Abstract
Description
FAITAGE VENTILE POUR TOITUREVENTILATED FACADE FOR ROOF
The invention relates to the technical sector roofing roofs and in particular so-called ventilated factories, that is to say, allowing ventilation for the preservation of the framework and construction in general.
The concept of ventilated wells is well known per se for zinc blankets in its different implementations depending on the application conditions, either in double slope form, or in single slope form, or in single slope form on front wall.
Various techniques exist implemented by many manufacturers and, for the good understanding of the invention and its interest, there is shown in Figures 1 to 4, an example of the prior art and which implements in the same principle for the three aforementioned applications, a particular solution described in French Patent No. 2,654,138.
In Figures 1 and 2, the ventilated storey is double slope. It has thus been represented by (1) two opposite chevrons forming part of the structure of the farm constituting the framework. The chevrons that are positioned at an angle are arranged with battens (la) arranged from the top edge of the chevron, but leaving a space between them. These flaps serve as a supporting plane and fixing to a hollow core (3) or hat profile with ends (3a) for attachment to the flights. This core has substantially a trapezoidal configuration with an upper base (3b) horizontal, and it is arranged with hooks (3c) arranged at regular intervals and fixed by riveting or equivalent. Ventilation openings are also arranged along the upper part of this core to allow aeration. This core is fixedly positioned and then capable of receiving, laterally, a profiled base (4) forming a cap and being turned or alternatively this base shape fits on the lateral sides of the hollow core and is extended by sections (4a) along the flights to allow, in known manner, the flow of rainwater. The ridge (5) or covering element is then positioned along the assembly thus formed being held by stainless steel hooks using the flexibility of the material constituting the ridge. There is therefore a snap of the entire ridge along the ventilated hollow core. This assembly (5th) found in its principle, for ventilated ridge simple slope, or on front wall, as it appears in Figures 3 and 4.
It can thus be understood that, for the roofer, the laying operation remains impractical and complex to implement with the succession of latching operations of the ridge. Ventilation is assured but access to ventilation openings is extremely delicate. It is necessary, moreover, to use a large number of components to ensure the desired function, namely a hollow core, fixing hooks, the roof ridge and the rainwater discharge tank or bins formed either in hats, arranged on either side of the hollow soul. The manufacture of the hollow core is, moreover, complex to achieve with the implementation and positioning of the different hooks.
The applicant has therefore sought, from this particular prior art, another solution which is, for the professional roofer, more practical to implement, simpler design, and which, moreover, offers opportunities for intervention in the roofer for the control of ventilation zones.
These and other goals will be apparent from the rest of the description.
According to a first characteristic of the invention, the ventilated ridge is remarkable in that it consists of a U-shaped or semi-U-shaped structure, with an apparent primary profile forming a cover and an internal reinforcing secondary section, this structure being applied and fixed on a U-shaped or half-U profile body, of smaller dimensions, having at least one wall provided with ventilation apertures and lying in a plane parallel or substantially parallel to the walls in view of the structure, leaving an important space for ventilation and access to the ventilation openings, and in that the end or ends of said body is or are attached to the trenches of the frame.
These and other characteristics will be apparent from the rest of the description.

In order to make the object of the invention more concrete, it is now described in a nonlimiting manner in the figures of the drawings. The ventilated ridge according to the invention is referenced as a whole by (10). It comprises in the three cases of implementation, double slope, single slope, single-slope against wall, an identical structure in U or half U, bi-material, with an apparent primary profile (10a) forming cover made in particular of zinc and an internal secondary reinforcing section (10b) made of sheet metal, for example. This structure thus defines a horizontal bottom portion (10c) and comprises one or two branches (10d) oriented downwards defining the volume of the structure, depending on the applications concerned. The lower end of the primary section (10a) forming a cover has an inner fold (10e) oriented angularly. The secondary section is introduced into the volume thus defined by the primary section and fits by sliding, latching or otherwise, using the elasticity given by the inverted U or half-U shape of two profiles. As a variant, and after suitable positioning, fixing zones may be envisaged by welding or otherwise.
This structure, as described, is pre-assembled before in-situ pause on the site considered. This structure is applied and be fixed on a profiled body (11) in U or half U, depending on the applications and smaller dimensions. Fixing takes place on the horizontal bottom planes (10c 11a) by welding, riveting, gluing or other. The body (11) is made of galvanized material offering any guarantee against the environment. It thus has a configuration U or half U with one or walls (1lb) parallel or substantially parallel to the walls or walls of the structure (10) defining a large chamber (Cl) inside them. The wall or walls (1 l b) are arranged in their upper part near the bottom of the body with openings (11c) aeration. As shown in the drawings, and in an advantageous embodiment, said openings have a mouth configuration along one or more parallel horizontal air lines. The wall or walls (11b) are extended at their ends by tabs (1ld) which are fixed by studding (12) to the other at the joists (13) of the frame secured to the rafters (14), or any other appropriate area in function construction.
Referring now to each of the three applications illustrated in FIGS. 5, 6 and 7, the following details are given.
Figure 5, the double slope ventilated ridge, according to the invention is perfectly centered on the body (11). It may be provided the fixing of bins (not shown) for the flow of rainwater from the or walls of said body by extending in a known manner to the stairs. In a specific implementation, we have given some dimensions that make it possible to highlight the interest of the invention: - dl: height of the body: 130 mm - d2: width of the body, in horizontal plane, bottom: 40 mm - d3: width of the structure in horizontal plane: 110 mm - d4: height of the walls (10c) of the structure: 80 mm.
This is a possible implementation without limitation.
We therefore remember the importance of the volume of the internal chamber (Cl) between the walls of the structure and the body, allowing a good ventilation, a wide accessibility for the maintenance .. The height of the walls (10c) largely protects the openings aeration from the chamber (C2) defined by the body itself and allowing the flow of air from the farm and construction.
Referring now to Figure 6 a single-slope ventilated ridge, reported and fixed with respect to a rim board (16), for example, the structure (10) is identical U-design but is fixed by fastening means (17) with an offset, and the wall on the inner side may be of lesser height.
Referring now to Figure 7 of a single-slope ventilated ridge against wall (18), the structure (10) and the body (11) have a half U configuration, and have a vertical extension (10f 11e) at end of their horizontal bottom portion being fixed by a connecting means (20) against the wall. A sealing means (21) provides protection against possible water flows.
Referring now to Figure 8, there is illustrated an example of the attachment of the structure (10) to the body (11). There are thus riders (22) profiles U or L made of any material, galvanized or not, which are fixed on the horizontal plane (Il a) of the body by their bottom face (22a). The connection is made by spot welding (23) or otherwise. The width of the jumpers and their vertical branches (22b) are such that they allow in positioning the support and fixing of the structure (10) which is thus adjusted and fixed in any appropriate manner.
Thus, according to the representation of FIG. 8, it is conceivable that several jumpers (22) can be arranged along the body (11) with the positioning of several structural elements (10) which are then placed end to end, with optional seal, or also having a structure (10) of length cut to cover at one time the length of the body (11) with a bottom face (22a) for attachment to the body (11) and branches (22b) fitting internally in the structure. It depends on the achievements. U-shaped jumpers (22) are usable for the first two applications of the invention, in double slope or single slope ventilated ridge. For the third application, in single-slope ventilated ridge against a wall, the rider is L-shaped with a horizontal fixing face on the body (11) and a branch fitting internally in the structure (10). In this implementation, the installation of the ridge is very fast and easy for the roofer.
The invention provides many advantages in simplification of manufacture with simple shapes, an easy to implement, without the use of complementary means of the hook type, as reported by the prior art. In addition, the access to the ventilation openings is wide, easy by the dimensional relationships that have been given by way of example.
The bond between the components (10a-10b) of the structure (10) can be made in any suitable manner.
