Abstract

Pocket nail clippers of the type with two branches and a lever, equipped, on the one hand, with a reservoir located behind the blades which has the characteristic of being open in the rest position of the nail clippers and closed in the compression position and equipped, on the other hand, with blades including a return at their ends, these improvements permitting recovery (collection) of the pieces of cut nail in the reservoir regardless of the manner in which one cuts one's nails and easy emptying out of the pieces of nail simply by tilting the nail clippers on their side.

 DESCRIPTION.

 The present invention relates to a pocket nail clipper, of the type with two branches and a lever, which has the advantage of recovering the pieces of cut nails.

 In this area, the present depositor has already deposited a patent dated April 3, 1991 under the number 9104152.

 The nail clippers currently on the market have the disadvantage of dispersing by projection the pieces of cut nails. By adapting a tank, we can, in part, recover the pieces of cut nails, and if in addition, we modify the shape of the blades, we can then recover all the cut pieces, regardless of how we use the cutter nail.

The reservoir, located behind the blades, has the distinction of being open from the top, and becomes closed when it is covered by the upper branch of the nail clipper when it is in the compression position, i.e. at the precise moment where a piece of nail is
chopped off.

 One possible embodiment is shown in Figures 1 and 2.

In Figure 5, we begin to cut the nail, and we see that, thanks to the blade return, the notched part goes between completely detached. In Figure 6, we see the piece cut in Figure 5 retained in the tank, as well as the second piece that we cut. If the blades had no return, it is easily understood that the notched part in FIG. 5 would remain attached to the rest of the nail and would only have come off on the next cut, falling next to the reservoir. In FIG. 7, the pieces cut in FIG. 5 and 6 are retained in the reservoir, and a third cut is made. In Figure 8, the three cut pieces are in the tank and the nail is completely cut.

 When the nails are cut, it remains only to empty the nail clipper in a chosen place, by leaning it on the cavé.
