Abstract

The ski storage compartment comprises a support frame composed of a base plate (14) and side frames (20,22) to form a rigid structure. A lower retaining element (30) comprises an inverted V steel sheet (40) symmetrically arranged on the base plate. Each side inclined surface (42,44) has an end basin (46,48) for positioning the heels of the skis. An intermediate support is formed on each side by a tube (32,34) parallel to the corresponding dish and by a stop (54,56) on a height adjustable crosspiece (36,38). The tube and the stop are located either side the horizontal median plane (PH). This allows the reaction of the lower ends of the skis to be exerted on the internal surface of the tube and on the sheet metal inclined surfaces at the same time and provide automatic locking of the ski heels in the dish and the resilient return of the upper part of the skis against the support stop.
