SCAFFOLDING The present invention relates to scaffolds consisting of assemblies of a plurality of tubes.
Scaffolds are already known which are commonly used in various fields, for example, that of the construction, restoration of buildings or the like, or for storing, storing relatively heavy and bulky objects, such as boats or the like, etc. Such a scaffold essentially comprises uprights positioned vertically and bars connecting the uprights by means of fasteners known to technicians in the field under the term "nuts". These amounts and bars are generally made of tubes, bars or the like. Such fastening devices are for example described and illustrated in the French Patents published under Numbers 2820770, 2923558 and 2869371 in the name of the Applicant. Scaffolding which is intended to support large loads generally consists of an assembly of vertical and horizontal tubes forming frames of generally rectangular shape or the like, and also, for the further stiffening of the scaffolding, of one or more two oblique tubes connecting two opposite corners of each frame. This embodiment gives good results but has disadvantages. In particular, it requires a large number of tubes, which increases the cost of manufacture of the scaffolding, that of its storage, that of assembly, etc., in total its cost price. In addition, as such a scaffolding is used for work, for example, masonry or the like, or the storage of objects such as boats or the like, the presence of oblique tubes, is inconvenient for the workers, for example to mount and descending different loads of any kind, or to introduce the objects inside the scaffolding for their storage. Thus, the present invention aims to provide a scaffold which largely overcomes the aforementioned drawbacks scaffolds of the prior art, and which further has a structure to minimize the amount of material used for its realization, to reduce its weight and cost, while simplifying its assembly and without modifying its rigidity and strength. More specifically, the present invention relates to a scaffolding comprising at least a first tube and a second tube and means for assembling these two tubes in two non-coinciding directions, characterized in that said means for assembling the two tubes comprise: a connector for fixing the second tube to the first tube, - a U-shaped part comprising a base and two branches offset from said base, - two jumpers secured respectively to the two branches, each jumper being able to ride by plugging at least partially said first tube, and - means for fixing said base on said connector so that the two jumpers respectively surround at least partially said first tube. Other features and advantages of the invention will become apparent from the following description given with reference to the accompanying drawings for illustrative but not limiting purposes, in which: FIG. 1 is a side view, in schematic form, of a of embodiment of a part of a scaffold according to the invention, which comprises according to this embodiment, an assembly of three tubes, Figures 2 and 3 respectively show a side view and a bottom view of a mode. embodiment of an essential element constituting the structure of the scaffold according to the invention, and FIG. 4 is a perspective view of the element represented in FIGS. 2 and 3. It is firstly specified that, in the figures, the same references 30 designate the same elements, whatever the figure on which they appear and whatever the form of representation of these elements. Similarly, if elements are not specifically referenced in one of the figures, their references can be easily found by referring to another figure. It is also pointed out that the figures essentially represent an embodiment of the object according to the invention, but that there may be other embodiments which meet the definition of this invention. It is furthermore specified that, when, according to the definition of the invention, the object of the invention comprises "at least one" element having a given function, the embodiment described may comprise several of these elements. Conversely, if the embodiment of the object according to the invention as illustrated has several elements of identical function and if, in the description, it is not specified that the object according to this invention must obligatorily comprise a number particular of these elements, the object of the invention may be defined as comprising "at least one" of these elements. It is also clarified that when, in the present description, an expression alone defines, without specific reference to it, a set of structural characteristics, these characteristics can be taken, for the definition of the object of the requested protection. when technically possible, either separately or in full and / or partial combination. It is also specified that, in the present description, if the adverb "substantially" is associated with a qualifier of a given means, this qualifier must be understood in the strict sense or approached. Furthermore, within the meaning of the present description, by "scaffolding", it should be understood any metal construction comprising at least two assembled tubes, which is advantageously removable irrespective of its application. By "tube", it must be understood as well as solid bars or not, as tubes themselves. The present invention relates to a scaffolding which comprises at least a first tube 11, a second tube 12 and means for assembling these two tubes in two non-coinciding directions D1, D2 which are generally perpendicular to each other, the first tube 11 being generally vertical and therefore the second horizontal tube 12. Of course, such a scaffolding will comprise a plurality of first tubes and a plurality of second tubes, all assembled together in a well-known manner, for making a grid, for example of a building or the like, in order to allow workers to intervene at all levels of the building to carry out masonry work, maintenance, restoration, etc. With reference to the appended figures, the means for assembling the first and second tubes comprise a connector 20, such as that described and illustrated in FR-A-2 923 558 referenced above, for fixing the second tube 12 on the first tube 11, a U-shaped part 22 comprising a base 23 and two branches 25, 26 offset from the base 23, two jumpers 27, 28 secured respectively to the two branches 25, 26, each jumper being able to ride on at least partially the first tube 11, and means for fixing this base 23 on the connector 20 so that the two jumpers 27, 28 respectively surround at least partially this first tube 11. According to an advantageous embodiment, as more particularly visible in the figure 4, the base 23 and the two branches 25, 26 are located in the same first plane P1, the two jumpers 27, 28 being each defined in a second plane P2-1, P2-2, the two second planes being e preferably parallel to each other and substantially perpendicular to the first plane P1.
In addition, the two jumpers 27, 28 each define, on their inner face, two cylinder portions 27-p, 28-p open at an angle at least equal to one hundred and eighty degrees, to allow the mooring of the first tube 11. The respective axes 27-a, 28-a of these two cylinder portions are merged and the two open cylinder portions are substantially complementary to the outer surface of the first tube 11. In a preferred embodiment, the means for securing the base on the connector 20 are constituted, Figure 1, by a first hole 31 formed in the connector 20 along a first axis which is substantially perpendicular to the two directions D1, D2, a tip 32 integral protruding from a point 50 of the base 23, this endpiece having a cross section substantially complementary to the first orifice 31 so that it is plugged into this first orifice 31, and means to shoulder firmly against the outer wall of the connector ur 20, the end of the tip 32 emerging from the first hole 31, so as to firmly secure between them the base 23 and the connector 20. In a particularly preferred embodiment, this tip 32 which is integral projecting from the base 23 is constituted by a bolt 40 having a shoulder head 41 and a length greater than the sum of the thicknesses of the connector 20 of the base 23, this bolt being plugged into a second orifice 33 made in the base 23, of way that its shoulder head is able to abut against the outer wall of the connector.
In this case, the means for firmly abutting, against the outer wall of the connector 20, the end of the tip 32 emerging from the first orifice 31, are very advantageously constituted by a threading formed on the emerging end of the bolt and a nut 35 screwed onto this emergent threaded end so as to bring the shoulder head of the bolt abutting against the wall of the connector 20, to trap the connector 20 and the base 23 between the shoulder head 41 and the nut 35. In a very advantageous manner, the base 23 comprises, FIGS. 2 and 4, a rib 43 projecting on its face 44 which is able to come into contact with the connector 20 when the two jumpers 27, 28 ride on the first tube 11 This rib 43 is located on this face 44 so that the point 50, and therefore the second orifice 33, is located between it and the first tube 11. This rib has the function, with reference in particular to Figure 2, to allow at the pivot base 23 er in the direction ofextrorsum, and thus allow the two jumpers to ride the first tube 11 forcibly when for example the nut 35 is screwed in force on the bolt 40, by joining together the base 23 and the connector 20 Even more preferably, when the two branches 25, 26 have the same thickness E taken in a direction perpendicular to the two second planes P2-1, P2-2, FIG. 3, the point 50 is located on the base 23 of FIG. so that the distance separating the end piece 32 from a third plane P3 located equidistant from the two second planes P2-1, P2-2 and parallel thereto is at least equal to half the thickness E d 'a branch. This characteristic is very advantageous because it makes it possible to assemble two second tubes 12 with a first tube 11, by means of two identical U-shaped pieces when the two second tubes 12 are either on either side of the first tube 11 with their axes combined (Figure 1), either in the same plane perpendicular to the first direction Dl but with their axes not merged. Indeed, as illustrated in FIG. 1, the U-shaped piece 22 situated on the right side of the figure is identical to that located on the left side, but in a position corresponding to a rotation of one hundred and eighty degrees with respect to the position of the U-shaped piece on the left side of the figure. Thus, the jumpers of the two U-shaped pieces are one below the other, one of the jumpers of one of the two pieces 22 being between the two jumpers of the other piece 22, the first and second orifices 31, 33 being symmetrical with respect to the first tube 11.
It should be noted that, according to the representation of FIG. 1, the distance separating the end piece 32 from a third plane P3 located equidistant from the two second planes P2-1, P2-2 and parallel to them (FIG. 3) , is strictly equal to half the thickness E of a branch, resulting that two consecutive riders are in contact one above the other. If this distance were greater, the riders would be distant from each other. Preferably, the U-shaped part 22 is made of aluminum. In addition, when the first tube 11 is of substantially cylindrical shape of revolution, the two cylinder portions of the riders are half-cylinders of hollow revolution of the same diameter as the first cylindrical tube of revolution. According to one possible embodiment, the connector 20 for fixing the second tube 12 on the first tube 11 comprises a fastening lug 21 integral with the first tube 11 and a connecting piece 29 for releasably connecting the second tube 12 with this lug 21, for example by means of a key or the like as illustrated in Figure 1, the two jumpers 27, 28 respectively respectively surrounding at least partially the first tube 11 on either side of the bracket 21. to emphasize that this connecting piece 29 may have different shapes. It may for example be a piece attached to one end of the second tube 12, or this end itself which would be hollow to be able to overlap the tab 21.
The scaffolding according to the invention responds well to the goals defined in the preamble of the present description. Indeed, as mentioned in the preamble of the present description, a scaffolding is formed of a tube assembly which forms frames and, despite the rigid systems used in the prior art for connecting the tubes to each other at the four corners. each frame, when this scaffolding is subjected to heavy loads, these frames are able to deform in rhombus at their vertices. To overcome this drawback, such a scaffolding according to the prior art further comprises pulling tubes arranged along the diagonals of the frames.
In a scaffolding according to the invention described above, each U-shaped part bears solidly against the horizontal tubes 12 and the connector 20, which distributes the forces at three distinct points on the vertical tubes 11 and furthermore stiffens the vertices of the frames that no longer tend to deform as in the scaffolding of the prior art.
It is possible to perfectly rigidify a frame of a scaffold according to the invention which comprises a U-shaped part 22 at its four corners. It has been found, however, that for some applications, a scaffolding according to the invention comprising a U-shaped piece at only two opposite corners of a frame also gave a good result. It is even possible, for scaffolding for example of low height, to provide a single U-shaped part to one of the four vertices. As described above, it is evident that the manufacturing cost of the structure of a scaffold according to the invention is less expensive than that of a scaffolding of the prior art, as well as the cost its assembly, disassembly and storage. In addition, a scaffolding according to the invention makes it possible, for example in the case of storage of objects such as boats or the like, to introduce these objects inside the scaffolding, by passing through the openings of the frames without be hampered by the tie rods placed in the diagonal frames, since these tie rods no longer exists in this scaffolding. Finally, the structure according to the invention, which, as demonstrated above, does not require tubes in the diagonal of the frames, has an aesthetic appearance that does not present those which comprise pulling tubes following the diagonals of the frames.
