Abstract

The skewer holder consists of two identical discs (1, 2) fitted on a central spit so they can be moved along it and fixed in the required position according to the length of the skewers (3). The edges of the discs have a series of apertures with radial inlet slots (5) to receive the skewers, each aperture having curved sides (10) and a pointed or rounded tip (19) which allows the skewer to turn but prevents it escaping through the slot as the disc rotates.
