Abstract

L'invention concerne un dispositif d'entraînement auxiliaire pour véhicule automobile à moteur thermique, le moteur thermique entraînant le véhicule par l'intermédiaire d'un organe de transmission à différentiel de mouvement actionnant au moins deux roues distantes du véhicule, la ou les autres roues du véhicule demeurant libre(s), caractérisé en ce qu'il comporte un ensemble auxiliaire d'entraînement (5) constitué d'une source d'énergie (9), d'un moyen moteur d'entraînement (11) et d'un organe de transmission (13) relié à ladite ou auxdites roue(s) libre(s) (3), susceptible d'entraîner le véhicule à faible puissance et selon un mode de propulsion n'émettant pas de gaz d'échappement nocifs, et une unité de commande (7) reliée audit ensemble auxiliaire d'entraînement et à la commande du moteur thermique du véhicule automobile, en sorte que ce dernier puisse être entraîné par le moteur thermique et/ou ledit ensemble auxiliaire d'entraînement (5) selon les conditions de fonctionnement du véhicule, et notamment par ledit ensemble auxiliaire d'entraînement (5) en centre-ville, ladite ou lesdites roues libres (3) comportant en outre une couronne (15, 33) formée vers l'intérieur de la roue (3) et de grand diamètre, en prise de mouvement avec le moyen moteur d'entraînement (11) selon un rapport de réduction de mouvement élevé.
