L'invention concerne un procédé d'adaptation de l'éclairage émis par un véhicule automobile, comprenant les étapes suivantes mises en œuvre dans un système de contrôle d'éclairage du véhicule automobile : - sur détection (200, 203) d'une absence d'un marquage d'une route, estimation (204) d'un profil d'un bord de ladite route ; - adaptation (205) de l'éclairage pour matérialiser au moins un marquage de la route en fonction du profil estimé.
