Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a method and a device for anchoring an object on a building terrace. The roof terraces of buildings are often equipped with various accessory objects, for example ventilation or air conditioning units, electrical cabinets, television antennas and, more recently, radio communication antennas. The development of mobile telephony requires, in fact, the installation of a large number of transmitting or receiving antennas at relatively high places and, in particular, on flat roofs of tall buildings. These materials must be anchored to the deck slab, especially in the case of masts which are subjected to the action of the wind and the weight of the antennas carried by the mast. Such masts may be subject, at their base, a support plate which is sealed on the slab of the terrace, after removal of the sealing complex usually covering this slab. The mast can also be connected by a hinge to a concrete plate or stud and held by tensioned stays and each fixed to an anchor pad. It is also possible to install and fix the materials on a prefabricated or cast-in-place concrete slab, but this requires bringing such a prefabricated slab or all the materials, cement, aggregates and reinforcement onto the terrace, to pour it on the spot. This slab can be simply placed on the terrace without removing the sealed complex but it may then be punched on the edges of the slab, which requires a repair of the seal.
Such methods of anchoring on a terrace of various accessories or materials have various disadvantages. First of all, it is necessary to call upon various trades, masons for the laying of the slabs or studs and their sealing, and
2 Locksmiths or other specialists for laying masts and other equipment. But above all, the sealing in a concrete slab of an object such as a slab, a plate, a concrete or metal stud, always requires drilling into the slab of holes to drive rods or dowels then sealed to resin or mechanically. The terrace of a building, for reasons of insulation, is sometimes made of a floor having hollow parts, slabs, insulators or others and it is not possible to make seals. On the other hand, even in the case of a solid concrete floor, it sometimes incorporates pipes or electric heating resistors from the ceiling. We can therefore take the risk of deterioration of such networks during the drilling of sealing holes and must therefore identify their position before the intervention, for example by thermography, which increases the intervention time and moreover , requires the operation of the heating.
The invention avoids such disadvantages with a new method, particularly simple and inexpensive, anchoring an object on a terrace. According to the invention, the object to be fixed on the terrace, for example an antenna support mast or an anchor pad, is fixed on a rigid plate having a flat lower face, which is applied and glued on the face upper floor of the terrace, by means of an adhesive distributed over at least several bonding areas between the plate and a corresponding surface of the floor.
In a first embodiment, the rigid plate itself constitutes a lower face of the object to be fixed on the terrace. In particular, in the case of an antenna support mast, it may be fixed at its base on a plate which may constitute the anchor plate.
In another embodiment, the rigid patina is first glued to the deck and the object to be fixed is provided at its base with a flat plate which is applied and fixed to the deck, for example by bolting.
The object to be fixed, if it is of sufficient size, can also be provided, at its base, several anchoring parts flat bottom face, each fixed on a plate glued to the terrace. Usually, the terrace is covered with a sealing complex. This is then removed, at the desired location, on a surface corresponding to that of the plate, which is cleaned to allow the bonding of the plate. Other advantageous features of the invention will appear in the following description of some embodiments, given by way of non-limiting examples and shown in the accompanying drawings. Figures 1, 2, 3, 4 show schematically the successive steps of fixing a mast on a terrace; Figure 5 schematically shows the attachment of a metal stud. FIG. 1 diagrammatically shows, in cross-section, a terrace portion comprising a slab (1) made of reinforced concrete, whose upper face (10) is covered with a sealing complex (2) comprising, for example an insulating layer (21) coated with a bituminous coating (22). This sealing complex (2) is first removed from the desired place (20) to discover the upper face (10) of the concrete slab (1) on a surface (11) slightly greater than that of a plate (3) made of metal, for example steel. This surface (11) is well cleaned and, preferably, pickled so as to remove the cement slurry covering the upper face (10), to reveal the internal structure of the concrete. In the meantime, a platen (3) consisting of a steel plate having at least one plane underside (31) and provided with fastening means, eg, orifices, has been prepared in advance.
4 (32) threaded internally or in another embodiment of the threaded rods. As shown in Figure 2, an adhesive (4) is then spread on the etched surface (11) of the slab (1) and on the underside (31) of the plate (3). Depending on the nature of the adhesive (4), it may form a continuous layer or be divided into spaced bonding areas (41) distributed over the surfaces to be bonded. The plate (3) is then applied, possibly under pressure, on the surface (11) of the slab (1) -figure 3-. After having waited for the time necessary to set and harden the adhesive (4), the object to be anchored (5) is placed fixed on the plate (3) in the manner indicated in FIG. embodiment shown in Figure (4), the object to be anchored on the terrace is an antenna support mast having an elongate shaft (50) having a lower end (51) rigidly attached to a base plate (52), so as to constitute a recess. After sticking the plate (3), the mast (50) is erected vertically so as to apply the flat lower face (53) of the base plate (52) on the flat upper face (33) of the plate (3) and the assembly is secured, for example by a plurality of bolts (54) passing through corresponding holes in the base plate (52) and screwed into the threaded bores (32) of the plate (3). Where appropriate, washers (55), possibly of the Belleville washer type or fork wedges, can be inserted around each bolt (54) so as to adjust the horizontality of the base plate (52), this is at say the verticality of the mast 50 by modifying the thicknesses of said washers (55) or fork wedges. The portion (20) of the sealing complex (2) that was removed can then be restored by covering the base plate (52) with an insulator (21 ') which is itself covered with a waterproof layer (22 ') extended above the edges of the initial layer (22) and along the base of the mast (50), to the desired height. The dimensions of the base plate (52) and the plate (3) are determined so as to ensure sufficient embedment of the mast (5) without unduly increasing the surface (20) of the sealing complex (2) to be removed. . Studies and trials have shown that the use of adhesives that have come on the market quite recently, particularly for bonding metal to concrete, has ensured that the base of the mast is sufficient to withstand the rollover effects due to at the height of the antennas and their weight, taking into account the action of the wind calculated according to the rules in force. As an adhesive product capable of ensuring resistance to overturning, mention may be made, for example, of EPONAL 280 (registered trademark) provided by BOSTIK or of SIKADUR 30 COLLE (registered trademark) provided by SIKA. Thus, despite its great simplicity of implementation and its low cost, the method according to the invention solves all the problems described above for the anchoring of an antenna support mast or any other equipment installed on a terrace. It allows, indeed, to avoid any sealing in the slab of the terrace and, thus, any risk of deterioration of the pipes, resistances or network of fluid embedded in the concrete. It can be implemented in any season. For the same reason, it can be applied to a floor having hollow parts since it is sufficient that the upper face is strong enough to maintain the base of the mast or equipment equipment placed on the terrace. The advantages provided by the equipment by the invention are therefore very important. However, the invention is not limited to the single embodiment which has just been described, but covers on the contrary all variants remaining in the same protective frame, in particular by the use of equivalent means.
6 For example, it is more advantageous to first glue on the slab an anchor plate and then fix on it the base of the mast because, thus, we can wait for the taking of the adhesive. One could, however, stick directly on the slab the base plate of the mast which, then, itself constitutes the anchor plate. On the other hand, the invention has been described for the fixing of a mast but the same method would make it possible to fix any other accessory object, for example a metal or concrete anchor, which is simply provided with a flat bottom face that can be applied to the plate after bonding thereof. One could also fix in this way any other material, even of large enough size, such as electrical cabinet, air conditioner group, advertising sign, etc. This material would then be provided with at least two anchoring parts that can each be fixed on a seating surface formed on a stud itself fixed on a plate glued to the slab. Figure 5, for example, shows such a seating surface (6) provided at the upper end of a metal pad (56) fixed to a base plate (52). As before, it is fixed by bolts (54) on a plate (3) adhered to the upper face (10) of the slab (1). The assembly is covered with an insulator (21 ') and a coating (22') so as to restore the continuity of the sealing complex (2). Such a stud could also serve as a seat for a support articulation of a mast, an anchor point of a holding tie, a fulcrum for a platform or any other metal frame. It is also possible to glue directly to the slab the base plate of the stud, which then itself constitutes the anchor plate.
