fixing plate 6 is secured by means of the screw 17 (FIGS. 10). Indeed, the fixing plate 6, in the form of a perforated plate, comes to bear on the edges of the lower ends 5 of the half-shells 8 and 8 ’of the body 2 under the stress of the securing screw 17.

In order to lock the assembly of the plate 6 with the body 2 or the post 1 by a direct coupling between the half-shells 8 and 8 'and the plate 6, while leading to an alignment of said plate 6 with said body 2 , it may be provided, as shown in particular in FIGS. 10A and 10B, that said lower ends 5 comprise receiving housings 21 for screws 21 ′ for locking and alignment also passing through the fixing plate 6.

In accordance with another characteristic of the invention, more particularly apparent from FIGS. 11A to 11C, the support 7 for mounting a handrail element or the like 4 'comprises a rod 22 provided, at its upper end, with a cradle 22 'for reception with maintenance of the handrail or the like 4', this rod 22 fitting, by its lower end, into a tubular guide 23 sandwiched between the upper ends 5 'of the two half-shells 8 and 8 'and united

The two half-shells 8 and 8 ’may for example have at their upper ends 5’ recesses for screws similar to the lower recess 21 (FIG. 11 A). Said housings can be profiled housings extending over the entire length of demicoques 8, 8 ’.

Likewise, the cradle part 22 ’is fixed by screwing, and with variable inclination, on the rod 22, which can be locked in the guide 23 by clamping screws (for example needle).

Preferably, the various constituent components are all made of metal, the two half-shells 8 and 8 ’being identical and consisting of extruded aluminum profiles.

The invention also relates, as partially shown in FIG. 12, to a system 24 of a stair railing, balustrade, railing or the like, comprising several posts, filling elements 4, continuous or discontinuous, located between the posts and held by them, and a handrail or smooth 4 'carried by said posts, at least one of the posts of this system 24 being a post 1 as described above.

In accordance with an advantageous practical presentation, in terms of packaging, and as partially shown in FIG. 2, the or each post 1 is in the form of a ready-to-assemble assembly, possibly with the other constituent elements of said system 24, the latter being modular and scalable in nature, that is to say adaptable to different constructions and embodiments.

Finally, the invention also relates to a method of mounting a post 1 of the aforementioned type.

This process essentially consists of:
