Abstract

The scissors have a plastic body with guards (1, 2) which, respectively protects upper and lower blades, where the guards have an opening of 5 millimeters or less, at the front. The guards are cut at about 1 centimeter at the intersection (4) of the two blades, and extend towards the blades until a pivot (5). The guard (2) is blocked with a lug (3) which is held on a small slit made on the lower blade.

Description

The present invention relates to a protection system for preventing a

  young child to cut himself with a pair of scissors.

  There are plastic scissors for children but they do not allow to cut cardboard or several sheets of paper at the same time, more must be forced on the scissors which can hurt the fingers.

  The device according to the invention improves this disadvantage. It comprises in fact according to a first feature, a plastic part by which is placed a pair of traditional steel scissors, indeed the part where the blades are protected by a plastic cover opened by its middle by a slot of 5 millimeters in front of the tip of the scissors and 3 millimeters in the back so that the child can not put his fingers between the blades or cut himself when he holds a sheet of paper.

  According to particular embodiments: - on the plastic part a drawing can be printed representing a fish for example can be added fins at the bottom of the scissors to make them stand on a table.

  The accompanying drawings illustrate the invention: Figure 1 shows in section, the right side chisel held in the right hand. Figure 2 shows in section, the left side chisel held with the left hand. Figure 3 is a sectional view of the pair of fish-shaped chisels.

  With reference to these drawings, the device comprises a plastic body (1) and (2) which protects the blades of the scissors, the part 1 of Figure 1 is plastic, it is rounded and thin at its end. It hides and protects the first blade or blade from the top.

  The protection (1) of hard plastic is cut to about 1 centimeter at crosses of the two blades (4) to allow the sheet to go up so as not to interfere with cutting.

-3-CLAIMS   1) Device for cutting with a traditional pair of scissors paper and cardboard without it cut for young children in which is represented a cover (1) and (2) where are placed the blades of the scissors.   2) Device according to claim 1 characterized in that the upper blade (1) is protected by a plastic cover rounded at its end and tapered, the rear having an opening of about 1 cm allowing the recovery of the paper when cutting.   3) Device according to claim 1 characterized in that the bottom blade (2) is protected by a plastic cover rounded at its end and tapered (2), being provided with an opening of about 1 cm allowing the descent of the paper during cutting, that the blade in question is blocked by a lug (3), and blocked at the back by the pivot of the scissors.   4) Device according to claim 1 characterized in that the protection of the bottom blade can be provided with feet (6) to place the object on any horizontal support.
