Abstract

Separating material comprises layers of foam or non-woven fabric, impermeable intermediate film and plastic mesh. Separating material comprises a lower layer (7) of a closed cell foam 1 - 3 mm thick and having a density = 20-60 kg/m<3>, or a non-woven plastic material 0.1-2 mm thick and weighing 20-200 g/m<2>, an intermediate impermeable layer (6) 20-200 micro m thick, and an upper extruded plastic mesh layer (2) 0.5-3 mm thick with cells of 4-100 mm<2> and weighing 100-500 g/m<2>. The material is unrolled onto the support, e.g., of reinforced concrete, and the tiles are laid on it, bedded on an adhesive mortar.

Description

The present invention relates to an uncoupling coating to be placed on an unstable support such as reinforced concrete liable to cracking, to be covered with a tiling, in order to separate the support and the tiling.

A decoupling coating is already known in the form of self-adhesive slabs of bitumen / limestone mortar reinforced with glass fibers.

This known uncoupling coating is not easy to transport and install since the slabs are relatively heavy due to the material used.

In addition, the installation of the slabs is relatively costly in terms of labor since they must be positioned with precision, otherwise the adhesive mortar used for laying the tiles can infiltrate between them. ci and create phonic bridges.

There is thus a need for a light coating that is easy to install.

The new uncoupling coating according to the invention is characterized in that it comprises
- a lower layer of foam or non-woven fabric,
- an upper plastic grid secured to this layer of foam or nonwoven.

The uncoupling coating according to the invention is light, and it can also be delivered in a roll for rapid installation, since it then suffices to unroll it on the support. In this case, the possibilities of infiltration of adhesive mortar are also limited, compared with the use of slabs.

Quite surprisingly, it has been found that such a coating makes it possible to dissociate the support and the tiling in a satisfactory manner in order to prevent cracking of the support from having repercussions on the tiling.

A further subject of the invention is a process for laying tiling, characterized in that it comprises the steps consisting in:
- unroll on the support the uncoupling coating as defined above,
- place adhesive mortar on this coating,
- lay the tiles on the adhesive mortar.

The invention will be better understood on reading the detailed description which follows, of an example of a non-limiting coating of the invention and on examining the appended drawing.

The coating 1 shown partially and schematically in the single figure comprises
- a grid 2 of extruded plastic material, consisting of two sets of strands 3, 4 joined together in their intersection to form square-shaped meshes in the example illustrated and which could alternatively be in the shape of a diamond in particular,
- an intermediate film 6 and
- a layer 7 of a foam or a nonwoven.

The grid 2 can be made of polypropylene or polyethylene by an extrusion process well known per se.

The grid 2 has a thickness preferably between 0.5 and 3 mm and a weight between 100 and 500 g / m2, the opening of each mesh 5 having a section preferably between 4 and 100 mml.

The intermediate film 6 can be impermeable and be made, for example, of polyethylene. Its thickness is between 20 and 200 µm and preferably between 50 and 200 µm.

In the case where the layer 7 consists of a nonwoven, it is preferably polypropylene or polyester, its thickness preferably being between 0.1 and 2 mm and its weight between 20 and 200 g / m ' .

The nonwoven may be needled or calendered spun or alternatively be constituted by a long-fiber thermobond.

In the case where the layer 7 consists of a foam, it may be a closed-cell foam or an open-cell foam.

In the case of a closed-cell foam, it may be a foam of a crosslinked polyolefin and its thickness is preferably between 1 and 3 mm and its density between 20 and 60 kg / m 3.

In the case of an open-cell foam, it may be an extruded polyethylene foam whose thickness is between 1 and 3 mm and its density between 20 and 60 kg / m2.

The grid 2, the intermediate film 6 and the layer 7 can be joined together by local melting of material.

The coating 1 can be packaged in a roll intended to be unrolled on the support on which the tiling is to be placed.

The layer 7 of foam or nonwoven is placed directly on the support without being glued to it, then the grid 2 is covered with an adhesive mortar used for fixing the tiling.

The coating 1 according to the invention accepts deformations of a few millimeters in its plane by creep and allows the support to deform to a certain extent without affecting the tiling.

The film 6 is intended to prevent the adhesive mortar from penetrating too deeply into the layer 7 of nonwoven or foam.

When the layer 7 of foam or non-woven fabric and the adhesive mortar are chosen so that there is no risk of there being diffusion of adhesive mortar through the entire thickness of the layer 7 of foam or not -woven, one can use a coating 1 not comprising an intermediate film 6, that is to say in which the grid 2 is directly attached to the layer 7 of foam or nonwoven.

Uncoupling coating intended to be placed on an unstable support such as reinforced concrete liable to cracking and to be covered by tiling, this coating intended to separate the support and the tiling, characterized in that it comprises - a lower layer (7) of foam or non-woven material, - an upper grid (2) subject to this lower layer (7). 2. Coating according to claim 1, characterized in that it further comprises an intermediate film (6) between the upper grid (2) and the lower layer (7). 3. Coating according to claim 2, characterized in that the intermediate film (6) is impermeable. 4. Coating according to claim 3, characterized in that said intermediate film (6) is made of polyethylene and has a thickness of between 20 and 200 μm. 5. Coating according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that said upper grid (2) is made by extrusion of polypropylene or polyethylene, has a thickness between 0.5 and 3 mm, meshes (5) of which the opening has a section of between 4 and 100 mm2 and the weight of which is between 100 and 500g / m2. 6. Covering according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that said lower layer (7) consists of a non-woven polypropylene or polyester, the thickness of which is between 0.1 and 2 mm and of which the weight is between 20 and 200g / m2. 7. Coating according to any one of claims 1 to 5, characterized in that said lower layer (7) consists of a closed cell foam, having a thickness between 1 and 3 mm and a density between 20 and 60kg / m3. 8. Coating according to any one of claims 1 to 5, characterized in that said lower layer (7) consists of an open-cell foam, the thickness of which is between 1 and 3 mm and the density between 20 and 60 kg / m3. 9. A method of laying tiling, characterized in that it comprises the steps of - unrolling on a support such as reinforced concrete susceptible to cracking, an uncoupling coating (1) as defined in any one of the preceding claims, - deposit adhesive mortar on said coating, - lay the tiles on the adhesive mortar.
