Abstract

The package (1) has top parts (13, 14) in form of sheet folded/pleated in truncated cone on bouquet, and bottom parts (15, 16)/base forming a water tank to receive a lower part of stems of flowers. Sidewalls (2, 3) are sealingly joined on oblique transverse sides (26-29) of top parts of length of longitudinal edges (5-8) of each sidewall, and are not connected on oblique transverse sides (22-25) of bottom parts of the length. A bottom piece (4) is folded on itself, and sealingly secures the transverse sides of bottom parts as well as bottom transverse edges (9, 10) of bottom parts. An independent claim is also included for a method for forming a package containing a bouquet of cut flowers.

Description

The present invention relates to a packaging or packaging, intended to contain a bouquet of cut flowers and forming a water reservoir. This package is also advantageously decorative.

Currently, the packages are designed from conventional sheets of flexible plastic packaging for bouquet. The florist forms, with the square or round leaf, a packaging such that after folding and pleating, it comprises a high part in the form of a leaf or folded flank and pleated in a truncated cone at the level of the "foliant" part (leaves and flowers), and a concave lower part, forming a pocket and a reservoir of water able to receive the bare lower part of the stems of flowers. This type of packaging must meet several constraints.

First, the user seeks an easy and fast shaping of the upper part of the packaging surrounding the flowers. In addition, the packaging must have the desired aesthetic appearance, while protecting the flowers as much as possible.

Moreover, the user must be able to fill the reservoir bag easily with water without any delicate maneuver. Especially in this regard, the pocket must keep before filling a seat now vertical bouquet.

In addition, the cost of packaging must be reasonable in relation to the price of the bouquet. Finally, the material constituting the reservoir bag must of course be waterproof.

However, these constraints expressed above are contradictory, and known packages do not succeed in reconciling them. In general, one of the required characteristics is sacrificed for the benefit of others. In particular, the implementation is tedious.

The present invention proposes to remedy this situation and proposes a conditioning for a bouquet of flowers, able to form a water reservoir, which is easy and quick to implement, offering a straight fit to the bouquet, and combining aesthetics in its presentation.

To this end, according to the invention, the packaging or packaging, intended to contain a cut flower bouquet, of the type made from a sheet of flexible waterproof material, and having, after implementation, an upper part shaped of sheet adapted to be folded / folded in a truncated cone at the "foliante" part of the bouquet (leaves and flowers), and a lower part forming a water reservoir adapted to receive the lower part of the flower stems, is characterized in that it is, before implementation, in the form of a flat pocket comprising: - on the one hand two opposite sides of identical general shape and opposite and provided with the upper and lower parts, extending into two general directions, a so-called longitudinal and a so-called lateral, the flanks being joined, in a sealed manner, on a first part of the length of their longitudinal edges, said edges not being connected to each other on the second part of the length ; and - on the other hand, a bottom piece folded on itself and sealingly secured to said second portion of the length of the longitudinal edges of each sidewall and the transverse edges of the lower part of each sidewall. The term "before" and "after" implementation of the package, the states of the pocket when it is respectively before handling, that is to say before it is gripped and open , and after handling it so as to open it to receive the bouquet.

The "longitudinal" direction corresponds to the direction taken in the direction of the height when the package is arranged vertically on a horizontal plane and adapted to receive water and bouquet. The "lateral" direction is the direction transverse to the longitudinal direction, that is to say extending in a substantially horizontal plane in the upright position of the package. Each side of the pocket has an upper or upper part (intended to surround the foliant lower part) whose distal and lateral edge is free, and a lower part or base connected to the bottom piece.

The base of the flanks and the bottom piece form a reservoir. More specifically, the bottom piece has two trapezoid-shaped flanges, preferably isosceles, provided with a long side and a small side, parallel to each other, the trapezoids being connected to one another by their large size. side (or base) along a fold line. According to a first embodiment, the upper part of the flanks of the pocket is in the form of a truncated cone whose flared portion is turned towards the upper free distal edge of each flank, this cone-shaped portion extending over all or part of the upper part, measured from its free distal edge to the upper end of the edges of the bottom piece. Advantageously, each sidewall comprises: a trapezoidal, preferably isosceles, lower portion connected by its small lower side to the corresponding small side of the bottom piece having two trapezoid-shaped sections; and ^ is an upper portion of rectangular or square peripheral shape provided in its surface with said triangular or trapezoidal cutout; either on the one hand a square or rectangular median portion and on the other hand an isosceles trapezoidal high portion, the short side of which is common to one of the sides of said medial portion. The flexibility of the material of the pocket as well as the geometry of the upper part of the flanks give the pocket when it is open, to present a flared shape at its upper part and to be pliable to wrap and marry the part of the bouquet associated . The joining of the edges of the flanks and the bottom piece is achieved by local melting of the material thus achieving a thermo welding. The material may have a different thickness for the sidewalls and the bottom piece, for example 0.20 mm for the sidewalls and 0.15 mm for the bottom piece.

In addition, in order to perfect the maintenance of packaging on the bouquet and enhance the decorative appearance, the packaging includes a tape fixed (by gluing, plastic welding or other) on the longitudinal edge of the upper part of the pocket, or a ribbon of any type adapted to be reported around the upper part combined with means for guiding said ribbon on the longitudinal edge of the pocket. The guiding means comprise: - Either a tongue projecting from said edge and provided with a light of appropriate dimensions to receive in thickness and width a ribbon. - Or two elements projecting from said edge and spaced from the width of the ribbon. The invention also relates to an additional decorative element, in the form of a decorative sheet of flexible material, such as colored paper, generally of star shape with several branches or points, and comprising a hole or central hole for the passage stems of the bouquet, characterized in that the sheet comprises a substantially elongate cut joining on the one hand said hole and on the other hand the junction point between two points or branches adjacent to said star.

The additional decorative element is advantageously made from two square sheets, preferably of different color, fixed one on the other in a centered manner, the points of the squares being angularly offset so as to form in a plan view a star with several branches or points.

Referring to Figure 1A, a first embodiment of the packaging of the invention is shown flat, before assembly and shaping. The packaging which is intended to form a flat pocket before any use, comprises flanks and panels cut in a sheet of flexible and waterproof material, such as for example crystal PVC. The packaging 1 comprises two identical flanks 2 and 3 and a bottom piece 4. The so-called longitudinal direction is shown schematically by the line X-X and the transverse direction by the line Y-Y. Each sidewall has longitudinal edges 5 and 6, and 7 and 8, respectively and a bottom transverse edge 9, respectively 10, and a top upper transverse edge 11, respectively 12. Each sidewall 2, 3 comprises: 10 - an upper part 13, 14 including the upper transverse edge 11, 12. - a lower part 15, 16 including the bottom transverse edge 9, 10. The bottom part 4 comprises two sections 4A and 4B, each isosceles trapezoidal shape whose two bases (Long side of the trapezium) are combined into a fold line 17 common, and whose two small sides 18, 19 are parallel to each other and to the base 17. Once the flanks 2, 3 and the bottom piece 4 cut in the sheet (not shown) is secured, for example by thermo welding, the bottom piece 4 to the two sides 2 and 3. The folding is made so as to bring the outer faces of the panels one on the other. The outer faces correspond to the faces intended to be opposite the external environment of the package. Thus, in the folded and secured position of the flanks (FIGS. 2 and 7), the bottom piece is sandwiched between the two flanks 2 and 3.

In this way, the oblique transverse edges 20A and 20B of the bottom part 4, are facing each other. It is the same oblique transverse edges 21A and 21 B. Then, we fold the bottom part 4 (two sides pressed against each other) against one of the lower parts (15 or 16) of the one of the flanks (2 or 3). This leads to the configuration shown in FIG. 2. The oblique transversal edges on the one hand 24, 25, and on the other hand 21A, 21B, respectively of the lower part 16 of the sidewall 3 and of the bottom part 4 are in look and are then joined by thermo welding. FIG. 3 shows a half in the longitudinal direction of a variant of the packaging of FIG. 2, in which it comprises, in place of the tab 34, 35, two projecting members 36, 37 fixed on a longitudinal edges, the edge 29, of the upper part 14 of the sidewall 3.

The protruding members form guiding means for associating subsequently after introduction of the bouquet in the pocket, a ribbon which will surround the upper part of the pocket. The members are spaced a distance corresponding to the width of a ribbon intended to be associated with the pocket.

FIG. 4 shows another variant in which the ribbon is directly associated with the pocket. The double-strand ribbon 38, 39 is fixed (segment 40) on one of the oblique longitudinal edges, for example 28. The ribbon is preferably in the same material as the pocket and attached by thermo welding.

The mode of use of the packaging is as follows. The user grasps the packaging that is flat and spreads the two upper transverse edges 11 and 12, so as to slightly open the bag thus formed by the packaging.

He then introduces a hand into the pocket between the facing flanks 2 and 3 until he touches the median line 17 of the bottom piece 4. The movement of the hand is continued downwards so as to press on the median line, thus causing deformation of the sections 4A and 4B which then push the lower parts 15 and 16 of the flanks, away from one another. The flanks 2 and 3 then deviate from each other. The bottom of the pocket forming a water reservoir is then produced when the sides 4A and 4B are almost flat and in the same plane.

It leads to the representation of Figure 6 showing the packaging side, with the tank filled with water E and ready to receive a bouquet of flowers.

A bouquet is introduced into the pocket and the user brings the flanks closer to each other at a substantially central level (longitudinally) to tighten the pocket at this point (at the level of the upper portions 13 and 14 of the flanks). which causes the formation of truncated cone of the upper part of the flanks.

The ribbon is then put in place by placing its respective two strands 38 and 39 on either side of the pocket and making a knot with the distal end of the strands, opposite or against the opposite longitudinal edge. This leads to the representation of Figures 9 and 10, which further shows an additional decorative element described below. Alternatively, the packaging is performed according to the example of Figure 5. Each sidewall 2 and 3 comprises (as for the example of Figures 1 and 2), a lower portion 15, and an upper portion 13. The latter is of straight cylindrical shape and comprises a triangular notch 40, centered, and whose oblique edges 41 and 42 are joined downwards (towards the lower part). The upper part of each sidewall has two segments 11A and 11B (respectively 12A and 12B) on either side of the notch 40.

The shaping of the packaging of FIG. 5 is the same as for that of FIGS. 1 and 2, namely that the user opens the pocket, the notch 40 allowing the upper part of the two sides to form a truncated cone. or a funnel shape, which can then be easily wrinkled and tightened around the bouquet. Thus, in the variant of Figure 2 or in that of Figure 5, the upper part once opened has a slightly flared upward shape which is then amplified by tightening and creasing the sides of the pocket around the rods of 2 9883 78 11 bouquet.
