Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a bowl of a culinary article, the latter being, for example, a juicer, a salad spinner or a rasp (for example, a vegetable). There is known a culinary article bowl having a bearing surface through which the bowl is adapted to bear on a work surface, the bearing surface having a non-slip elastic material seal adapted to come into contact with the surface. working by its lower surface. The seal allows to give the bowl a certain stability. However, this stability is often insufficient, especially when the user has to apply a large retaining force to the bowl opposite to the working force that he applies either to the food to be treated by a mobile tool integral with the bowl, or to the tool directly. Such a bowl is for example described in GB 589 323 in which the bowl is a drainer whose bearing surface has flow orifices all surrounded by the seal. The lower surface of the seal is delimited by two annular protuberances, the free end of each of the protuberances having a large contact surface with the working surface. Thus, following pressure exerted on the bowl to the work surface, the seal acts as a suction cup and thus prevents the water that has flowed through the outlets from spreading over the entire work surface. The stability imparted to the bowl by this suction cup seal is not ergonomic since the user must apply a large force both to achieve this effect and to release the bowl and move it. The present invention therefore aims to achieve a bowl whose stability is increased without loss of ergonomics, and material cost identical to the known bowls. According to the invention, the lower surface of the seal is delimited radially by two lips, the free end of each of the lips being shaped so as to have a linear contact with the working surface.
Thus, during a movement of the bowl on the worktop, each lip is bent, which hinders this movement. In addition, the limitation of the contact surface makes it possible to prevent the seal from having a suction effect.
Other features of the present invention will appear in the description of an embodiment given by way of non-limiting example and illustrated by the appended drawings in which: FIG. 1 is a schematic sectional view of a bowl According to the present invention, subjected to a displacement force along a working surface; Figure 2 is a schematic sectional view of a seal used in the bowl of Figure 1, the seal being unconstrained; Figure 3 is a view similar to Figure 2 with the seal being stressed corresponding to the movement of the bowl; and Figure 4 is an enlarged view of the lower portion of the seal of Figure 2 without constraint. The invention relates to a bowl 1 of a culinary article, for example the bowl for receiving the juices of a juicer, the bowl for receiving the vegetable elements of a rasp, the bowl in which is mounted so rotating a salad basket of a salad spinner. The bowl 1 comprises a container 2 and a seal 3 made of a non-slip elastic material (here, a silicone). In the present embodiment, the container 2 comprises a horizontal bottom wall 4 at the periphery of which is a side wall 5. The outer surface 6 of the bottom wall 4 forms the bearing surface 6 by which the bowl 1 can bear on a working surface 7. The bearing surface 6 carries the seal 3 which is adapted to come into contact with the working surface 7 by its lower surface 8. In this case, the bearing surface 6 comprises a groove 9 in which the seal 3 is housed stably (here, in force).
In the present embodiment, the seal 3 is a ring. The lower surface 8 of the seal 3 is delimited by two lips 10, 11: when the seal 3 is disposed in the groove 9, one of the two lips is outside the torus thus formed, the other 11 is at the inside. The free end 12 of each lip 10, 11 is shaped so as to have only a linear contact with the working surface 7. Preferably, in order to make this linear contact, the free end 12 of each lip 10, 11 has a radius of curvature whose value is between 1 and 2 millimeters. Furthermore, the lower surface 8 of the seal 3 also comprises an annular groove 13 which separates the two lips from one another. Thus, when the bowl 1 is subjected to a lateral movement, the two lips 10, 11 of the seal 3 are braced, resulting in increased discomfort against any involuntary movement of the bowl and thus the improvement of its stability. More specifically, and as shown in Figure 1, the outer lip 10 is arched in the angular portion of the seal 3 which is at the head of the movement of movement, and the lower lip 11 is arched in the angular portion opposite to that above (thus in the angular portion at the tail of the movement of displacement). In order to improve the simultaneous bracing effect of the two lips 10, 11, in the present embodiment, each lip 10, 11 is oriented so as to deviate from the vertical center line 14 of the gasket for moving up and down. Furthermore, to facilitate the establishment of the seal 3 in the groove 9, especially if these two elements are configured so as to easily remove and replace the seal 3, the latter has an upper surface 15, opposite to its lower surface 8, identical to this one. As a result, the seal 3 can be put in place without regard to its orientation. In addition, if the height of the joint is close to its width, it is preferable that its lateral surfaces 16, 17 are also identical to the bottom 8 and upper surfaces 15. In addition, if the height of the joint is close to its width, it is preferable to that its side surfaces 16, 17 are also identical to the lower 8 and upper 15 surfaces. The present invention is not limited to the present embodiment. It is thus possible that the seal is not a closed ring, but a band (flexible) to be housed in the groove.
