 The present invention relates to a device for storing skis or similar objects.

 Ski lockers are generally known which allow the skis to be stored vertically. However, these lockers have drawbacks when it is desired to store wide skis such as snowboards.

The present invention relates to a device for storing skis or similar objects, more particularly suitable for horizontally storing wide skis such as snowboards.
The device for storing skis or similar objects according to the invention comprises uprights distant from each other and a multiplicity of shelves placed above and at a distance from each other and extending in front of said uprights, each shelf comprising branches passing laterally to said uprights, between these uprights, respectively outside, and the end portions of which are coupled and cooperate with means for supporting these uprights.

 According to the invention, said branches are preferably, laterally, elastically deformable and that their end portions are elastically coupled and cooperate with said support means of said uprights.

 According to the invention, said support means preferably determine respectively two support points offset along the end portions of said branches, including a front support point and a rear support point acting respectively below and at above said branches.

 According to the invention, said support means preferably comprise tabs in which engage, laterally, said branches.

 The ski storage device 1 shown in the figures comprises a base 2 on which are fixed the lower ends of two tubular uprights 3. These uprights 3 have

 respectively of the transverse internal faces 5 opposite which extend parallel.

 The upper ends of the uprights are connected by a spacer crosspiece 2a.

 The storage device 1 further comprises a multiplicity of shelves 7 which extend in front of the uprights 3 and which are placed at a distance one above the other in a regular manner.

 Each shelf is formed by a rigid wire 8 folded in the shape of a C or open hanger, so as to present a central branch 9 and opposite branches 10 which extend in the same plane.

 The central branch 9 extends longitudinally, parallel to the plane of the uprights 3 and in front of these uprights, this central branch 9 being longer than their spacing.

 The opposite branches 10 are slightly folded towards one another and have end portions 11 slightly folded, in the other direction, so as to extend parallel to each other and against the inner faces 5 of amounts 3.

 The end parts 11 of the opposite branches 10 have end parts 12 curved opposite one another and engaged in orifices 13 formed in the rear part of the transverse faces 5 of the uprights 3.

 In the front part of the transverse faces 5 of the uprights 3 are formed cutouts 14 folded outwardly so as to constitute tabs 15 open upwards in which are engaged, laterally from top to bottom, the end parts 11, at a distance from the parts d end 12.

 To set up a shelf 7, we proceed as follows.

 We take a wire 8, we resiliently bring its end parts 11 by deforming it, we engage its end parts between the uprights 3 until bringing its end parts 12 opposite the orifices 13 of the amounts 3, we release the wire 8 so that its end parts 12 engage in the holes 13 of the uprights 3 taking care to place the end parts 11 above the

 cleats 15, then the wire 8 is lowered by rotating it in the orifices 13 of the uprights 3 so as to engage its end portions 11 in the cleats 15.

 The shelf 7 is then able to support loads owing to the fact that it is held by the support points formed at the rear by the orifices 13 and at the front by the catches 15 of the uprights 3.

 The tabs 15 of the uprights 3 are offset downward relative to their orifices 13 so that the shelf 7 is tilted forward.

 So that a ski 16 placed horizontally on the shelf 7 can remain there, the front central part 9 of the wire 8 carries from above and at a distance an additional stop wire 17 whose ends are welded to this front central part 9 .

 Of course, the uprights 3 comprise a multiplicity of orifices 13 and cleats 15 formed, preferably regularly, on their heights so as to be able to receive the multiplicity of shelves 7 desired.

 The present invention is not limited to the example described above. In particular, the end portions of the wires 8 constituting the shelves 7 could be coupled to external and parallel faces of the uprights 3, opposite to the faces 5 of the example described. Many other alternative embodiments are possible without departing from the scope defined by the appended claims.

Claims (9)

1. Device for storing skis or similar objects, characterized in that it comprises - uprights (3) distant from each other, - and a multiplicity of shelves (7) placed above and at distance from each other and extending in front of said uprights, each shelf (7) comprising branches (10) passing laterally to said uprights, between these uprights, respectively outside, and of which the end portions (11) are coupled and cooperate with support means (13,15) of these amounts.  2. Device according to claim 1, characterized in that said branches (10) are, laterally, elastically deformable and that their end portions (11) are elastically coupled and cooperate with said support means of said uprights.  3. Device according to one of claims 1 and 2, characterized in that said support means (13,15) respectively determine two support points offset along the end portions (11) of said branches, including one point front support (15) and a rear support point (13) acting respectively below and above said branches.  4. Device according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the said support means comprise cleats (15) in which engage, laterally, the said branches (11).  5. Device according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the ends (12) of said branches (11) are curved and engaged elastically in receiving orifices (13) of said uprights (3) and that these uprights have cleats (15) open upwards, in which engage, from top to bottom and laterally, said branches, at a distance from their curved ends (12).  6. Device according to claim 7, characterized in that each wire (8) extends in a plane inclined towards the front and that its front part (9) comprises a part (17) projecting upwards, ski restraint.  9. Device according to claim 8, characterized in that said projecting part is formed by a complementary wire (17) whose ends are fixed to said front part (9).
