Abstract

A base part (3) of a tap (1) has an externally peripheral housing (6) with an open mouth into which penetrates, at least slightly, an externally peripheral flange (7) on a rotary handle (2). A limiting member (5), arranged on the collar (7), can slide in the direction and away from the latter. Said member (5) is movable to a first position in which its toothing meshes in a toothing (8) of the flange (7), and to a second position in which the engagement of engagement is eliminated.

DESCRIPTION

  ADJUSTING DEVICE FOR RADIATOR TAP

  The present invention relates to a device for

  setting for a radiator valve, especially a ro-

  thermostatic bathtub, comprising two parts which can rotate with respect to each other about an axis, i.e.

  a revolving handle and a base part, as well as a

  rotation angle limiting mechanism which includes a stop

  fixed on the non-rotating base part, and at least one or-

  limitation gane which can be stopped in different po-

positions on the revolving handle.

  An adjustment device of the type concerned is known from patent application DE-A1-30 28 658. The base part has, in this case, orifices distributed around the periphery and in which limiting plates can be fitted . A stop is provided inside the rotary handle, so that said handle can only be rotated until said

  stop strikes one of the limiting plates.

  Normally two limiting plates are provided which limit the angle of rotation to a low value and to a

  high value, in agreement with the temperature scale

  The object is to provide an adjustment device of the type mentioned, which can be positioned precisely by means of a simple structural arrangement, and in which

  a radial opening slot is avoided.

  In accordance with the invention, in order to achieve this object, it is proposed that the basic part has a housing

  externally peripheral with open mouth, in the-

  which a flange of the revolving handle, externally peripheral, penetrates at least slightly so that no interstice, directed radially, is formed between the edge of the mouth of the housing and the free end of the flange; and that the limiting member is arranged, on the flange of the rotary handle, with limited axial sliding in the direction of said flange and away from the latter, said limiting member being movable towards a first position in which it penetrates , by a toothing, in a toothing of the flange, and being movable to a second position in which the grip is removed between the teeth of said member and of said flange.

The formation of a radially open gap is thus avoided.   Using a frame 9, the limiting member 5 passes through a slot axially directed between the flange 7 and a branch 10 radially outside of the housing 6; and it protrudes, by a lug 11 fulfilling the function of an index, beyond the marginal edge of said outer branch 10. The lug 11 materializes a gripping element in view

  of the axial displacement of the member 5. In the first posi-

  tion (engagement position), said lug is applied against the extreme edge of the branch 10 which is oriented axially. The member 5 is substantially U-shaped in

  the embodiment, one of the branches of the configu-

  respondent. As revealed in particular by an observation of the

  In the embodiment according to Figures 1 and 1o 2, for technical production reasons (the rotary handle 2 and the base part 3 are preferably made of plastic), the toothing 8 is provided
