Abstract

The console (12) has controlling units constituted of an air conditioning control (18), an auto radio (20) and a window regulator or seat or mirror positioning control (22). A gate (32) is rotatably moved around a rotation axis (34) to pass from a closed position, in which the gate is arranged vertically, to an open position in which the gate is inclined to give free access to a storage case (36) in a form of a trough arranged behind the gate. La présente invention concerne une console centrale de véhicule automobile comprenant une zone de rangement derrière un élément de commande du confort d'un passager. En particulier, l'élément de commande est une commande de climatisation. Les véhicules automobiles sont des espaces à vivre offrant de plus en plus de confort à leurs passagers. Pour commander les fonctions liées au confort des passagers, la planche de bord supporte plusieurs écrans d'affichage et tableaux de commande de différents dispositifs électriques ou mécaniques tels qu'un autoradio, un dispositif d'aération et de climatisation, un lève-vitre ou un dispositif de positionnement des rétroviseurs ou des sièges. Ces moyens de commande d'organes fonctionnels du véhicule sont souvent disposés les uns au dessus des autres au niveau de la partie centrale de la planche de bord. ETAT DE LA TECHNIQUE ANTERIEURE Etant donné le nombre important de tels dispositifs à commander, l'espace de la planche de bord dédié au rangement est de plus en plus réduit. Pour remédier à cet inconvénient, il est connu, notamment par le document JP-A-6 087 387, une boîte à gants comprenant un logement et un portillon de fermeture de ce logement. Le bord inférieur du portillon est articulé par une charnière au rebord inférieur du logement, et une façade de commande d'un autoradio est fixée sur la face du portillon en vis-à-vis de l'habitacle. Ainsi, la surface occupée par cette boîte à gants sur la planche de bord, procure à la fois un espace de rangement et un espace de commande d'un autoradio. Toutefois, lorsque le portillon de boîte à gants est en position d'ouverture, l'occupant du véhicule ne peut plus atteindre la façade de commande de l'autoradio et ne peux pas manipuler les commandes se trouvant en dessous de celui-ci. Par ailleurs, lorsque le portillon est ouvert, des objets rangés à l'intérieur peuvent tomber si le véhicule est en cours de déplacement. Enfin, les objets se trouvant dans la boite de rangement ne sont pas visibles lorsque le portillon est ouvert puisque la boite de rangement est insérée dans la planche de bord. L'invention atteint son but grâce à une console centrale d'une planche de bord comprenant des moyens de commande d'un organe fonctionnel d'un véhicule automobile et un portillon muni d'une partie de ces moyens de commande, ledit portillon étant mobile en rotation autour d'un axe sensiblement horizontal et transversal apte à passer d'une position fermée dans laquelle le portillon est disposé sensiblement verticalement à une position ouverte dans lequel le portillon est sensiblement incliné de manière à libérer un espace de rangement aménagé derrière ledit portillon caractérisée en ce que le portillon comprenant des moyens de commande est disposé dans la moitié supérieure de la console, l'axe de rotation étant positionné dans la moitié inférieure de la console centrale. Ainsi, avec la console centrale selon l'invention, un utilisateur pourra utiliser les moyens de commande se trouvant sur la façade mobile même lorsque le portillon est ouvert, ces derniers restant accessibles, pourra utiliser les moyens de commande se trouvant sous ledit portillon mobile.
