Abstract
Description
The invention relates to an air diffuser, a ventilation installation and a corresponding cleaning method. Such a broadcaster is particularly known from FR 2 916 521, in the name of the Applicant.
The ventilation of a building has the role of renewing the air of the building in order to improve the quality of the indoor air. To ensure that the air blown into the main rooms, for example the living room or bedrooms, remains healthy, it is necessary that the ducts taken by the blown air degrade the air quality as little as possible.
Despite the filtration, the ducts become dirty and it is necessary to clean them regularly. For this, a known method is to use a motorized robot, inserted into the conduit and moving in it by cleaning the inner surface of the conduit with rotating brushes. The robot is equipped with a camera and remote actuating means. The dust released by the operation of the brushes is sucked by means of a suction system. Another method is to inject compressed air into the ducts to remove the dust.
These processes are complex, expensive and poorly adapted to small diameter pipes. Small diameter ducts are used in the case of a ventilation system of the double flow type, comprising an air extraction circuit and an air blowing circuit, the extracted air possibly exchanging heat. with air blown in such a way as to minimize thermal losses. In addition, the cleaning of the ducts must be done by a professional and requires disassembly of the diffusers while the latter are usually fixed by screwing or sealed.
The invention aims to remedy these drawbacks, by proposing an air diffuser that allows easy and low-cost maintenance of a ventilation system. For this purpose, the invention relates to an air diffuser comprising a hollow plenum in which is provided at least one air inlet opening, intended to be connected to an air supply or extraction duct, a face turned towards a room of a building, equipped with means for diffusing the air coming from the plenum into said room, characterized in that said face comprises an orifice disposed substantially opposite the air inlet opening and intended for the insertion of suction means, said orifice being equipped with removable closure means.
In this way, the removable sealing means allow the suction means to access the air inlet opening if necessary, in order to perform the cleaning according to the method explained below. According to a feature of the invention, the removable closure means comprise at least one flap pivotally mounted between a closed position and an open position. According to an alternative embodiment of the invention, the removable closure means comprise at least one slidably mounted door between a closed position and an open position. According to another embodiment of the invention, the removable sealing means 15 comprise at least one diaphragm, for example an iris diaphragm. Advantageously, the diffuser comprises a nozzle mounted on the air inlet opening, designed to allow the connection between the air inlet opening and the suction means. The tip may be permanently mounted on the air inlet opening or, conversely, removably mounted thereon. According to a possibility of the invention, the air inlet opening and / or the nozzle comprise sealing means, for example an O-ring. The invention furthermore relates to a ventilation installation 25 comprising a chamber for insufflation or extraction of air connected to at least one diffuser according to the invention, by means of at least one insufflation duct or extraction of air. The invention further relates to a method of cleaning an installation according to the invention, comprising the following steps: - arranging a cleaning element, for example a wipe, in the insufflation or extraction chamber; inserting aspiration means through the removable closure means of the orifice formed in the diffuser connected to the insufflation or extraction box, facing the air inlet opening; - Aspirating the cleaning element with the suction means, so as to move said cleaning element in said insufflation or extraction duct. In any case the invention will be better understood with the aid of the description which follows with reference to the attached schematic drawing showing, by way of non-limiting examples, several embodiments of this air diffuser. Figure 1 is a schematic view, from above, of a mechanical ventilation system (VMC) type dual flow, equipping a house; Figure 2 is a schematic view of an insufflation chamber and a diffuser, connected to one another by an air blowing duct; Figure 3 is a schematic view, in vertical section, of a diffuser, in the normal operating position; Figure 4 is a top view of the diffuser of Figure 3; Figures 5 and 6 are views respectively corresponding to Figures 3 and 4, the diffuser in the suction position of the cleaning element; Figure 7 is a view corresponding to Figure 5, another embodiment of the invention. Figures 8 and 9 are diagrammatic views, in perspective, of an alternative embodiment of the invention, respectively in normal operation and in the suction position of the cleaning element. Figure 10 is a view corresponding to Figure 9, of another embodiment of the invention. FIG. 1 represents a dwelling comprising so-called main rooms 1, for example a bedroom or a living room, and so-called technical rooms 2, for example a kitchen, a bathroom or a toilet. The dwelling is equipped with a dual-flow controlled mechanical ventilation system (VMC), that is to say having an extracted circuit or air flow 3 and a circuit or flow of blown air 4, 1 extracted air and the blown air can optionally exchange heat with each other so as to limit heat losses. The corresponding heat exchanger is well known from the prior art and is not shown in the drawing. 35 The air is insufflated in the main rooms 1 and is extracted in the technical rooms 2.
It is more particularly interested in the blown air circuit 4. As is known per se and shown in Figure 2, it comprises an insufflation chamber 5, connected to one or more diffusers 6 via an insufflation duct 7.
A first embodiment of the diffuser 6 is shown in FIGS. 3 to 6. This comprises a hollow plenum 8 having, in plan view, a generally circular shape, comprising an upper wall 9, turned towards the ceiling, and a wall bottom 10, facing the room 1 to ventilate. The diffuser 6 can be housed in a false ceiling, for aesthetic reasons. The insufflation duct 7 opens into the plenum 8 at an air inlet opening 11 centered axially in the upper wall 9. The lower wall comprises deflection means 12 allowing the passage and diffusion of the air in the room. These may for example be in the form of a grid having a series of inclined blades or crowns 12 of generally frustoconical shape. Two flaps 13 are pivotally mounted on said bottom wall 10, facing one another, between a closed position (FIGS. 3 and 4) in which the flaps 13 are located in the plane of the bottom wall 10, and a open position (Figures 5 and 6) wherein the flaps 13 extend substantially perpendicular to said wall 10, within the volume 14 defined by the plenum 8. The flaps are located at the center of the lower wall, 25 so that the access allowed by the flaps is located opposite the air inlet opening. The flaps 13 thus form an opening 15 allowing the insertion of a tubular suction element 16, connected to conventional suction means 17, for example to a centralized suction system. The tubular suction element 16 can then be introduced into the plenum 8 and be connected to the corresponding end of the air blowing duct 7, via a connector 18. The fitting 18 comprises a first tubular portion inserted into the insufflation duct 7 and a second tubular portion inserted into or mounted around the suction member 16, O-rings being disposed at the junction areas between the various aforesaid elements, to ensure the sealing of said junction zones. According to one variant, the seal is made without a seal, by a precise adjustment and positioning of the various elements. According to another embodiment of the invention, represented in FIG. 7, the suction element 16 is not equipped with a nozzle and is simply positioned opposite the air inlet opening 11. An alternative embodiment of the invention is shown in Figures 7 and 8. The elements having a function similar to those described previously have been designated by the same references. In this variant, the diffuser 6 has a generally parallelepipedal shape, in which the bottom wall 10 is equipped with a single flap 13, disposed at an edge of said wall 10, hinged about an axis 19. that previously, the flap 13 is disposed opposite the air inlet opening 11 so that, in the open position (FIG. 8), said flap 13 allows access to the air blowing duct 7 and the insertion of the suction element 16. The flap 13 can be opened manually or by contact with the corresponding end of the suction element 16. Each flap 13 can be equipped with elastic return means 20 so that it returns to its closed position after release of the suction element 16. According to another embodiment of the invention shown in Figure 10, the plenum 8 has a bottom wall 21 having an opening 22 covered by the flap 13 in position f ermée. When the flap 13 is moved to the open position (FIG. 10), for example during the insertion of the suction element 16 into the opening 22, the flap 13 delimits a suction volume 23 with the bottom wall. 21 and the other walls of the plenum 8. The diameter of the opening 22 corresponds substantially to the diameter of the suction element 16 and the dimensions of the shutter 13 are adapted to the section of the plenum 8, so that the volume 23 has a certain tightness. The air inlet opening 11 and the suction element 16 open into the volume 23. In this embodiment, a plurality of insufflation conduits 7 can open into the aforesaid volume.
The operation of the invention will now be described in more detail, with reference to FIGS. 2 to 5. In order to carry out the cleaning of an insufflation duct 7, a cleaning element, for example a wipe 20 (FIG. 2) is placed in the blowing chamber 5, opposite the corresponding mouth of the conduit 7. The nozzle 18 is mounted on the free end of the suction element 16, the latter then being engaged in the plenum 8 In this step, the nozzle 18 presses the flaps 13, so as to move them from their closed position (Figures 3 and 4) to their open position (Figures 5 and 6). The nozzle 18 is then connected to the insufflation duct 7, and the suction means 17 are actuated so that the cleaning element 20 is sucked. During suction, the cleaning element 20 passes through the insufflation duct 7 and is then recovered by the suction means 17. The cleaning element 20 thus cleans the inner wall of the duct 7, efficiently and without requiring the implementation of complex means or disassembly of the diffuser 6. If necessary, other cleaning element 20 can be sucked successively, so as to refine the cleaning. The suction element 16 and the nozzle 18 are then removed, so that the flaps 13 are closed. The installation is then ready again to operate in normal mode. In the embodiment shown in FIG. 10, during the suction of the cleaning element 20, the entire volume 23 is subjected to a depression and the cleaning element 20 coming from the insufflation duct 7 passes through the volume 23 and is sucked by the suction element 16. As goes without saying, the invention is not limited to the embodiments of this diffuser, described above as examples, but on the contrary, it embraces all variants.
