Abstract

The operation of heavy transport vehicles makes use of overhead electrical lines (4) along one lane of motorways. The vehicles have, in addition to their normal diesel engine, an electric drive, which is powered through railway-style overhead pantographs (2) running on the overhead lines and mounted on the tractor or the trailer unit.

Description

<U>DESCRIPTION</U> Pour résoudre le probleme actuel de pollution et de sécurité,qui est posé par les transports routiers,(ex:la traversée des vallées et des tunnels alpins,ou l'engorgement des autoroutes),la plupart des experts,ont opté pour la solution du ferroutage(camions transportés par train). Cependant le chargement et le déchargement par roulage de ces véhicules lourds,s'avére peu pratique,parcequé avec l'utilisatio des vagons actuels,il ne peu se faire,que de l'arrière vers l'avant du train(voir metode Suisse),et véicule par véicule...avec lenteur,mais aussi avec des problèmes,lors du passage d'un vagon a l'autre. De plus le tassement des véhicules vers 1.'avant,oblige chaque camion,a parcourir le train dans toute sa longueur. Un inconvénient majeur ressort,lorsqué un véhicule de milieu de train,pose problème(cas d'incendie).
