Abstract

L'invention se rapporte à un procédé de préparation d'une poudre qui comprend des particules de U3O8 et des particules de PuO2 en mélange intime et qui peut comprendre, de plus, des particules de ThO2 ou de NpO2. Ce procédé est caractérisé en ce qu'il comprend : a) la préparation, par précipitations oxaliques, d'une suspension aqueuse Si de particules d'oxalate d'uranium(IV) et d'une suspension aqueuse S2 de particules d'oxalate de plutonium(IV) ; b) le mélange de la suspension aqueuse Si avec la suspension aqueuse S2 pour obtenir une suspension aqueuse S1+2 comprenant des particules d'oxalate d'uranium(IV) et des particules d'oxalate de plutonium(IV) ; c) la séparation de la suspension aqueuse S1+2 en une phase aqueuse et une phase solide comprenant les particules d'oxalate d'uranium(IV) et les particules d'oxalate de plutonium(IV) ; et d) la calcination de la phase solide pour transformer (1) les particules d'oxalate d'uranium(IV) en particules de U3O8 et (2) les particules d'oxalate de plutonium(IV) en particules de PuO2, moyennant quoi la poudre est obtenue ; et en ce que les étapes b) et c) sont réalisées simultanément ou successivement. Applications : fabrication de combustibles nucléaires de type MOX, par exemple pour réacteurs REL ou RNR.
