Sur cette figure 1, le pignon d'entraînement 10, apte à coopérer avec une chaîne d'entraînement (non représentée) est monté sue le nez 2 du vilebrequin 3, à l'intérieur d'un carter 6 de distribution. Afin d'assurer la transmission d'un couple nécessaire entre le vilebrequin 3 et le pignon menant 10, le pignon 10 est monté serré contre un épaulement 11 du vilebrequin 3 au moyen d'une vis 12. La vis 12, montée serrée dans un trou taraudé 13 ménagé dans le nez 2 du vilebrequin 3, maintient serrés une entretoise de serrage 13, un support 4 de poulie 1 d'accessoire, le pignon 10 et le vilebrequin 3. Afin d'atténuer les vibrations transmises au vilebrequin 3, une pièce intermédiaire 5 relie la poulie d'accessoire 1 à son support 4. Cette pièce intermédiaire est classiquement un amortisseur en matière plastique ou caoutchouteuse qui filtre les vibrations. Cette conception présente toutefois des inconvénients majeurs. En effet, un tel amortisseur en caoutchouc ne permet pas de connaître et de dimensionner les efforts en jeu pour optimiser l'amortissement. Par ailleurs, le caoutchouc lui-même constituant le corps principal de l'amortisseur ne permet pas de déterminer la durée de vie de cet organe et la période de remplacement en après-vente. Selon d'autres caractéristiques de l'invention - le ressort est à lame métallique ; - la lame métallique est de forme torique et de section en forme de courbe de Gauss orientée vers l'extérieur du vilebrequin ; - le ressort comporte deux lames métalliques adjacentes ; et - chaque lame métallique est de forme torique et de section en forme de demi courbe de Gauss orientée vers l'extérieur du vilebrequin.
