Abstract

The case has a tubular envelope (E) with four main panels, where the panel (4) has a display window (F) to display product. The panel (5) presents an extension to define an inner structure forming a cell (A) to receive the product, where the cell is open with respect to ends of the envelope. The third panel has a front panel (30) to temporarily close the window. A locking band (60) has a tab engaging in locking slot in the panel (4).

Description

The present invention relates to the technical field of packaging and it

  more particularly, the packaging cases which are intended to package products of unitary nature, either by themselves, or by a pre-conditioning imposed on them.

  More specifically, the invention relates to packaging cases which are made from a pre-cut raw material blank and then folded to form the actual packaging.

  As a preferred application, the invention relates to packaging cases made from a carton blank, preferably compact, without this precision excluding corrugated cardboard or similar products, such as plastic sheets, laminated or not.

  In the technical field above, it is widely known to produce a packaging package of a unitary product from a blank of suitable raw material, cut flat, then mounted to form a case in which a unitary product must be conditioned. The invention relates, more particularly, to packaging forming a box, that is to say to packages comprising a generally parallelepiped-shaped body open on top to define a cell for receiving the product, this cell being closed by a folding panel hinged on the body of the case. Such packaging boxes generally give satisfaction with regard to their function of packaging and attractive presentation of the product or products they contain. However, such packaging boxes have the disadvantage of not allowing a filling on an automated or semi-automatic chain but, on the contrary, to require a manual introduction of the packaged products inside the cell before closing the folding panel.

  The invention aims to overcome this disadvantage by proposing a new type of case that can provide a box-type presentation, while allowing automatic or semi-automatic formatting of the case, as well as setting up automatic product on a filling and packaging line.

  In order to achieve this objective, the invention relates to a packaging case for a packaged unit product, made from a pre-cut and folded blank comprising: a tubular envelope which comprises four main panels intended to form a body holster, and at least one closure panel of one end of the tubular casing, E and an internal cushioning structure, formed by an extension of a main panel, which is foldable, counter-fixable and includes strips, articulated by fold lines, parallel to those of the main panels and which defines a U-shaped receptacle and wedge cell for the product placed in the case, this cell being open opposite a main panel and the end of the case closed by the closing panel.

  According to the invention this case is characterized in that: the extension forming the internal blocking structure is connected to the fourth main panel by a connecting strip which is counter-fixed on the first main panel, the U-shaped cell is opened in look at the fourth main panel.

  Such an embodiment of the packaging case according to the invention makes it possible, on the one hand, to obtain a case whose volume can be made automatically on a suitable assembly line and, on the other hand , to dispose in the case of a receiving cell of a particularly resistant product. It should be noted that, in a preferred embodiment, the case according to the invention will have a closure panel at each of the two ends of the tubular envelope and the "U" cell will then be open facing each of the two ends of the tubular casing, allowing the introduction of the product to be conditioned by one or other of the ends.

  According to a feature of the invention, the fourth main panel comprises an open viewing window facing the U-shaped cell.

  In the context of this feature of the invention and in a preferred but not strictly necessary embodiment of the invention: the viewing window is adapted to allow extraction of the product out of the case, and the first panel main door panel hinged and foldable against the fourth main panel.

  Such an embodiment of the packaging case according to the invention has the advantage of allowing the product to be packaged in the cell to be put in place by the opening of the tubular envelope provided with the closure panel for, after closing said panel, allow extraction of the product through the window in the fourth main panel, the hinged facade panel temporarily closing the viewing window and extraction. Thus, the case according to the invention has, for its end-user, a casing aspect allowing optimum development of the packaged product, while for its primary user, it is used as a conventional case allowing an introduction of the product to be conditioned by one end of the tubular casing.

  According to a feature of the invention, the facade panel comprises a window which is arranged opposite the viewing and extraction window of the fourth main panel and which is closed by a translucent or transparent screen. This advantageous feature of the invention thus allows a visualization of the contents of the case, even though the front panel is folded against the fourth main panel and closes the viewing window and extraction.

  According to the invention, the facade panel can be held in the folded position against the fourth main panel by any appropriate means, such as, for example, a strip of adhesive tape. According to a feature, preferred but not strictly necessary of the invention, the front panel comprises, opposite the first main panel, a hinged locking tab foldable against the third main panel. Such an articulated locking strip can then be, for example, covered on its inner face with a repositionable adhesive allowing repeated opening and closing of the facade panel.

  According to a feature of the invention, the locking strip comprises at least one locking tab, intended to engage in a locking slot arranged in the third main panel, to maintain the front panel in the folded position against the fourth main panel. This feature of the invention allows, also, repeated openings and closures of the facade panel.

  According to another characteristic of the invention, the locking strip is fixed against the third main panel, at at least one zone of lower detachable resistance, arranged in the third main panel. This advantageous characteristic of the invention then makes it possible to highlight a first opening of the case, so as to guarantee the end user of the case the integrity of its contents.

In a preferred embodiment, each extension of a closure panel comprises, from the corresponding closure panel, a locking flap connected to the hinged closure flap which comprises, opposite the locking flap, a strip of laminated fastening on a main panel.

  According to another characteristic of the invention, in order to ensure perfect immobilization of the closure panels in the closed position of the case and to prevent any inadvertent opening, each locking flap comprises, opposite the corresponding closure panel, two locking edges and the case comprises, at each end, two locking flaps which each have an edge for forming a stop surface for the corresponding edge of the locking flap, in the closed position of the closure panel corresponding.

  According to a preferred embodiment of the invention, each closure panel is hinged to the fourth main panel and each fastening strip is laminated to the fourth main panel.

  According to a feature of the invention and in order to perfect the aesthetic appearance of the cell seen from the viewing window, each closure flush flush an edge of the viewing window of the fourth main panel.

  The invention also relates to a pre-cut blank for the production of a packaging case according to the invention, as mentioned above.   Furthermore, various other features of the invention will emerge from the description below made with reference to the accompanying drawings which illustrate a preferred but non-limiting embodiment of a packaging case according to the invention and a blank precut for obtaining such a case.

  The packaging case, as shown in a semi-formed state in FIG. 1, is obtained from a blank pre-cut flat, as shown in FIG. 2. Such a blank can be made from compact cardboard, corrugated cardboard or even sheets of plastic, the nature of the constituent material not being characteristic of the invention.

  The blank, designated as a whole by the reference 1, comprises four articulated main panels 2, 3, 4 and 5, which are intended to define a tubular envelope E of parallelepipedal general shape, as it appears in FIG. 1. This tubular envelope E is intended to constitute a case body, that is to say, within the meaning of the concept of packaging, a container.

  Fig. 2 shows that the main panels 2, 3, 4 and 5 extend after each other being delimited each with respect to the following through a fold line 6, 7 and 8 which are parallel between they are perpendicular to the alignment of the main panels. It should be noted that the fold lines appear in FIG. 2 in dashed lines, while the solid lines represent cut lines.

  Conventionally, the fourth main panel 5 is bordered, beyond folding lines 9 and 10, parallel to each other and perpendicular to the fold line 8, respectively, of a top closure panel 11 and a closure panel 12. These panels 11 and 12 have in plan a shape corresponding to the section of the tubular envelope E, in this case rectangular and are each provided, beyond a fold line 13 or 14, a lock flap 15 or 16.

  Although this is not to be considered essential for the invention, the first main panel 2 and the third main panel 4 disposed on either side of the second main panel 3 are each provided, beyond a line 17 or 18, a top locking flap 19 and 20 extending in the same direction as the top closure panel 11. Similarly, the hinged panels 3 and 5 have, opposite the locking flaps 19 and 20, lower latches respectively 21 and 22 extending beyond fold lines 23 and 24 in the same direction as the bottom closure panel 12.

  Each locking flap then comprises, opposite the corresponding closure panel, two locking edges 26 and 27 which are each defined by a rectilinear cut formed in the locking flap and parallel to the fold line separating the panel locking flap. corresponding closure. In a complementary manner, each of the locking flaps 19, 20, 21, 22 comprises an edge 28 intended to form a stop surface for the corresponding locking edge of the locking flap in the closed position of the corresponding closure panel.

  According to an essential characteristic of the invention, the first main panel 2 comprises, opposite the second main panel 3, a front panel 30 from which it is separated by a fold line 31 parallel to the fold lines 6, 7, 8. As will become apparent later, the facade panel 30 is intended to be folded against the fourth main panel 5 thanks to the joint made by the fold line 31. According to the illustrated example, the front panel 30 presents a shape and dimensions substantially similar to that of the fourth main panel 5.

  According to one characteristic of the invention, the third main panel 4 comprises a window F for viewing the contents of the case. According to the illustrated example, the viewing window F has a shape homothetic to that of the fourth main panel 5 having dimensions smaller than those of the latter, so that the edges of the window F are all at a distance from the edges of the main panel 5 being parallel to them.

  According to another essential characteristic of the invention, the fourth or last panel 5 has an extension, designated as a whole by the reference 35, and intended to define, by folding and counterfixing, an internal structure forming a receiving cell A and cushioning for a product placed in the case, as will appear later.

  As is more particularly apparent from FIG. 2 and in a flat state of the blank 1, the extension 35 extends, from the fourth main panel 5, substantially in alignment with the main panels 2, 3, 4 and 5 for forming the case body E The extension 35 comprises, firstly, a connecting strip 36 which is connected to the fourth main panel 5 by a fold line 37 parallel to the line 8 separating the panel 5 from the adjacent panel 4. The connecting strip 36 is intended, during the mounting of the case, as will be apparent from the following, to provide a connecting surface with the first main panel 2, such a connection can intervene in several different ways and preferably , by gluing.

  The extension 35 also comprises a series of six articulated bands 41 to 46 which extend from the connecting strip 26 being delimited by six fold lines 51 to 56, parallel to the folding line 37 as well as at the fold lines 6, 7 and 8 separating the main panels. The end band 46 is further extended beyond a fold line 57 parallel to the line 56 by an attachment band 58.

  The fourth 44, fifth 45 and sixth 46 articulated strips of the extension 35 are intended to define, with regard to the bands 44 and 46, the side walls of the cell and, with regard to the band 45, the bottom of the A cell which has a U-shaped cross section as shown in FIG. 3. The third hinged band 43 and the fastening strip 58 are intended to be counter-fitted on the inner face of the fourth main panel 5, while the first band 41 is intended to be placed in the holster parallel to the second and fourth panels key. For this purpose, the widths 142, 144, 46 of the second, fourth and sixth articulated strips are substantially equal to each other, these widths being measured between the fold lines delimiting said articulated strips.

  To obtain the packaging case according to the invention from the blank described above, it suffices, in a series of assembly operations given by way of example, to proceed with the formation of the fold lines 51 to 58 and 37, so as to fold the strips 41 to 46 and 58 to first fix by any appropriate means the fifth band 45 on the inner face of the first hinged band 41, then fix the third hinged band 43 and the fixing strip 58 on the inner face of the fourth main panel 5, as shown in FIGS. 1 and 3. It should be noted that, to give the cell A its U-shape, these assembly operations involve a folding lines 55 is 56 which could be described as against folding, as opposed to the folding direction of the lines 51 to 54 and 57.

  At this stage, the internal cushioning structure is completely formed. The mounting of the case then continues by forming the fold lines 8, 7, and 6, so as to allow against-fixing the outer face of the binding strip 36 on the inner face of the first main panel 2 .

  An additional step then involves a marking of the fold line 31, so as to fold the front panel 30 against the fourth main panel 5. It is possible to maintain the front panel 30 in this folded state against the fourth main panel 5 by different means. According to the illustrated example, this maintenance is ensured by the implementation of an articulated locking strip 60 which extends the folding panel 30, opposite the first main panel 2, being separated from the folding panel 30 by a line bending 61 parallel to the fold line 31. The hinged latching band 60 is then glued to the outer face of the third main panel 4 at two weak areas 62 which can be made in any suitable manner and which, according to the illustrated example, are delimited by two closed cut lines made half-way in the material constituting the blank 1.

  In this semi-mounted state, it must be considered that the hinged strips 44, 45, 46 define the receiving and locking cavity A which has a shape substantially U-shaped towards the viewing window F which is also located adapted and dimensioned to allow extraction of the contents of the cell A. In order to facilitate this extraction, the window F is then dimensioned so as to be open on the whole of the cell A. The fold lines 54 and 57 are are then located each at a longitudinal edge of the window F, as shown in Figs. 1 and 3, so that the side walls, defined by the hinged strips 44 is 46, are flush with the corresponding edges of the viewing and extraction window F. It should be noted that in the semi-mounted state reached at this stage of the shaping of the case, the general design of the case allows to place it in a flattened state by simply pressing on the front panel 30 and the second main panel 3. This advantageous feature of the invention provides a reduced storage volume before implementation of the case.

  The pre-assembly or assembly operations, described above, can be carried out by hand or, conversely, on an automatic assembly machine.

  The shaping of the case can then involve what could be considered as a penultimate step of folding down the bottom locking flaps 21 and 22 to the inside of the case and then closing the bottom closure panel 12.

  The case is then able to receive a unitary product, pre-conditioned or not, such as a bottle, a tube, a container or a box of any product. In a preferred embodiment, the case according to the invention is intended for the packaging of a tube T of a cosmetic or hygiene product, having a general shape that could be called a carton, with a flattened filling end and , opposite this end, a mouth of the product contained in the tube, closed by a removable cap. The tube T is symbolized in phantom in FIG. 1.

  To allow a perfect immobilization of the tube in the cell A U of the case, the side walls 44 is 46 of the cell each have a window 63 for receiving the flattened end of the tube. As shown particularly in FIG. 2 each window 63 is arranged near the high ends of the fourth and sixth hinged strips, having a generally V-shaped whose convergent end is oriented towards the lower end of the corresponding hinged strip.

  The introduction of the tube T inside the cell A can then be performed by the upper end of the case by introducing, automatically. the tube T in the cell, the flattened end of the tube then naturally engages in the two side windows 63.

  Finally, the shaping of the case is completed by closing the top closure panel 11 after folding the top locking flaps 19 and 20.

  When an end user wishes to access the tube T packaged inside the case, it can proceed to the opening of the folding panel 30 locally tearing the areas of lower resistance 62, so as to detach the band of locks 60 of the third main panel 4 and allow to raise the folding panel 30, which frees access to the window F and allows extraction of the tube T. Thus, the case according to the invention is presented to the end user, as a cabinet offering a particularly easy grip of the tube T. According to a preferred embodiment of the invention, to allow immobilization of the folding panel 30 in the closed position of the window F, after a first opening and tearing areas of lower resistance 62, the locking strip 60 comprises a tab 64 which is intended to engage in a locking slot 65, arranged in the third panel p 4. Thus, it is possible to open and close the folding panel 30 at will.

  According to a feature of the invention, to allow a preview of the contents of the cell A before opening the folding panel 30, it comprises a window 66 arranged opposite the viewing and extraction window F. The window 66 is further closed by a translucent or transparent screen 67 bonded to the inner face of the folding panel 30.

  According to a preferred embodiment of the invention, to ensure perfect protection of the contents of the cell A and perfect the aesthetic appearance of the case when opening the folding panel 30, the closure panels 11 and 12 are associated with closure means of the ends of the cell. Thus, each closure panel 11 and 12 comprises a folding and counter-fixing extension, generally designated by the reference 70. Each extension 70 comprises the locking flap 15, 16 which, opposite the corresponding closure panel, an articulated flap 71 for closing the corresponding end of the cell A, as will appear below. The flap 71 is separated from the locking flap 15, 16 by a fold line 72, parallel to the fold line 13, 14 separating the locking flap from the closure panel 11, 12. The hinged flap 71 further comprises opposite the locking flap, an attachment strip 73 from which it is separated by a fold line 74 parallel to the fold line 72. When mounting the case, each fastener strip 73 is then laminated on the internal face of the fourth main panel 5, each fold line 74 being placed at the edge of the viewing window closest to the corresponding closure panel. Thus, during the closure of each of the panels 11, 12 the corresponding flap 71 closes, automatically, the corresponding end of the cell A. Each flap 71 is then flush, as shown in FIG. 4, the corresponding edge of the viewing window F, thus conferring a perfect parallelepipedal shape to the cell A. Of course, the invention is not limited to the example described and shown and various modifications can be made to the described above without departing from the scope of the invention.

  Thus, FIG. 5 illustrates an embodiment of the case according to which the latter does not have a folding panel on the fourth main panel. The case thus produced may for example be used as a drawer inside a tubular sheath. This case is also obtained from a pre-cut blank as illustrated in FIG. 6 on which the references adopted in relation to FIG. 2 have been preserved for the elements common to the cases illustrated in FIGS. 1 and 5.

  Similarly, FIG. 7 illustrates an embodiment of the case that the latter has no folding panel or viewing window at the fourth main panel 5. This case is also obtained from a pre-cut blank as shown in FIG. fig. 8 on which the references adopted in relation to FIG. 2 have been preserved for the elements common to the cases illustrated in FIGS. 1 and 7.
