Abstract

GENERAL TECHNICAL AREA AND PRIOR ART

The present invention relates to the field of sports articles used in particular for training in a combat sport or for the practice of fitness. The invention relates more particularly to a sports article which can be used as a punching bag.

Several types of punching bags are known in the prior art. First of all, we know the so-called "hanging" punching bags which are fixed in height, for example, to a fixing beam so that they can be located above the ground. Such a punching bag cannot be moved in a practical manner and can only be used in an upright position, which has a drawback.

Furthermore, punch bags are known which are placed on the ground and able to hold vertically. These punch bags, called "freestanding", allow you to lie down in a horizontal position to allow you to perform exercises at ground level.

A self-supporting punching bag is known in the prior art which comprises an elongated punching module which is connected to a lower base which is ballasted in order to allow the punching module to be kept in a vertical position. Such a striking module can thus be struck on a plurality of heights, that is to say, as well at head, shoulder, waist or leg height. Such a punching bag is for example known from patent application EP2703052A1.

In practice, the lower base has a high mass, which has several drawbacks. First, when the punching bag is in the horizontal position, it is painful to lift it in the vertical position, which unnecessarily tires the user during his training. In addition, to move the punching bag, the user grasps the upper end of the punching module and rotates it to make the lower base roll up like a parasol. Such displacement generates shearing forces, which favors the appearance of zones of weakness in the impact module and shortens its service life.

An immediate solution would be to reduce the mass of the lower base, but this has the disadvantage of reducing the stability of the punching bag in the vertical position. Indeed, the slightest blow to the striking module destabilizes the punching bag which lies in a horizontal position.

The aim of the invention is therefore to remedy these drawbacks by proposing a new type of sports article which eliminates at least some of these drawbacks. Although the invention was originally born to eliminate the drawbacks of a punching bag for training in combat sport, the sports article according to the invention has many advantages for the practice of fitness and combat sports.

GENERAL PRESENTATION OF THE INVENTION

To this end, the invention relates to a sporting article, in particular for training in combat sport and / or for exercising fitness, comprising a striking body of elongated shape and at least one ballast adapted to stabilize the body. in the vertical position.

The invention is remarkable in that said ballast is positioned in said striking body so that the striking body envelops said ballast so as to allow a user to strike the entire outer surface of said sporting article.

Thanks to the invention, a user can strike the entire outer surface of the sports article without risk of injury by striking the ballast. Indeed, the ballast is integrated into the impact body and cannot be struck directly. Such a sporting article is particularly advantageous for performing sequences when the sporting article is in a vertical then horizontal position.

Preferably, the impact body has at least one interior cavity in which said ballast is positioned. Such an interior cavity makes it possible to reserve space for the installation of the ballast. The sports item can thus be assembled in a practical way.

Preferably, the impact body comprises at least a lower part and an upper part adapted to cooperate by complementarity of shapes around said ballast. In other words, the impact body forms a capsule around said ballast which assembles vertically around said ballast. Such an assembly is practical and quick. Preferably, the impact body only consists of two parts, which limits its manufacturing cost and its assembly time.

According to a preferred aspect, the lower part has a hardness greater than that of the upper part. This is particularly advantageous since the ballast extends mainly in the lower part. The hardness of the lower part limits the deformation of the lower part and, consequently, limits the risk of the user coming into contact with the ballast. In addition, from the point of view of use, a hard lower part is preferable since it receives mostly kicks which are given with great power.

Preferably, the lower part comprising a plurality of lower teeth and the upper part comprising a plurality of upper teeth, the lower teeth and the upper teeth cooperate by complementarity of shapes. The cooperation of teeth makes it possible to transmit tangential forces effectively when the sports article is turned around its axis in an inclined position in order to move it. The impact body is therefore less subject to wear and the risk of tearing. In addition, the presence of teeth facilitates assembly and guides the compression of the impact body around the ballast. Preferably, the teeth have the same hardness, which improves the cooperation of the teeth and avoids the appearance of weak points.

Preferably, the impact body has a homogeneous density.

Preferably, the striking body has an upper portion of decreasing section from bottom to top. Such a shape makes it possible to lower the center of gravity and therefore to increase the stability of the striking body in the vertical position, which is advantageous when the sports article is struck at head height. The risk of tilting horizontally is advantageously reduced.

Preferably, the upper portion extends over a height greater than 50 cm, preferably greater than 100 cm. Such a height provides increased stability. Preferably, the upper portion has a cone shape.

According to a preferred aspect, the striking body comprises foam, preferably, consists of foam. Such a strike body allows the user to absorb strikes while limiting the risk of injury. Polyurethane foam is particularly suitable for its resistance to wear.

Preferably, the sports article is able to return to the vertical position if it is inclined relative to the ground by an angle of inclination β equal to 40 °, preferably equal to 35 °, more preferably, equal to 30 °. In other words, it is necessary to strike the striking body with a great force to lay down the sporting article. This self-restores in a vertical position for a normal force strike. In addition, when the sports article is in the horizontal position, it can be raised in a practical and effortless manner in the vertical position since it suffices for the user to raise it only 35 ° or 40 ° by report to the ground so that it straightens. Preferably, the sports article comprises a cover enveloping the external surface of said striking body. Such a cover keeps the impact body assembled with the ballast. Preferably, no glue is necessary to hold the parts of the striking body together. The cover is interchangeable and forms a wearing part since it is in direct contact with a strike by the user.

The invention also relates to a cover adapted to protect a striking body of a sports article, in particular a punching bag, comprising, at a lower end, one or more fasteners so as to allow the attachment of accessories such as a rope, a rubber band, a handle, etc.

Advantageously, the shape of the cover can be adapted to a striking body of tubular shape, of frustoconical shape or other. Such a cover advantageously makes it possible to add functions in a practical and functional manner to an existing punching bag by adding a cover comprising one or more fasteners. The positioning of the attachments advantageously makes it possible to carry out exercises with a low fixing point, which is advantageous for exercises making the legs work.

Preferably, the cover is in two parts so that it can be conveniently removed.

Preferably, at least one fastener comprises guide means in order to prevent an accessory from twisting during an exercise, preferably, a flat guide for guiding a strip of an accessory.

Preferably, the cover comprising at least one strap adapted to be grasped with the hands, at least one fastener is directly fixed to the strap so as to improve the mechanical strength of said fastener.

Preferably, the cover comprises at a lower end a peripheral loop defining a plurality of attachment straps. Thus, any mechanical effort on a strap is distributed peripherally by the buckle, which limits wear.

Preferably, the length of the buckle is adjustable so as to allow the length of the straps to be adjusted.

DESCRIPTION OF ONE OR MORE MODES OF IMPLEMENTATION AND IMPLEMENTATION

Referring to Figure 1, there is shown a sports article B according to one embodiment. As a reminder, such a sports article is capable of being struck at a plurality of heights, that is to say, as well at head, shoulder, waist or leg height.

In this example, with reference to FIGS. 3 and 4, the sports article B comprises a striking body 1 of elongated shape and a ballast 2 adapted to stabilize the striking body 1 in a vertical position. According to the invention, said ballast 2 is positioned in said striking body 1 so that the striking body 1 envelops said ballast 2 so as to allow a user to strike the entire outer surface of said sporting article B. Indeed, unlike the prior art in which the ballast forms the lower base of the sports article, the ballast is integrated into the sport article in the present invention. As a result, the sports article can be struck over its entire surface, in particular at its base. In the prior art, it was not possible to strike the base without risk of injury.

With reference to FIG. 1, the sports article B comprises a cover 5 which entirely envelops the outer surface of the striking body 1. The various elements of the sports article B will now be presented in detail.

The impact body 1 extends longitudinally along an axis Z which extends vertically from the bottom to the top in FIG. 1. Subsequently, the terms “upper” and “lower” are defined relative to said axis Z. With reference to FIG. 2, the striking body 1 has a symmetry of revolution around said axis Z. Thus, the latter can be struck regardless of its orientation. Such a characteristic is particularly advantageous since it allows a user to attack the striking body 1 from all angles in a similar manner. This is advantageous when the user projects the striking body 1 on the ground during a sequence of strikes.

The impact body 1 has a vertical height between 120 cm and 190 cm and a diameter between 30 cm and 75 cm. Such a striking body 1 can thus be struck at several heights. In addition, a height of the striking body 1 of 170 cm advantageously makes it possible to simulate an average-sized adversary in guard posture. A diameter of 60 cm corresponds to the average spacing of the legs of an opponent, which is advantageous for training.

In this example, the impact body 1 is made of foam, preferably of polyurethane foam. Such foam has the advantage of not injuring the user when typing, in particular, because of its thickness and density. The foam has a density between 30kg / m3 and 150kg / m3, preferably equal to 50kg / m3. Such a density makes it possible to offer satisfactory contact when typing by a user. Preferably, the thickness is between 3 cm and 15 cm.

As illustrated in FIG. 3, the striking body 1 comprises an interior cavity 10 in which said ballast 2 is positioned. In this example, the striking body 1 comprises a lower part IA and an upper part IB which are adapted to cooperate by complementarity of shapes around said ballast 2. For this purpose, the lower part 1A and the upper part IB each comprise a concave zone so as to together form the internal cavity 10 to accommodate a portion of the ballast 2. Preferably, the ballast 2 is mostly housed in the lower part 1 A.

As will be presented below, the interior cavity 10 is adapted to cooperate by complementarity of shapes with the ballast 2 so as to limit any operating clearance.

With reference to FIG. 2, the lower part IA comprises a plurality of lower teeth 11 and the upper part IB comprises a plurality of upper teeth 12, the lower teeth 11 and the upper teeth 12 cooperate by complementary shapes. Such cooperation at the interface between the lower part 1A and the upper part 1B is particularly advantageous because it facilitates the assembly of the parts of the striking body 1 but also promotes the movement of the striking body 1. In fact, when the body strike 1 is gripped by its upper end to be inclined and rotated about its axis Z to be moved in the manner of a parasol, the upper teeth 12 of the upper part IB mesh with the lower teeth 11 of the lower part 1 A. The tangential forces induced by the rotation are transmitted by the teeth 11, 12, which limits any risk of shearing or the appearance of zones of weakness. The service life is thus greatly increased.

Preferably, the upper teeth 12 and the lower teeth 11 have the same height and the same spacing so as to allow homogeneous cooperation. Preferably, the height of a tooth is between 1 cm and 50 cm, preferably of the order of 10 cm, while the spacing between two consecutive teeth is between 1 cm and 117 cm, preferably of around 20 cm. Preferably, each part of the impact body 1 has between 1 teeth and 117 teeth, more preferably 3 teeth. In this example, in order to allow optimal cooperation, the teeth 11, 12 have a uniform hardness in order to retain the ballast 2 in a secure manner.

The parts IA, IB of the striking body 1 are preferably produced by molding. The internal cavity 10 of the impact body 1 is preferably reinforced to limit the wear associated with contact with the ballast 2. In this example, the edges of the internal cavity 10 are radiated and reinforced with glass fibers so as to limit wear by friction.

The internal cavity 10 extends to a height of at least 3 cm, preferably at least 8 cm, in particular 10 cm, from the lower surface of the striking body 1 so as to form a striking wall capable of be struck without risk of injury.

As illustrated in Figures 2 and 3, the impact body 1 has an upper portion BS of decreasing section from bottom to top. In this example, the upper portion BS extends over a height greater than 50 cm, preferably greater than 100 cm. In this example, the height is 110 cm. In this embodiment, the upper portion BS has a cone shape but it goes without saying that other shapes could be suitable, for example, a pyramid shape. In this example, the diameter is 60 cm at the bottom of the cone and 30 cm at the top of the cone.

In this example, with reference to FIG. 9, the upper part 1 B of the striking body 1 has an empty space 13 of decreasing section from bottom to top so that the striking body 1 has the same mechanical resistance during hits both at the top and bottom. In practice, the wall has a homogeneous thickness El of approximately 15 cm. The impact body 1 thus avoids presenting hard zones while having a light weight.

Such an upper portion BS is distinguished from the prior art which proposed a substantially constant section. This characteristic is advantageous because it makes it possible to lower the center of gravity of the sports article B, which increases its stability in the vertical position. The mass of the ballast 2 can thus be reduced, which facilitates the transport and the handling of the sports article B in comparison with the prior art. Preferably, the upper portion BS belongs exclusively to the upper part 1 B, which facilitates the assembly of the striking body 1.

As illustrated in FIG. 3, the striking body 1 has a lower portion 7, the periphery of which is radiated so as to facilitate the inclination of the striking body 1 during striking and its return to the vertical position as illustrated in FIG. 5. Preferably, the lower portion 7 has a radius of between 0.5 cm and 6 cm.

In other words, like a rocking chair, the sports article B naturally returns to the vertical position during a strike of normal power thanks to its lowered center of gravity as illustrated in Figure 5. Preferably , the sporting article B is able to return to its vertical position if the axis Z of the sporting article B is inclined relative to the ground (axis H) by an angle of inclination β equal to 40 °, of preferably 35 °.

Preferably, the lower part IA of the impact body 1 has a hardness greater than that of the upper part 1B since the latter envelops the ballast 2 in its majority. Thus, if a user hits the lower part 1 B, the latter cannot be injured. This is particularly advantageous if the user wishes to strike the lower surface of the striking body 1. Advantageously, the hardness of the lower part 1A is uniform.

In this example, the ballast 2 has a mass of the order of 50 kg, in particular, between 45 kg and 55 kg. However, it goes without saying that the mass could be between 15 kg and 90 kg. The ballast 2 is made in this example of concrete since it has a reduced cost. It goes without saying that it could be made of a different material (resin, sand, metal, high density foam, etc.).

As illustrated in FIG. 3, the ballast 2 extends along the axis Z of said striking body 1 and has a symmetry of revolution around said axis Z so that the sports article B is stable in the vertical position. In this example, the ballast 2 has a shape of a cylinder of circular section but it goes without saying that other shapes could be suitable. Preferably, the ballast 2 is produced in several parts in order to facilitate its manufacture and assembly. In a preferred embodiment, the ballast 2 comprises several cylinder sections.

Preferably, the ballast 2 has edges which are radiated so as to limit the wear by friction between the ballast 2 and the internal cavity 10 of the striking body

1. The internal cavity 10 of the striking body 1 has a shape complementary to the ballast 2 so as to limit any internal operating clearance. According to a preferred aspect, the edges of the ballast 2 are reinforced, in particular with glass fibers, so as to limit wear by friction.

In this example, the ballast 2 has a height between 10 and 30 cm and a diameter between 30 and 50 cm.

As illustrated in FIG. 1, the sports article B comprises a cover 5 which entirely envelops the external surface of the striking body 1. Such a cover 5 has several functions. It allows, on the one hand, to hold together the two parts IA, IB of the striking body 1 and, on the other hand, to form a removable wear surface for the sports article B. Indeed, the cover 5 covers the outer surface of the striking body 1 and therefore receives the strikes. In order to perform various exercises, the cover 5 also includes straps and fasteners which will be presented later.

The cover 5 has a shape adapted to said striking body 1. In this example, the cover 5 has a shape of frustoconical sock but it goes without saying that it could be different. The cover 5 has a lower part 5A and an upper part 5B which are connected by a closure member 9. In this example, the closure member 9 is in the form of a zipped closure which extends at the level of the teeth 11, 12 of the impact body 1 in the mounted position. The zipper extends in the plane transverse to the axis Z along which extends the striking body 1. During assembly, the upper part 5B of the cover 5 is threaded through the upper end of the striking body 1 then down. Similarly, the lower part 5A of the cover 5 is threaded through the lower end of the striking body 1. The closure member 9 is finally closed to assemble the cover 5 on the striking body 1 and thus prevent any disassembly . The impact body 1 is compressed by the cover 5 in order to reduce any play in displacement of the ballast 2.

As illustrated in FIG. 6, the cover 5 has at its upper end several upper straps 61 in order to allow a user to grasp the upper end of the sports article B to move it or perform exercises, for example, knee strikes.

Similarly, with reference to FIG. 7, the cover 5 has at its lower end several lower straps 71. Preferably, the lower straps 71 are formed by a single peripheral loop 70 which is sewn to the body of the cover 5 so to increase the mechanical resistance of the lower straps 71. In fact, the mechanical forces are distributed peripherally and in the striking body 1 when a lower strap 71 is stressed. In this example, the peripheral length of boucleα loop 70 can be adjusted, in particular, by a system of loops and hooks of the scratch type. Preferably, with reference to Figures 7 and 8, the cover 5 has at its lower end one or more fasteners 8 so as to allow the attachment of accessories such as a rope, a rubber band, a handle, etc. In this embodiment, the fasteners 8 are fixed to the peripheral loop 70 so as to confer significant mechanical resistance. Each fastener 8 comprises guide means in order to prevent the accessory from twisting when it is connected to the fastener 8, in particular when the accessory has a flat strip.

In this example, with reference to FIG. 8, the fastener 8 comprises a connection part 81 made of plastic which integrates the guide means and a link part 82 which connects the connection part 81 to the lower strap 71. The cover 5 thus offers many training possibilities by adding accessories. Preferably, the connection part 81 has a width of between 45 and 55mm.

When in use, the user can strike the sports article B. Thanks to its lowered center of gravity, it remains in the vertical position for normal power strikes. In practice, the sports article B returns to the vertical position if it is spaced less than 60-65 ° from the vertical axis as illustrated in FIG. 5. The user can then press the sports article B to the ground and continue exercising by hitting sports article B in a horizontal position. Thanks to the invention, the user can strike the entire outer surface of the sports article B without constraint. If the user wishes to raise the sports article B in a vertical position, this requires little energy because the mass of the sports article B is reduced and straightens itself following a slight inclination of the user. . In addition, the lower radiated peripheral portion 7 of the sports article B facilitates the positioning in the vertical position. Finally, the movement of the sports article B is simple to perform by tilting and does not damage the striking body 1 due to the teeth 11, 12.

Such a sports article B is particularly suitable for training in a combat sport or for performing sports exercises, in particular fitness.

It goes without saying that the dimensions of the sports article could be adapted in order to be suitable for use by children.
