Abstract

The insulating material consists of a first layer (2) of a non woven felted material weighing preferably between 350 and 4000 g/sq m, and a second layer (3) of a spun calendered non-woven material weighing preferably between 60 and 150 g/sq m. The two layers are attached to either side of a layer of plastic mesh (4) weighing preferably between 80 and 120 g/sq m. After laying the insulating material a coating (C) is poured onto it and allowed to set before laying tiles (D).

Description

The present invention relates to a new sound insulator and a method for producing a tiling using such a sound insulator.

Acoustic insulators are known which consist of a thick layer of fibrous material, intended to be placed under a floating parquet for example.

The sound insulation according to the invention is characterized in that it comprises
a first layer of nonwoven having a mass per unit area of between 200 and 1000 g / m2, preferably between 350 and 400 g / m2,
a second layer of nonwoven having a mass per unit area of between 40 and 200 g / m2, preferably between 60 and 150 g / m2,
and by the fact that said first and second layers are fixed respectively on either side of a plastic reticular structure.

Thanks to the invention, the structures of the first and second layers can be adapted respectively to the nature of the support on which the insulation is placed and to that of the coating covering the insulation.

In a preferred embodiment, said grid has a mass per unit area of between 40 and 300 g / m 2, preferably between 60 and 120 g / m 2.

Still in a preferred embodiment, the first layer of nonwoven is constituted by a needled nonwoven and the second layer of nonwoven is constituted by a calendered spun nonwoven.

The sound insulation according to the invention has good characteristics in terms of sound insulation, is relatively light and also allows the pouring of a screed directly in contact with it.

In addition, the sound insulation advantageously allows the support on which it is placed to breathe, which is useful when the support consists of a poured slab shortly before the installation of the sound insulation.

The invention also relates to a method characterized in that it comprises the steps consisting in
depositing a sound insulator as mentioned above on the support to be covered, the first layer of nonwoven being in contact with this support,
- pour a screed on the sound insulation,
- let the screed dry,
- lay a tile on the screed.

The invention will be better understood on reading the detailed description which follows, and on examining the appended drawing in which the single figure partially and schematically represents a sound insulator according to the invention, the second layer of nonwoven being partially detached from the grid in a corner to reveal the latter.

There is shown in the appended figure tiles D of tiling fixed on a screed C covering a sound insulator according to the invention.

This sound insulation has a composite structure consisting of
- a first layer 2 of a needled nonwoven with synthetic fibers whose mass per unit area is between 350 and 400 g / ml
a second layer 3 of nonwoven with synthetic spun calendered fibers having a mass per unit area of between 60 and 150 g / m2, these first and second layers being fixed on either side of a grid 4 of polyethylene having a mass per unit area of between 80 and 120 g / m2.

To make the sound insulation, one of the layers is first assembled to the grid after having melted the latter on one side, then the other side of the grid is melted to assemble the other layer.

The first layer 2 is intended to rest on the support to be covered while the screed C is poured in contact with the second layer 3.

The yoke C may have a thickness of 5 mm for example.

The grid 4 is produced by an extrusion process which is known per se, and in the example under consideration has diamond-shaped meshes.

For example, the thickness of the first layer is of the order of 3 mm, the thickness of the grid of the order of 1 mm and the thickness of the second layer of the order of 1 mm also.

The nonwoven constituting the second layer 3 makes it possible to avoid infiltration of the material constituting the screed C through the sound insulation.

Of course, the invention is not limited to the embodiment which has just been described.

One can in particular use a grid having a different reticular structure.
