Timepiece (1) comprising a box (2, 3) bearing a rotating bezel (4), means for displaying the time (9, 7), and a time setting mechanism of which a time-setting rod (13), integrally housed inside said box and capable of being displaced between at least a first axial position and a second axial time-setting position, means for link (24, 28, 21, 17) capable of allowing the establishment of a kinematic connection between said rotating bezel and said time-setting rod so that a rotation of said rotating bezel causes a rotation of said rod time setting, characterized in that it further comprises an external control lever (35), pivotally mounted on said box and, of which an end portion (50) is capable of being displaced between at least a first position and a second position, setting time, and a control mechanism (45, 60, 70, 80) arranged to act on said time-setting rod and move it from one axial position to the other, in response to an action exerted on said control lever causing a displacement of said end portion between one position and the other, to allow actuation of said mechanism for setting the time by rotation of said rotating bezel.
