Description
The invention relates to a vehicle seat comprising a seat element forming a seat surface, and a backrest or seat backrest, the backrest having a frame and an airbag or airbag, the airbag or airbag comprising an element for receiving gas and an inflation device for the element for receiving gas. It is known from EP 1 426 244 A1, a motor vehicle with a body structure and a vehicle seat attached to the body structure. The vehicle seat disclosed therein has a seat member forming a seating surface and a backrest, the backrest extending approximately vertically and adjustable in inclination. In a back wall of the vehicle seat known from EP 1 426 244 A1, is integrated an airbag module (or airbag) that provides protection of the chest.
Another vehicle seat comprising an airbag module integrated in the backrest, which provides thorax protection, is known from DE 10 2005 033 677 A1. According to this state of the art, the airbag module is attached to a backrest frame by means of an inflation device of the airbag module.
In the vehicle seats known from the state of the art above, each time airbags made in the form of autonomous modules, so-called airbag modules or airbag modules, are integrated. safety, these airbag modules having an element for receiving gas in the form of a bag of gas and an inflation device in the form of a gas generator. The airbag modules are supplied by the suppliers in the form of completely autonomous modules, and are integrated in a vehicle seat under 2943598 -2 form of separate modules in terms of function and construction. As a result, they contribute to a relatively high weight for a vehicle seat. From this point of view, the object of the present invention is to provide a new vehicle seat which has a lower weight and which can be manufactured at lower cost. This object is achieved by a vehicle seat according to the invention. According to the invention, the element for receiving gas is defined or limited on the one hand by a portion of the frame and on the other hand by a delimiting element fixed to the frame, which is displaceable or deformable when the tire is inflated. airbag. In the case of a vehicle seat according to the invention, the airbag is no longer formed by an autonomous airbag module, but instead the element for receiving gas from the airbag is defined on the one hand by a portion of the backrest frame and secondly by a delimiting element 15 fixed to the frame and movable during inflation of the airbag. The functions of an airbag realized in the form of a separate module according to the state of the art are therefore transferred to the seat of the vehicle, namely in its backrest, and are therefore taken up by modules of the vehicle seat, so that the weight and cost of the vehicle seat can be reduced. In the case of the vehicle seat according to the invention, the backrest and the airbag form an integrated assembly. Preferred improvements of the invention result from the following description. Non-limiting exemplary embodiments of the invention will be explained in more detail with the help of the drawings, in which: FIG. 1 illustrates a highly schematised cross section through a backrest of a vehicle seat according to the invention ; and Figure 2 illustrates a representation similar to Figure 1 with the inflated airbag. 2943598 -3 Figures 1 and 2 illustrate a cross section strongly schematized through a folder 10 of a vehicle seat according to the invention, the folder 10 is also designated seat back. Such backrest 10 extends substantially in the vertical direction and can be adjusted in inclination with respect to a seat member not shown in Fig. 1, which provides a seating surface. The cutting direction of the cross section illustrated in Figures 1 and 2 through the backrest 10 extends in the horizontal direction, and is illustrated in addition to the backrest 10, namely in addition to a support wall or 10 support lug 11 of the backrest 10 extending forwards, a door covering 12 of a body structure of a motor vehicle, wherein the vehicle seat according to the invention is preferably used. In addition, Figures 1 and 2 illustrate in a strongly schematically an occupant of the vehicle 13 sitting on the vehicle seat. In this case, the backrest support wall 11 extends laterally adjacent to the occupant of the vehicle 13. The backrest 10 of the vehicle seat according to the invention comprises a frame 14, FIGS. 1 and 2 not illustrating that the portions 15 of the frame 14 which extend inside in the region of the support wall of the backrest 11 visible in FIGS. 1 and 2. The frame 14 of the backrest 10 is preferably made in part form casting and is especially made of an aluminum alloy or magnesium. The frame 14 may in this case be manufactured by means of a cold chamber pressure casting process or a hot chamber pressure casting process or a thixomolding process.
At one of the front or inside sides of the frame 14 of the backrest 10 of the vehicle seat is connected a padding 16, which is covered by a covering 17. At a rear or exterior side of the frame 14 is connected a headband 18. The vehicle seat according to the invention has an airbag or airbag 19, the airbag 19 being formed by an element 2943598 -4- to receive gas 20 and an inflation device 21 for the element to receive gas 20 The gas receiving member 20 may also be referred to as a gas bag or air bag, and the inflation device 21 as a gas generator.
For the purposes of the present invention, the element for receiving gas 20 is defined or delimited on the one hand by the portion 15 of the frame 14 which extends in the wall 11 of the backrest 10 of the vehicle seat according to the invention and on the other hand by a delimiting element 22 fixed to the portion 15 of the frame 14, and movable or deformable during inflation of the airbag 19.
The element for receiving gas 20 from the airbag 19 of the vehicle seat according to the invention is therefore not part of a separate airbag module, but on the contrary the element for receiving gas 20 is in part or section limited by the portion 15 of the frame 14 of the folder 10. The delimiting element 22 movable during inflation is fixedly connected to the portion 15 of the frame 14, namely according to the embodiment of Figure 1 by means of fixing elements 23, through which the delimiting element 22 is fixed directly to the frame 14, namely to the portion 15 of the frame extending in the wall of the backrest 11. This fixation of the delimiting element 22 at the portion 15 of the frame 14 can be made by clips, rivets, clinching, screwing, gluing or the like. As already explained, the portion 15 of the frame 14 delimiting in part the element for receiving gas 20 of the airbag 19 is integrated or protrudes into the bearing wall 11 of the backrest 10, or penetrates into it, and in the exemplary embodiment illustrated, the portion 15 of the frame 14 delimiting 25 in part the element for receiving gas 20 of the airbag 19 has a U-shaped cross sectional contour. Thus, the portion 15 of the frame 14 partially delimiting the element for receiving gas 20 has an outer leg 24 extending substantially forward, and an inner branch 25 also extending substantially forwardly, the outer branch 24 s extending further forward than the inner leg 25. The delimiting member 22 movable upon inflating, which delimits the member for receiving gas 20 from the airbag 19 together with the portion 15 of the frame 14, engages with the branches 24 and 25 of the portion 14 and is attached thereto.
According to another feature, the portion 15 of the frame 14 partially delimiting the gas-receiving member 20 has an L-shaped cross-sectional contour. The delimiting member 22, which is displaceable or deformable during inflation, is preferably a textile element, which can be made of a single piece or also in several parts. Advantageously, the delimiting element 22 fixed to the frame 14, displaceable during the inflation of the airbag 19, which also partially delimits the element for receiving gas 20, is produced as a deformable textile element.
According to a first mode, the delimiting element 22 fixed to the frame 14 and displaceable during the inflation of the airbag 19 is fixed directly to the frame 14. In a second embodiment, the delimiting element 22 fixed to the frame 14 and movable when inflation of the airbag 19 is fixed indirectly 20 to the frame 14 by means of a mounting element 28. According to other characteristics: - the inflation device 21, 21 'is fixed on the frame 14, namely on the portion 15 of the frame 14 partially defining the element for receiving gas 20, the inflator 21 is fixed on the frame 14 so that the inflation device 21 is positioned inside the In order to receive gas 20, the inflation device 21 'is fixed to the frame 14 so that the inflator 21' is positioned outside the element to receive gas 20. 2943598 -6 In the exemplary embodiment illustrated, the element for receiving gas 20 of the airbag 19 is deployed in the case of a collision in the direction of the arrow 26 illustrated in Figure 1, that is to say between the padding 16 and the branch 24 of the portion 15 to through an area 5 for breaking 27 of the coating 17. Figure 2 illustrates the element for receiving gas in the deployed state. In Figure 2 are further illustrated variants of the invention. Thus, in FIG. 2, the delimiting element 22 displaceable during the inflation of the airbag 19 is not fastened directly to the portion 15 of the frame 14, but indirectly indirectly through a mounting element 28. The mounting element 28 is preferably made in the form of a mounting frame, through which the delimiting element 22 displaceable or deformable during inflation of the airbag 19 is then fixed to the frame 14.
According to Figures 1 and 2, the inflation device 21 is also fixed on the portion 15 of the frame 14, namely according to Figures 1 and 2 so that the inflation device 21 is positioned inside the element for receiving gas defined by the portion 15 of the frame 14 and by the delimiting element 22.
FIG. 2 illustrates in dashed line a variant in this respect, in which the inflation device 21 'is fixed on the portion 15 of the frame 14 so that the inflation device 21' is positioned outside the element for receive gas 20 defined by the portion 15 of the frame 14 and by the delimiting element 22, the inflator 21 then introducing in this case gas or air through openings or bores in the portion 15 in the element for receiving gas 20 to deploy the airbag 19. The inflation device 21, 21 'can engage either directly or indirectly by interposing a damping element 30 with the portion 15 14. Such a damping element which is not shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 may, for example, be made of a vibration absorbing material. The present invention therefore relates to a vehicle seat in which a frame 14 of the backrest 10, namely a portion 15 of the frame 14 penetrating into the support wall 11 of the backrest 10, forms a limitation or partial delimitation of the element. to receive gas 20 from the airbag 19. At the portion 15 of the frame 14 engages a delimiting element 22 preferably made in the form of a textile element, which can be displaced or deformed when the tire is inflated. 19 and which closes a recess or a front opening of the portion 15 of the frame 14. The portion 15 of the frame 14, which limits together with the delimiting element 22 the element for receiving gas 20 of the airbag 19 is neither displaceable nor deformable during inflation. Since the element for receiving gas 20 from the airbag 19 is at least partly limited by the frame 14 of the backrest 10 of the vehicle seat, the airbag 19 is no longer a separate air bag module, independent function and construction, but on the contrary the functions of the airbag 19 are functionally and constructively integrated into the seat of the vehicle, so that the frame 14 of the backrest 10 is a constructive and functional element of the airbag 19 that is, the element for receiving gas 20 from the airbag 19. As a result, the weight and cost of a vehicle seat can be reduced. The airbag 19 is a side airbag and may be a protection of the chest and / or pelvis and / or head. As already explained, the delimiting element 22 that is displaceable during inflation is deployed in the event of a collision between the padding 16 and the branch 24 of the portion 15 in the direction of the arrow 26. In this case, the area for breaking 27 of the coating 17 is broken. Although the deployment direction illustrated in Figures 1 and 2 for the airbag 19 is preferred, another direction of deployment thereof is also possible using the invention. As already explained, Figures 1 and 2 illustrate a cross section through the backrest 10, which extends in the horizontal direction. Along the vertical extent of the backrest 10 may be made in the portion 15 of the frame 14 extending in the backrest wall 11, according to FIGS. 1 and 2, one or more recesses or front openings which are closed by the delimiting element 22 and through which the airbag 19 deploys in the case of a collision in the direction of the arrow 26 substantially forwards out of the support wall 11 of the backrest. Of course, the invention is not limited to the embodiments described and shown in the accompanying drawings. Modifications are possible, particularly from the point of view of the constitution of the various elements or by substitution of technical equivalents, without departing from the scope of protection of the invention.
