cans, for drawing corks from bottles and for removing crown capsfrom bottles.
A further object of the invention is to provide a device of the character above stated which will be inexpensive in the cost of manufacture, light in weight, but strong and durable.
With these ends in View this invention consists in the details of construction and combination of elements hereinafter set forth and then specifically designated bythe claim.
In order that those skilled in the art to which this invention appertains, may understand how to make and use the same, I will describe its construction in detail, referring by numeral to the accompanying drawing forming a part of this specification, in which- Figure 1, is a plan view of my improved combination kitchen tool, a portion thereof being broken away to clearly illustrate the construction.

Fig. 4, is an enlarged section at the line 4 4 of Fig. 1; and
Fig. 5, is a section at the line 5-5 of Fig. 1.
In carrying out my invention as here embodied 2 represents a metallic strip or member being bent at right angles adjacent one end to form the extension 3 and one portion of the rear end 4 of the frame, it being again bent at right angles to form one of the sides 5 projecting in the opposite direction in the extension 3, again bent at right angles to form the front end member 6 running parallel with the portion 4, again bent at right angles to form the side member 7 parallel with the side member 5, again bent at right angles to produce the other rear end portion 8 parallel With the front end member 6 and in line with the other rear end portion 4, and again bent 'at right angles where it meets the extension 3 to form one of the members or portions 9 of the handle 10, then bent to produce a loop 11 which forms the outer end of the handle, being then bent and carried forwardly parallel with the handle portion or member 9 to produce the other handle portion or member 12, the end of this portion overlapping the extension 3.
The handle portion or members 9 and 12 are oppositely bent out or bulged outward as at 13 intermediate its ends and adjacent the frame to form a cork screw container or shield to prevent the point of the cork screw from coming in contact with the hand of the user.
Just beyond or forward of the hinged portions 13 the. handle portions or members 12 are indented to form a pair of oppositely disposed teats 14 which form a bearing and project into the eye 15 of the cork screw 16, said cork screw when inoperative lying between the bulged portions 13.
17 denotes the resilient adjusting strip or means having a plurality of spaced holes 18 and having extensions at one end at right angles to the main portion, which when bent over the handle 10 adjacent the frame forms a supporting collar 19 for said resilient adjusting strip, and this is held in place by a rivet 20 or its equivalent which passes through the overlapping ends of the eXtensions, that portion of one of the extensions on the opposite side of the handle and through the extension 3, and the portions or members 9 and 12 of the handle, thereby securing the resilient adjusting means to the handle and the parts of the frame and handle together.
The cutter strip 21 has its ends bent over to form eyes 22, whereby said cutter strip is slidably mounted upon the side members 5 and 7 of the frame and said cutter strip is held in its different adjusted positions by the integral projection 23 formed from said strip, and which registers with the holes 18, said cutter strip being adjusted by springing the resilient adjusting members 17 therefrom, and then sliding said cutter strip to the position desired.
The integral projection 23 is formed from one edge of the cutter strip, and from the opposite edge thereof is produced the blade or cutter 24 which projects upwardly therefrom at right angles thereto.
A fulcrum pin Q5 is secured to the inside of the front member 6 of the frame by a rivet 26 or its equivalent in alinement with the cutter, a portion of said pin projecting upwardly above the edge of the frame as at 27, while the sharpened portion thereof projects forwardly at right angles as at 28.
To use the device as a can opener the cutter strip 2l is adjusted to the position desired, after which the fulcrum pin 25 is inserted in the center of the top of the can and the blade 24 forced through the top of the can adjacent the edge thereof. Then by drawing the device around the can about the fulcrum 25, the blade 2st will cut the top, after which it may be bent outward.
The fulcrum pin 25 also acts as a milk bottle paper cap remover, this being accomplished by piercing the cap with the fulcrum pin and drawing upward thereon.
From the center of the outer portion of the loop 11 is formed a projection or tongue 29 integral with the lower edge and this is adapted to engage the underside of a crown cap, whereby said crown cap may be removed by forcing downward on thehandle of the device, since the outermost portions of the loop 1l have fulcrmns which rest upon the top of the crown cap.
The lower edge of the front end member G of the frame is serrated as at 30, thereby forming a fish scaler which when drawn over a fish will readily and quickly remove the scales therefrom.
From this description it will be seen that I have produced an exceedingly simple and inexpensive tool which may be put to a great many uses and of course it is to be understood that I do not hold myself to only the uses hereindescribed.
Of course I do not wish to be limited to the exact details of construction as herein shown, as these may be varied within the limits of the appended claim without departing from the spirit of my invention.
Having thus fully described my invention, what I claim as new and useful, is-
In a device of the character stated, a frame and handle made from a single piece of material, a fulcrum pin carried by the frame, a cutter strip slidably mounted upon the frame and a tongue carried by the handle and projecting forwardly therefrom and coacting with a portion of the cutter strip to hold the same in its adjusted position.
