Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to an urban personal automobile vehicle, and more specifically to its front cabin.
There is an urban personal automobile vehicle of the type comprising a windshield and a structure supporting the dashboard. The purpose of the present invention is to optimize the arrangement of the front cabin of a personal motor vehicle for urban use in order to offer the driver a very good vision forward, and in particular down and on the sides. According to the invention, the bare-breeze extends downwardly beyond the upper end of the structure which is detached from the bare-breeze, and the first seat row defining the front cabin of the vehicle comprises only the Driver's seat substantially centered on the longitudinal median plane of the vehicle. Thus, by moving the dashboard away from the windshield, by lowering the lower limit of the latter, the driver can have a larger field of view, especially downwards and on the sides. This increase in the field of view is even more important that the driver is centered on the median axis of the vehicle.
Other features and advantages of the present invention will appear in the embodiment given by way of non-limiting example and illustrated by the appended drawings in which: FIG. 1 is a perspective view of three quarter before 30 and above a vehicle according to the present embodiment; Figure 2 is a longitudinal sectional view of the vehicle of Figure 1; Figure 3 is a horizontal sectional view of the vehicle of Figure 1; Figure 4 is a perspective view of the stiffening structure of the vehicle of Figure 1; and FIG. 5 is a perspective view of the inside of the forward cabin of the vehicle of FIG. 1. FIG. 1 illustrates a vehicle 1 of the closed-body body type with four wheels, which can be electrically or thermally powered ( commonly called car). This vehicle 1 is a personal urban passenger car whose interior comprises two rows of seats: a row of front seat with only seat 2 that of the driver which is substantially centered on the longitudinal median plane M of the vehicle 1, and a rear row with two seats 3 arranged on each side of the driver's seat 2 (see Figures 2 and 3). The front seat row defines the forward cabin 4 of the vehicle 1. The vehicle 1 comprises, in the forward cabin 4, a windshield 5 and a dashboard 6 which is supported by a structure 7. According to the invention , the bare-breeze 5 extends downwardly beyond the upper end of the structure 7 which is detached from the bare-breeze 5. Preferably, this detachment D is at least 30 cm, or up to at 45 cm, and the over-lowering H of the windshield 5 is at least 15 cm, or even up to 30 cm. This mutual arrangement of the windscreen 5 and the dashboard 6 (or, more precisely, of the structure 7 supporting it) makes it possible to ensure that the field of vision of the driver towards the front extends downwards according to an angle A greater than 20 ° (or up to 30 °) with respect to the horizontal. In addition, the central arrangement of the driver's seat 2 makes it possible to ensure that the field of vision of the driver towards the front is symmetrical in the transverse direction of the vehicle, and extends transversely on each side of the median plane at an angle B greater than 30 ° (or up to 35 °). As can be seen in FIG. 1, in the present example, the windshield 5 extends vertically downward beyond the body line 8 which is defined as the lower vertical limit of the side windows 9 of the vehicle and which, in this case, is also defined by the upper end of the structure 7. This increase in the field of vision especially at the bottom and on the sides is particularly interesting especially to facilitate the maneuvers, including parking, which is very common in town. It also improves the safety of pedestrians and especially small children. Furthermore, in the present embodiment, the structure 7 supporting the dashboard 6 is formed by a front transverse beam 7 which, in this case, is part of the stiffening structure 10 of the vehicle 1 and which carries the dampers before 11. More precisely, the transverse beam before 7, on the one hand, is carried on each side by a vertical front beam 12 whose lower end is fixed to the lower plane 13 of the stiffening structure 10 (the plane delimiting the floor of the passenger compartment), and, on the other hand, is fixed on each side to a first end of a longitudinal front beam 14 whose other end is fixed to a vertical master beam 15 which is also fixed, its lower end, the lower plane 13 of the stiffening structure 10. Thus, in the present embodiment, the front cabin 4 is rigidified by the front zone of the lower plane 13 of the structure of ri gidification 10, by the structure 7 supporting the dashboard 6, by the two vertical beams before 12, by the two longitudinal beams before 14 and by the two vertical girders 15.
In addition, in the present example, the rigidifying structure of the forward cabin 4 also comprises a lower roll bar 16 which extends horizontally at the lower end of the windshield 5 and which surrounds the forward cabin 4 of the vehicle. More specifically, the lower arch 16 comprises a transverse horizontal bar 17 to which is fixed the upper end of the front panel of the body and, on each side, a longitudinal horizontal bar 18 which extends from the transverse horizontal bar 17 to a vertical front bow 19. This vertical front bow 19 is disposed longitudinally at the front end of the lateral access opening 20 to the cockpit, as are the two vertical main beams 15, those -ci being arranged slightly more inside the passenger compartment and fixed to the vertical front bow 19 by their upper ends. As a result, the two vertical main beams 15 are visible in the passenger compartment of the vehicle and can serve as an aid to the entry and exit of the passengers or the driver. They can, for this purpose, include handles or other gripping members. It should be noted that the seat of the driver's seat 2 is located longitudinally at the access opening, the front end of the opening 20 being, here, slightly behind the front end of the seated. Similarly, the rigidifying structure of the forward cabin 4 also comprises an upper roll bar 21 which extends horizontally at the level of the body line 8 and which surrounds the forward cabin 4 of the vehicle. More specifically, the upper arch 21 comprises a transverse horizontal bar 22 slightly detached from the windshield 5 and, on each side, a longitudinal horizontal bar 23 which extends from the transverse horizontal bar 22 to the rollbar vertical front 19.
To complete the stiffening of the forward cabin, the stiffening structure 10 also comprises a low arch 24 which extends horizontally to a level close to the pedal and which belt the latter. This bottom hoop 24 is connected to the two vertical beams before 12. Finally, lower connecting bars 25 extend between the joining angles of the longitudinal horizontal bars 18 to the horizontal transverse bar 17 of the lower hoop 16, and the angles joining the longitudinal horizontal bars 23 to the transverse horizontal bar 22 of the upper bow 21; and upper connecting bars 26, strongly curved and interconnected by an upper transverse bar 27, extend from the aforementioned joining angles of the upper bow 21 to the upper end of the vertical front bow 19 The stiffening structure 10 also comprises two other vertical arches arranged between them and with the vertical front bow, through an upper horizontal stiffening structure (at the roof) and a lower horizontal stiffening structure (at floor level), like the structure described in the French application 0852482 of April 14, 2008. Furthermore, in the present embodiment, as illustrated in FIG. 5, the structure 7 supporting the dashboard 6 is connected to the windshield 5 by a device 28 for supporting the steering wheel 29 and the steering column 30. In order to limit the reduction of the field of view, the transverse amplitude of this In this example, in any event, this amplitude is smaller than the diameter of the steering wheel 29. Here, this device 28 also supports and dresses the central windscreen wiper mechanism 31. Finally, the arrangement of the front cabin 4 also allows for many storage. On the one hand front 6 2936485 storage units 32 which are arranged under the dashboard 6, and which extend forward to the windshield 5. These front storage units 32 extend over the entire width of the vehicle , except at the device 28 supporting the steering wheel 29 and the steering column 30. On the other hand side storage units 33 are arranged along the side walls of the body on each side of the vehicle. These side storage units 33 extend forward to the front storage compartments 32, and rearwardly beyond the forward end of the driver's seat (here, to the front end 20 of the driver's seat). access opening to the cockpit). The present invention could have other features and advantages. It would thus be possible to have a forward cabin with transverse storage, as indicated above, without the windshield 5 and the structure 7 supporting the windshield 6 being arranged as described with reference to FIG. , for example by dispensing device 28.
