Abstract

The holder for window boxes to windows has a flat profile (1) on its visible face and grooves on its rear face. The profile can be cut to a required length for fitting to the window opening. There is a slide fitting on each end of the profile (9) which locates to the profile by locking using screws (5). The slide fittings allow the profile to be screwed to the window surround when the correct adjustment is found.

Description

The present invention relates to a device to be positioned inside

  of a window frame to prevent the fall of the window boxes placed on the windowsill and to hide the window box. Usually, the planters arranged on the windows often have their unattractive visible tray and risk falling due to improper handling. There are fixing bars of a complex assembly that can play this role, but their main use is to serve as a hook for a planter that is available outside, while our device allows to keep the planter in the inside the window frame without interfering

  the closing of roller or casement shutters.

  The device of the invention comprises a profile which is cut to the width of the window or to a greater width if it is to be placed at

outside of the doorway.

  1 5 This profile has a flat face which can possibly serve as a decoration support and a grooved face. It is this profile that keeps the planter on the windowsill. At each end of the profile, a piece is slid. This invisible part on the flat side, can slide in the notches of the grooved face

  interior. This piece is used to fix the profile in the window frame.

  The combination of the possibility of cutting the profile to the desired length and the ability of the fasteners to slide in the profile make the

  device adaptable to all window widths.

  On each of these sliding parts, clamping screws make it possible to securely fix the sliding parts to the desired position on the profile. This sliding part is provided with two threaded orifices whose axis is parallel to the length of the profile. In this hole we introduce a screw. By screwing it, the rotation causes it to come out through the other end of the orifice then to come to rest against the walls of the window frame without drilling the wall. This operation being carried out on each side of the profile, the latter is securely fixed. The attached drawings illustrate the invention: FIG. 1 represents the profile.   FIG. 7 shows the device placed outside the doorway -2 With reference to these drawings, the device comprises a profile (1). This profile is cut to the desired length. It consists of a flat front face (1) and a rear face having a groove at the top and a groove

bottom (2).

  This rear face and these grooves are intended to receive the fixing parts (9). These parts are introduced into the grooves (2) of the profile (1) at

each end of the profile.

  This monobloc piece has two notches (3) intended to receive the

profile folds.

  At these notches, on the top and bottom lug, there is a tapped hole (4) into which a screw (5) is introduced. When tightening, this screw will be applied against the fold (6) of the profile. The fixing part (9) will thus be fixed

on the profile (1).

  In the threaded holes (7) a screw (8) is introduced. When tightening this screw will pass through the orifice (7) and come to bear against the wall of the window recess without drilling the wall. The pointed shape of the end of the screw (8) and the pressure exerted by the tightening at both ends of the profile fix

  securely the profile at the window opening.

  The lateral spacing between the orifice (7) and the notch (3) is such that it allows a layout of the profile with overflow outside the doorway

window (fig 7).

  The device thus installed is particularly intended to prevent the fall of the window boxes placed on the windowsills, To hide the unsightly containers of the window boxes To serve as a decoration support It is easy to mount and adaptable to all window dimensions -3

  1) Device fixed through the opening of a window to prevent the fall of the window boxes arranged on the window sill, characterized by a section (1) sectionable to the desired length in which two fixing pieces (9) slide , parts, locked in the desired position by simple tightening of screws   (5) .and fixing made to the window frame by simply tightening screws (8).   2) Device according to claim 1 characterized in that it comprises a flat face of sufficient length to hide the character   - generally unsightly for planter boxes.   4) Device according to claim 1 characterized in that it has a lateral spacing between the orifice (7) and the notch (3) to allow a 1 5 arrangement of the profile with overflow outside of the embrasure the window
