The present invention relates to a device for protecting structures against repetitive shocks caused by industrial trucks, pallet trucks and other motorized or manual handling equipment.
By structure is meant here the amounts of shelves, palletizer and storage platform posts. These structural elements are constantly exposed to repetitive shocks, these shocks cause deformations and in some cases, the exceeding of the elastic limit of said amount. As a result, the mechanical strength is reduced, and the storage system can collapse, resulting in a significant risk for operators. It is very often necessary to replace the defective amounts, this operation may involve significant costs. The prior art describes the protection solutions used. Thus, document FR-A-2419385 describes the principle of a protective shoe consisting of a metal piece of rectangular vertical shape, whose base consists of two parallel bars in the shape of an L, pierced with holes, allowing their fixing by means of screws in the ground. Other documents describe complementary solutions. WO-00-63496 discloses an additional protection bar to be placed around a section H or I pole; US-A-5369925 discloses the most commonly used solution: a shaped steel plate (U, Trapezium) welded to a floor mounting plate. Finally. the document FR-A-2845703 shows an improvement consisting in joining conventional shoes with an additional profile fixed by the same ground anchors, to achieve greater protection in size. The previously known devices cited above, however, have a major disadvantage, namely the resistance to repetitive shocks. Indeed, in most companies using the usual handling means extensively: forklifts, pallet trucks and other motorized handling equipment, the resistance of the devices described above is insufficient. It follows that despite the use of such protections, it is very common to see the said protections deformed, having themselves lost their original mechanical characteristics, and in most cases, the amount to protect him - even been damaged. The need for the maintenance operation of replacing the protections as well as the defective amounts is necessary then, resulting in long and expensive work. The invention consists in very greatly improving the resistance of the protection shoes, without entailing significant production and installation costs.
