Sandwich panel with insulating core comprising a honeycomb structure.
The present invention relates to a sandwich panel with an insulating core comprising a honeycomb structure.
There are known, for example from document EP-0.354.149, sandwich type panels comprising a core of rigid plastic foam and, from document FR-2.633.965, composite panels comprising a honeycomb core , the core of these panels being disposed between two rigid facings to which it is assembled by laminating, these facings being constituted by lacquered steel or aluminum plates, in certain building applications.
Such panels are commonly used in particular in the field of light construction, for example for making covers of verandas, terraces, roofs, galleries, gazebos, kiosks, etc., or for the realization of various surfaces such as insulating bodies of vehicles transport of goods, insulating partitions of professional premises, special ceilings, advertising or signaling surfaces and others.
These composite panels are advantageously applicable to the production of surfaces or walls intended to fulfill various functions exposing them to sunshine, runoff and impact noise from various sources (hail, rain, etc.), these surfaces being able to be placed horizontally, more or less inclined, or upright vertically; they can be carried or freestanding.
The qualities required by installers or buyers, for these panels, depend on their applications, but in the field of light construction, these materials are generally expected to be robust, rigid, light, easily adaptable to the configuration desired by simple cutting by means of a light material, good thermal insulators and good phonic insulators, and of advantageous costs.
The present invention proposes to make available to manufacturers and users, a sandwich panel with insulating honeycomb core combining all of the above qualities expected from such materials, to an optimized degree compared to the products currently offered. on the market.
The invention consists of a composite panel of the type comprising two rigid skins or facings and a core comprising a honeycomb honeycomb structure disposed between these two facings, this composite panel being notably remarkable in that the latter is constituted by a honeycomb honeycomb structure made of cardboard.
According to another important characteristic arrangement of the invention, the cells of the honeycomb honeycomb structure are filled with an insulating material provided with good thermal and acoustic insulation qualities, for example constituted by microbeads of expanded polystyrene, or in expanded polyurethane, or in rock or glass fiber.
According to an interesting embodiment, a layer of an acoustic insulator is interposed between the exterior metal facing and the honeycomb honeycomb structure.
The aims, characteristics and advantages above, and others still, will emerge more clearly from the description which follows and from the appended drawings in which: FIG. 1 is a sectional view of a first example of execution of the panel according to the invention. 'invention. Figure 2 is a sectional view of a second embodiment of the invention. Figure 3 is a sectional view of a third embodiment of the invention. Figure 4 is a sectional view of a fourth embodiment of the invention.
Reference is made to said drawings to describe examples of interesting, but in no way limiting, constitution of the sandwich panel according to the invention.
Considering the application of the invention to the field of light construction, in the following description, the term "exterior facing" designates the facing which is outside the building when the panel is installed in the functional position, while the term "interior facing" means the facing arranged inside the building.
The composite panel according to the invention is of the type comprising two rigid or semi-rigid skins or facings 1 and 2 and an insulating core 3 disposed between these facings and made integral with the latter by gluing, preferably by means of a structural adhesive. .
The exterior rigid facing 1 and the interior rigid facing 2 are preferably formed by metal sheets or plates (steel, aluminum or other) lacquered or covered with any other coating of a nature and color suitable for the purpose of the panel. They can however be made of any other suitable rigid material such as polyester, polyvinyl chloride (PVC), epoxy fabric or the like.
The external rigid facing 1 is, for example, constituted by a sheet or plate of steel pre-coated in the oven, while the internal facing 2, is, for example, constituted by a sheet or plate of aluminum pre-coated in the oven.
According to a characteristic arrangement of the invention, the honeycomb core 3 of the panel is constituted by a layer or plate of honeycomb material 4 made of cardboard (FIG. 1) made integral with the internal face of the exterior 1 and interior facings 2 by gluing, preferably using a structural adhesive. This cardboard honeycomb layer 4 has, for example, a thickness of the order of 10 mm to 200 mm. In this example, the cells 4a of the honeycomb 4 extend over the entire thickness of the core 3.
According to another important characteristic arrangement of the invention, the cells 4a of the honeycomb honeycomb structure are filled with a material 5 endowed with good qualities of thermal and acoustic insulation (FIG. 2). This insulating filling material 5 can be produced in the form of beads or microbeads, or in the form of powder, or in the form of wool of insulating material. It is, for example, constituted by beads or microbeads of expanded polystyrene, or expanded polyurethane, or by mineral wool, or by rock wool, or by glass wool. Advantageously, the filling material 5 is compacted inside the cells 4a of the honeycomb, in order to obtain perfect flatness.
According to another advantageous embodiment, a layer 6 of a material provided with good qualities of acoustic insulation is placed between the external facing 1 and the honeycomb honeycomb structure 4 (FIG. 3). This acoustic insulator 6 can be constituted by a polyurethane foam having, for example, a thickness of the order of 3 mm to 6 mm.
It can be glued against the internal face of the outer facing 1 and against the surfaces arranged opposite the honeycomb honeycomb structure 4, preferably by means of a structural adhesive.
According to the embodiment illustrated in FIG. 4, the external facing 1 of the panel is constituted by a rigid composite plate comprising a metal sheet 1A whose external face is covered with a film or layer of impact absorbing material 1 B .
The external rigid facing 1 is, for example, constituted by a steel sheet 1A having a thickness of the order of 400 microm and the external surface of which is covered with a film or layer of flexible poly (vinyl chloride) or Flexible PVC 1 B, which may have a thickness of between 200 Microm and 2000 Microm and, for example, a thickness of the order of 850 Microm.
This shock absorbing coating 1 B can be produced in a very wide range of colors, according to the wishes of the customers.
Thanks to this arrangement, the vibrations of the exterior facing of the panels under the effect of impacts of various origins or noise pollution (trepidation) from the environment, are, if not totally eliminated, at least greatly attenuated, so that the the sound insulation qualities of said panels are very significantly improved.
The longitudinal edges of the composite insulating panels according to the invention can be provided with edge profiles having the function of ensuring sealing between the adjoining panels. On the other hand, the transverse ends of the panels can be provided with a profile-closure having grooves in which are embedded the transverse edges of said panels, this closure profile being, for example, made of rigid polyvinyl chloride (PVC). .
