Abstract

The press tool chaning table has a rectangular panel (3) with longitudinally spaced transverse rollers (30), mounted on a chassis (1) via a pivot (2) allowing rotation around a horizontal axis. The ends of the panel each have a tubular leg (4) with a ground engaging roller.

  The present invention relates to a table device for

  quick change of a press tool.

  Currently, in the industrial field, in order to make production tools profitable, the machines must operate continuously, which implies a frequent change of manufacturing. In the case of a press, the change in production results in the replacement of one tool by another. However, changing a press tool, which is very heavy, requires numerous relatively long operations, namely the removal of the tool in place, the removal of another tool and the removal of the initial tool. The duration of the removal and installation operations cannot be reduced, so that no time can be saved

  at the level of removal and removal operations.

  To eliminate idle time, some have proposed transfer tables, capable of operating automatically, such as that proposed in document EP O 468 855. However, this table is more particularly suited to a heavy industry, such as the automobile industry, and its design is complex,

therefore expensive.

  The object of the present invention is to provide a table device for changing press tools of simple design and

  allowing a significant saving of time.

  The table device object of the present invention is essentially characterized in that it comprises a rectangular plate provided longitudinally with transverse rollers, mounted on a frame by means of a pivoting means allowing its rotation in a horizontal plane, the ends of said plate each provided with a deployed support means

  to the ground on which it can roll.

  In practice, the table is positioned near the press, the replacement tool is placed on one end of a plate,

  while its other end is brought under the tool to be replaced.

  Once removed, the tool to be replaced is placed on the

  plate, which, after a rotation of half a turn, allows to bring

  the replacement tool in the installation situation.

  According to an additional characteristic of the device according to the invention, the chassis is mounted on multidirectional rolling means. The table frame can be permanently fixed near a press, in this case the operations of removing the replacement tool and removing the replaced tool are carried out by means of a transfer. On the other hand, if the chassis is provided with rolling means, it can also be used to

  perform these transfer operations.

  According to another additional characteristic of the table device according to the invention, the frame and the support means are

adjustable in height.

  The height adjustment allows to bring the tray to the level

  optimal for carrying out removal and installation operations.

  According to a particular embodiment of the table device according to the invention, the chassis comprises a platform, the center of which is crossed by a vertical shaft carried by at least one bearing, and the upper end of which is secured to the plate, while is interposed between the latter and said platform a

ball thrust.

  According to an additional characteristic of this embodiment of the device according to the invention, the plate is provided below at a certain distance from the shaft, with means of

  rolling bearing on the platform.

  According to another additional characteristic of this embodiment of the device according to the invention, the lower end of the shaft is mounted in a second bearing secured to the chassis

  according to the invention will emerge more clearly from the description

  which follows and which relates to the attached drawing, which represents

  several nonlimiting embodiments.

  In the accompanying drawing: - Figure 1 shows a perspective view of a first

  embodiment of the table device according to the invention.

  embodiment of the table device according to the invention.

  If we refer to Figure 1, we can see that a press tool change table device according to the invention comprises a frame 1 comprising a frame 10 consisting of sleepers 11 and resting on four feet 12 provided with soles 13 allowing a

attachment to the ground.

  The frame 1 is covered with a platform 14 made up of a strong sheet metal plate, while between the feet 12 extends a

second plate 15 of heavy plate.

  The platform 14 and the plate 15 are traversed centrally by a vertical shaft 2 mounted in two bearings 20 and 21 secured respectively to the platform 14 and to the plate 15, and the upper end of which carries a rectangular plate 3 equipped longitudinally of transverse rollers 30 in free rotation,

creating a transfer path.

  Between the lower face 31 of the plate 3 and the platform 14 is interposed, at the end of the shaft 2, a ball bearing 22, which preferably is a roller bearing, allowing the pivoting of the plate i around tree 2 while

supporting an axial force.

  The underside 31 of the plate 3 also includes, at a certain distance from the shaft 2, yokes 32 in which are

  mounted rollers 33 which roll on the platform 14.

  In FIG. 1, it can be seen that each of the ends of the plate 3 has a frame 34 below, comprising a sleeve with a vertical axis into which a tube 4 is slidably inserted, the lower end 40 of which is provided with a free roller 41 rotation around a shaft 42 radial to the pivot axis of the shaft 2, while its upper end 43 is equipped with a

  height adjustment device 44 consisting of a screw system

  nut pressing against the underside 31 of the plate 3.

  It can also be seen that the plate 3 has at each of its ends a removable stop consisting of a bar 36 extending transversely above the end rollers 30, the ends 37 of which are bent to be engaged in

  housings 38 which the plate 3 externally comprises.

  In practice, the table according to the invention is positioned near a press, the feet 12 being secured to the ground by means of the soles 13. The rollers 41 of tubes 4 rest on the ground and by means of the device 44, they are arched against the underside 31 of the plate 3, the table is thus ready for an operation of replacing a press tool

by another.

  During this replacement operation, the replacement tool is placed on one end of the plate 3, then the tool to be replaced is deposited, which is placed on the other end of the plate 3 which, by pivoting, has been positioned under the tool. Then by rotating the plate 3 by a half-turn, the replacement tool is positioned opposite the press and it is mounted while the replaced tool can be removed by transfer means. The tubes 4 are intended to collect the forces caused by the weight of the tools, and allow the pivoting of the plate 3 while avoiding its bending, while the bearings 20 and 21

are used to guide the shaft 2.

  The supported forces are also distributed over the stop 22 and the rollers 33, so that the pivoting of the plate 3 can be

easily achieves.

  The rollers 30 of the plate 3 allow the tools to be moved on the plate to bring them into the correct position on the press. The bars 36 constitute stops intended to retain the tools on

  the plate 3, in particular during the pivoting operation.

  If we now refer to FIG. 2, we can see that according to a second embodiment, the feet 12 of the chassis 1 are each provided with a wheel 5 carried by a yoke 50 mounted in

  free rotation along a vertical axis.

  In this embodiment, the table according to the invention allows the replacement of a press tool but also the transfer of

the tool at its storage location.

  It will be noted that, whatever the embodiment, the chassis 1 may include a device allowing the adjustment of its height, which may consist for example of a screw jack system

equipping each of the feet 12.

  In this regard one can still imagine integrating this height adjustment system at the level of the plate 3 itself. In particular, the plate 3 can come to rest using jacks or any other mechanical adjustment device on a frame.
