Abstract

PORTABLE ASHTRAY

  The present invention relates to an ashtray

  individual or collective for smokers.

  Ashtrays are generally known, and in particular portable ashtrays. By way of example, French patent FR2737089 describes a portable ashtray in the shape of a rectangular box fixed on a clip used to collect cigarette butts. The invention relates to a small box with a lid inside which it is possible to put out a cigarette butt and store it. This box is attached to a clip which will allow it to be worn on a belt or

other media.

  Another French patent published under the number FR2626443 relates to a disposable ashtray provided with a cover making it possible to suppress the combustion of a cigarette butt in the receptacle, as well as to transport the ashtray

in a pocket of a garment.

  Another French patent FR2506571 relates to an individual portable ashtray, consisting of a main body comprising an ash box, a cover making it possible to empty the ashtray, and an orifice formed in a plate to allow the introduction of a lit cigarette. The hole is provided. of internal elements arranged to retain a cigarette in the inserted position

  partially in the ash box.

  The object of the invention is to provide a portable ashtray conditioned to allow a first use after activation, and then a reuse

repeated.

  consisting of a cylindrical skirt (1) of plastic material closed at its lower part by a bottom (2) sealed on the skirt (1). The bottom (2) is formed by a metal disc, for example of cut steel sheet having a raised edge for sealing on the lower edge of the skirt.

  The skirt is made of transparent plastic.

  The upper part of the skirt is closed by a metal cover having an opening zone (3) delimited by a tear-off line (6). This tear line (6) is a line stamped using a cookie cutter for example. It weakens the metal cover to allow tearing of the central area (3) provided with a gripping ring (4) fixed by a rivet (5). The general shape of the body is that of a box of

canned.

  A plastic cover (8) covers the assembly. It has a slightly tapered re-entrant border to maintain the cover on the body of the ashtray, while allowing the removal of this

  cover for the use of the ashtray.

  Figure 2 shows the ashtray being opened. The user exerts a pull on the ring, which causes the seal to be torn along the tear line. The body of the ashtray advantageously contains grains of fragrant minerals. These grains have a particle size of the order of a millimeter. It absorbs bad odors and contains an odoriferous substance. It is also possible to use non-flammable treated wood odorized or treated with an absorber

smell.

  After use, the ashtray can be closed with the cover (8) which clips onto the upper part of the skirt, which remains surrounded by the annular part (9) of the metal cover. This part

Claims (7)

  1 - Ashtray for smokers characterized in that it is formed by a body closed by a sealing cap capable of being removed for a first use, and a removable cover (8) for closing after use of said body.   2 - Ashtray for smokers according to claim 1 characterized in that the body is formed of a skirt (1) closed at its lower front face by a bottom (2) and at its upper front face by a cover having a zone of opening delimited by a tear-off line (6), said opening zone being provided with a gripping means (4).   3 - Ashtray for smokers according to claim 2 characterized in that the tear-off line (6) is a circular line of a radius slightly   less than the radius of the cylindrical skirt (1).   4 - Ashtray for smokers according to claim 1 characterized in that the bottom (2) and the cover are cut from a rigid sheet having a sealing border.   - Ashtray for smokers according to claim 1 characterized in that it contains an optionally scented or treated non-flammable material to absorb odors.   6 - Ashtray for smokers according to claim 5 characterized in that it contains at least a grainy mineral material. 6 2793658   7 - Ashtray for smokers according to at least one   of the preceding claims characterized in that the skirt (1) is cylindrical in shape.   8 - Ashtray for smokers according to at least one   of the preceding claims characterized in that the   removable cover (8) has a peripheral border   able to fit on the cylindrical skirt (1).
