Definitions
- the present invention relates to a system for the insulation of crawling roofs, attic ceilings, for example fitted attics, by means of hangers and the fixing of a support profile (also called fur) of a lining partition to distance from a wall to be lined with thermal and/or acoustic insulation.
- a wall such as a wall, a ceiling such as a sloping ceiling and/or a roof of a building using a thermal insulator, such as an insulator based on mineral fibres, whether in new construction or during renovation.
- a thermal insulator such as an insulator based on mineral fibres
- doubling for example a plasterboard, in particular of type BA13 or other
- doubling for example a plasterboard, in particular of type BA13 or other
- these rails must be fixed to the wall to be lined, for example beams such as structural rafters or ceiling joists, using hangers which make it possible to maintain the insulation as well as a vapor barrier membrane (windbreak and/or pareaire) between the lining partition and the wall to be lined.
- This membrane is most often independent and interposed between the layer of fibrous material and the lining partition, typically attached to the partition, optionally interposed between two layers of thermal insulation.
- multiple regularly spaced lines are used.
- Each hanger typically comprises a main body in the form of a rod extending transversely to the wall to be lined and to the doubling partition, one end of which is provided with means for its attachment to a structural element of the wall to be lined and whose the other end is provided with means for supporting a lining fur.
- Another solution is to place the vapor barrier membrane against the inner side surface of the thermal insulation, i.e. on the surface of the insulation on the side of the room to be insulated where the installer is located. .
- the membrane is installed by drilling it directly on the rod of the hanger and by wedging the membrane between two pinching means in order to create the seal.
- the piercing is particularly detrimental with regard to the membranes, because their sealing function, permanent or selective, is then altered.
- the piercing of the membrane can also constitute an initiator of a tear likely to spread if too much tension is exerted.
- An object of the present invention is therefore to solve the problems mentioned above, using a solution that is simple to manufacture, inexpensive, easy to implement and optimized in terms of efficiency, in particular with regard to compliance with the tightness of the membrane while providing a sufficiently large and accessible space behind the lining partition to pass accessories such as cables and/or pipes.
- inner side means on the side (or in the direction) of the part to be insulated
- outer side means in the direction of the outside of the part to be insulated.
- the surfaces directly or indirectly (because hidden by an obstacle) facing the installer during installation of the system are interior side surfaces, the installer being in the room to be installed during installation. isolate.
- the interior side surfaces are the surfaces visible directly or indirectly by the installer who face the front end 32 of the rod.
- the subject of the invention is a system for the insulation and vapor barrier sealing of a wall as defined by claim 1. Additional aspects of the invention are defined in independent claims. The dependent claims define preferred and/or alternative embodiments.
- the system can be used to insulate a wall, such as a wall, a ceiling such as a sloping ceiling and/or a roof of a building, in particular of a house or a residential dwelling.
- the hanger can be fixed on a wall to be lined, such as a rafter, at the level of the rear end of the stem of the hanger.
- the end of the rod of the hanger may comprise a fixing plate, in particular a fixing plate comprising one or two fins erected radially with respect to the rod.
- the fin is formed in one piece with the stem.
- Each fin may include at least one orifice, in particular a series of aligned orifices substantially parallel to the rod and may also include one or two orifices farther from the rod with respect to the first series of orifices.
- the plate may comprise two end position markers between which are provided at least one other intermediate marker, advantageously two, and preferably three intermediate markers, the distance between two consecutive markers preferably always being the same, for example approximately 1 centimeter.
- the rod of the hanger may also include, at the rear end and more particularly at the level of the plate, marks defining the positioning limits of the hanger on the support, for example the wall to be doubled, in particular on a beam such as a rafter.

- the reinforcing core can then be covered with molded plastic material.
- the rod may include a radial stop ring making it possible to define the ideal and/or defined positioning distance of the fur support head as well as being able to provide a first pinching means.
- the radial stop ring is in contact with the inner side surface of the thermal insulation coating.
- the front end of the rod ends in a point.
- the point makes it possible to pierce the mattress as well as the covering by gradually separating the mattress and the covering as it is pushed in and makes it possible to reduce or even avoid the risk of tearing the covering.
- the tip may further comprise a base, the base of the tip possibly comprising a reinforcing core comprising indentations, in particular evenly distributed over its periphery.
- a removable cap having for example an ogive shape, which comprises a hollow shaft for mounting around the front end of the rod.
- the hollow shaft has an external diameter identical to or slightly less than the diameter of the radial stop ring.
- the diameter between the end and the base of the cap is less than or equal to the diameter of the stop ring, in order to avoid tearing of the coating.
- the cap preferably comprises a pointed end, in particular more pointed than the pointed end of the rod, in order to facilitate the piercing of the thermal insulation, in particular the piercing of the coating with little or no tearing.
- the cap barrel may include protrusions extending radially therein to cooperate with the outer surface of the forward end of the stem once the cap is fitted therearound for the purpose of help keep it in position.
- the cap may further comprise on its outer surface one or more gripping notches to facilitate removal of the cap after use, arranged for example on either side of the barrel.
- the furring support head may be hollow and/or provide a second pinching means for the sealing sleeve. During installation, the head can be mounted and held at the front end of the rod, in particular around the rod, by radial clipping.
- the support head can be adapted to cooperate with the radial stop ring, in particular in the active position of use.
- the support head and the radial stop ring form, in the active position of use, a radial locking jaw configured to pinch the sealing sleeve in order to create a thermal seal and/or vapor barrier.
- the support head is mounted in a removable manner and held in place around the rod with the aid of a key passing through it and cooperating with the rod.
- the support head may include through radial openings for passage through the key, which is U-shaped comprising two elastically deformable branches to move apart and then tighten around the rod after having passed through the openings.
- the support head comprises at least a first annular seal formed on a gripping surface facing the radial stop ring and resting on the latter in the active position of use.
- the support head may also include on the pinch surface a second annular seal coaxial with the first joint and arranged substantially at the periphery of the pinching surface.
- the latter may be constituted by an elastomer bead protruding from the gripping surface.
- the support head comprises a dome-shaped part comprising a peripheral groove in which can slide a lining wall fur such as a rail, in particular a metal rail.
- the support head is adapted to be compatible with the fittings usually made available to the installer, in particular fittings of the F45 and F47 type.
- the head may comprise an axial space between the base of the dome part and the pinching surface, the space being able to measure between 5 and 20 mm, more particularly between 10 and 15 mm.
- the sealing sleeve is adapted to provide a vapor barrier seal between the thermal insulation and the interior of the room, in particular between the outer side surface of the thermal insulation and the interior of the room to be insulated.
- the sealing sleeve may comprise an inner side layer, in particular a layer of plastic material, for example polyester, PET or polyolefin, and an adhesive layer on the outer side.
- the plastic layer can be metallized, for example, with aluminum.
- the adhesive layer is preferably protected by a release sheet for ease of use.
- the removable non-stick film is pre-cut along its length in order to be able to easily remove a part, in particular half, and/or the entirety of the non-stick film, for example by slightly bending the sealing sleeve to slightly peel off the release liner.
- the sealing sleeve may have a thickness of at least 5 ⁇ m, at least 100 ⁇ m or at least 250 ⁇ m and/or of less than 600 ⁇ m, of less than 400 ⁇ m or of less than 300 ⁇ m.
- the sealing sleeve will be fixed on the ring (more precisely on its inner side surface) and the vapor barrier coating (more precisely on its inner side surface) of thermal insulation.
- the sealing sleeve may have a surface area of less than 250 cm 2 , preferably less than 150 cm 2 , in particular less than 100 cm 2 .
- the sleeve has a substantially square shape having a length of less than 15cm, less than 12cm, or less than 10cm. This avoids overuse of sealing sleeve material and thus reduces losses and costs. Furthermore, it has been found that these dimensions are sufficient to obtain a good vapor barrier seal.
- the sealing sleeve is preferably fixed around the rod of the hanger, in particular the part of the adhesive layer closest to the opening is fixed to the rod and/or to the stop ring, the remainder of the adhesive layer being fixed on the inner side surface of the thermal insulation coating. This provides a seal sufficient which can be further reinforced by the pinching of the part of the sleeve fixed to the radial stop ring between the latter and the pinching surface of the support head, in the active position of use.

- the sticky tape may comprise at least three layers stacked on top of each other, a top layer non-adhesive, an adhesive layer and a removable release liner.
- the upper layer may comprise a continuous film of plastic material, in particular a continuous film of metallized plastic material.
- the removable release film is preferably pre-cut along its length in order to be able to remove only part of the release film, in particular half. This allows the sticky strip to be placed on one of the two elements (for example, a thermal insulator and/or a part support) before installing or carrying out tasks on the second element (for example, a thermal insulator and/or or a part support).
- the installer when sealing between two adjacent thermal insulators, the installer will remove all of the release film and simultaneously apply the adhesive layer to a portion of each thermal insulator, covering the interface between the two thermal insulators.
- the adhesive tape is applied over the entire length of the interface between the two adjacent thermal insulators.
- a complementary adhesive for example a sealant such as elastic sealant
- the installer can therefore stick a portion of the adhesive tape on the thermal insulation by removing only half of the release film, then apply the complementary adhesive to the wall, remove the other half of the release film and then stick the remainder of the sticky tape on the complementary adhesive placed on the wall. This allows the installer to be able to seal with one hand.
- a portion of a second sticky strip can adhere to a portion of a first sticky strip.
- the coating, the adhesive tape and the sealing sleeve comprise a surface, in particular the outer surface which is positioned during installation on the inside of the part to be insulated, having a similar or substantially identical color in order to have an overall surface of the system over the entire surface of a room that is substantially homogeneous to the naked eye, in particular as the installer moves away from the isolated surface.
- the insulation system does not include other vapor barrier membranes except those described above and in this application.
- the vapor barrier sealing sleeve, the vapor barrier coating and/or the adhesive tape can also be an air barrier.

- an independent head 60 also called cap or key
- the head 60 has an end part 61 in the shape of a dome provided with a peripheral groove 62 in which a fur 8 can slide, such as a "C" shaped metal rail of a known type onto which a wall of lining such as plasterboard.
- the head 60 is provided with a first annular seal 64 formed on a gripping surface 65 facing the radial stop ring 50 and resting on the latter in the active position of use.
- the head 60 is also provided, on the gripping surface 65, with a second annular seal 66 coaxial with the first gasket 64 and disposed substantially at the periphery of said gripping surface.
- Each seal 64 and 66 consists of an overmolded elastomer bead protruding from the pinching surface 65 and guaranteeing good airtightness.
- the head 60 also has an axial space 68 between the base 63 of the dome 61 and the pinching surface 65, said space 68 measuring between approximately 5 mm and 20 mm, preferably between 10 and 15 mm.
- the hanger 10 is fixed cantilevered on the wall to be insulated, in particular on a rafter 5 of the frame.
- the installer places the plate 20 perpendicular to the side of the rafter 5 and positions it using the pins 28 in order to adjust the length that will protrude from the rafter.
- the markers 28 thus make it possible to delimit the minimum and maximum positioning distances of the hanger 10 with respect to the edge of the chevron 5, as illustrated by the figures 11 and 12 .
- the latter can take all possible positions between these two limits in order to adapt to the conditions of installation of the insulation and of the lining wall without harming its fixing. Beyond the limits, in particular if the hanger 10 protrudes too much from the rafter 5, the attachment may be insufficient, or even come off or break.
- the installer fixes the hanger 10 in the side of the rafter 5 by placing screws (not shown) through the holes 24 and 26.
- screws are placed at the ends of each fin 22, that is to say in the holes 26 of the lugs 25. Four screws are sufficient but it is possible to add in the other holes 24 available to reinforce the fixing.
- a cord can be temporarily attached (during the line fixing operation) at the level of the front end 12 of a first line, in particular the line closest to a support of the part to be insulated such as a wall.
- the cord is then unrolled horizontally to the rafter closest to the support of the part opposite to that previously described.
- a second hanger is then attached to this rafter so that the cord is attached to substantially the same place as for the first hanger so that the two hangers are aligned.
- the intermediate lines are then positioned using the cord stretched horizontally between the first two lines. Once all the lines are in place, the cord is removed.
- first layer of thermal insulation (not shown) between the rafters of the roof spaces of a roof such as a pitched roof.
- This first layer of thermal insulation can be produced by a mineral wool blanket (of the glass wool and/or rock wool type) having a thickness of 200 mm and adapted to be positioned between the rafters.
- a second layer of thermal insulation, superimposed on this first layer is described below:
- the covering 201 has been fixed on the entire said surface of the mattress 200 by an adhesive based on polyethylene (PE). This operation, illustrated by reference 2 of the figure 5 and by the figure 7 , is facilitated by the indented tip 32 of the front end 12 of each hanger 10, in particular when the latter is provided with the cap 80 which pierces the coating 201 without tearing it.
- the thermal insulation 2 is pushed into the hanger until the stop ring is positioned above the covering.
- the insulator 2 is then attached to the lines piercing it and held in place by means of the stop rings of each line. Cap 80 is then removed. If the stop rings do not allow the maintenance of the thermal insulation, the installer can then temporarily position a head 60, the time, for example, to fetch a sealing sleeve.
- the installer then positions a vapor barrier sealing sleeve 3 pre-provided with a central opening with a diameter slightly smaller than the diameter of the rod, with a difference of 0.5 to 3 mm, for example an opening having a diameter of 11 mm, by plugging it onto the pointed front end 32 of each hanger 10, as represented by the reference 3 of the figure 5 , over there figure 8 and by the figure 21 .
- the front ends of each hanger are not fitted with either the cap 80 or the support head 60. During this operation, it is important to ensure that the sealing sleeve 3 does not protrude through the radial stop ring 50 against which he must lean.
- the opening closes around the rod 30 by matching its shapes.
- the adhesive layer of the sleeve makes it possible to fix the sleeve both on a portion of the rod 30, on the stop ring 50 and on the coating of the thermal insulation 201. All this contributes to good thermal insulation as well as a good vapor barrier.
- the installer clips the head 60 of each hanger 10 on its rod 30, which, moreover, will block the sealing sleeve.
- the pinching surface 65 comes into contact with the sealing sleeve 3 and forms, with the radial stop ring 50, a locking jaw.
- the sealing sleeve 3 is sandwiched between the non-deformable radial stop ring 50 and the gripping surface 65 of the head 60 on a continuous contact surface.
- the two seals 64 and 66 of the pinching surface 65 of the head 60 prevent heat loss (cool or hot air).
- the smallest peripheral seal 64 is substantially of the same external diameter as that of the radial stop ring 50 so as to properly trap the sealing sleeve 3 between them.
- the installer can, before the placement of the furs, provide the seal between the thermal insulators, with an adhesive tape fixed on the respective coatings and covering the interface between the thermal insulators as well as the interfaces between the insulators insulation and the walls or other supports of the wall by a sticky strip, one part of which is fixed by the adhesive layer of the sticky strip on the coating of the thermal insulation and the other half is fixed to the wall by an elastic sealant, the strip adhesive covering the interface between the thermal insulation and the wall.
- the overall appearance of the system is substantially consistent to the eye.
- the installer can position known type "C” shaped furrings 8 (also called support rails) by inserting the branches of the "C” into the peripheral groove 62 of each head, as shown in reference 5 of the figure 5 and on the figure 10 .
- the vapor barrier coating of the thermal insulation are arranged at a distance from the rails, and therefore from the facing plates.
- the void zone provided between the vapor barrier coating and the rails/plasterboards also significantly improves the thermal and/or acoustic insulation of the lining and therefore of the room to be insulated.
- hangers 10 that are easy to use, robust and adjustable. Due to the design of these hangers 10, the thermal insulation 2 is held perfectly in place.
- the presence of a vapor barrier coating attached to a surface of a mineral wool blanket facilitates laying while reducing the installation time of the insulation system.
- the vapor barrier coating and the sealing sleeve 3 is also positioned in an optimized manner to guarantee good insulation.
- the axial space 68 of the head 60 makes it possible to place various cables or pipes and to modify them or add/remove them if necessary without the risk of perforating the vapor barrier coating and the sealing sleeve.
- this hanger 10 is adapted to the usual support rails, for example rails of the F45 and/or F47 type.
- the head 60 can be removably fixed to the rod 30 of the hanger 10.
- the head 60 is provided with through radial openings 67 and 69 intended to receive a key 70 illustrated in detail on the figure 16 ). More precisely, the head 60 comprises in its structure, at the level of the axial space 68, a first inlet opening 67 and, on the opposite side, two smaller outlet openings 69 aligned with the inlet opening 67 The inlet opening 67 is substantially wider than the total width of the two outlet openings 69.
- the key 70 comprises a hollow inner portion 75 of circular section which encloses the rod 30, which for this purpose has substantially the same diameter.
- the head 60 is locked axially on the rod 30 so that it is then possible to mount the support rails of the insulation plates.
- FIG. 18 An alternative embodiment of the hanger in accordance with the invention is the subject of the figure 18 .
- plate 20 has two end position markers 28 between which three other intermediate markers 29 are provided, the distance between two consecutive markers always being the same.
- the two extreme markers are arranged 4 cm apart so that each space between two consecutive markers is 1 cm, which allows finer adjustment during installation.
- the hanger 10 also comprises a removable cap 80 in the shape of an ogive intended to be positioned around the indented tip 32 of the rod 30 to facilitate plugging in of the insulation.
- the cap 80 comprises a pointed hollow barrel 81 having, at its base, a maximum external diameter identical to or slightly less than that of the radial stop ring 50, and a very pointed end 82.
- the outer diameter of the cap is such that it gradually increases from the tip to its base without the diameter being greater than the diameter of the ring.
- the tip of the cap is more pointed than that of the front end of the rod in order to facilitate piercing of the insulation blanket and of the coating while avoiding tearing of the thermal insulation coating.
- the cap 80 comprises protrusions 83 extending radially inside the barrel 81 in order to cooperate with the outer surface of the front end 12 of the rod 30 once said cap 80 is mounted around it bearing against the radial stop ring 50 (see figure 19 ).
- the cap 80 is also provided, on its outer surface, with gripping notches 85 to facilitate its removal, said notches being for example arranged on either side of the barrel 81. The cap is removed after the installation of the thermal insulation and can be reused on another hanger not provided with thermal insulation.

Description
The present invention relates to a system for the insulation of crawling roofs, attic ceilings, for example fitted attics, by means of hangers and the fixing of a support profile (also called fur) of a lining partition to distance from a wall to be lined with thermal and/or acoustic insulation.
For this, it is common to use a partition (against partition or false ceiling) called doubling (for example a plasterboard, in particular of type BA13 or other) which is fixed, in particular by screwing, on a metal fur including rails to place it at a distance from the wall.
However, these rails must be fixed to the wall to be lined, for example beams such as structural rafters or ceiling joists, using hangers which make it possible to maintain the insulation as well as a vapor barrier membrane (windbreak and/or pareaire) between the lining partition and the wall to be lined. This membrane is most often independent and interposed between the layer of fibrous material and the lining partition, typically attached to the partition, optionally interposed between two layers of thermal insulation. Thus, to cover an entire surface to be insulated, multiple regularly spaced lines are used.
Each hanger typically comprises a main body in the form of a rod extending transversely to the wall to be lined and to the doubling partition, one end of which is provided with means for its attachment to a structural element of the wall to be lined and whose the other end is provided with means for supporting a lining fur.
During installation, it is common practice to install the insulation by piercing it right through with the rod of each hanger, which causes multiple piercing of the thermal insulation. Then, it is common to mount a fur using supports, usually supports attached to the end of the rods of the lines. A vapor barrier membrane is then placed on the inside of the furring, that is to say between the furring and the lining partition. Fixing the lining partition on the furring involves piercing the membrane with fixing elements (staples or self-drilling screws, for example). This piercing of the membrane harms, although to a lesser extent, the tightness of the membrane.
The positioning of the membrane in front of the fur raises another technical problem. Indeed, this configuration leaves little or no space (air gap) between the membrane and the lining partition. However, it is often necessary to insert, behind the lining partition, various cables (electricity, ventilation, telecommunications, IT) or pipes (water network, air conditioning). It is then difficult, if not impossible, to place these accessories between the membrane and the lining partition.
These cables or pipes can be placed behind the membrane, but it is then no longer possible to access them for maintenance or changes to the cabling installation without remove the membrane or make an opening in it. In addition, the cabling operations may, for logistical reasons or changes in needs or technologies, take place after the lining of the wall, which also requires the removal or opening of the membrane by workers who do not are generally not specialized in wall lining and insulation. All these operations affect the integrity and tightness of the membrane.
Another solution is to place the vapor barrier membrane against the inner side surface of the thermal insulation, i.e. on the surface of the insulation on the side of the room to be insulated where the installer is located. . The membrane is installed by drilling it directly on the rod of the hanger and by wedging the membrane between two pinching means in order to create the seal. The piercing is particularly detrimental with regard to the membranes, because their sealing function, permanent or selective, is then altered. The piercing of the membrane can also constitute an initiator of a tear likely to spread if too much tension is exerted.
An object of the present invention is therefore to solve the problems mentioned above, using a solution that is simple to manufacture, inexpensive, easy to implement and optimized in terms of efficiency, in particular with regard to compliance with the tightness of the membrane while providing a sufficiently large and accessible space behind the lining partition to pass accessories such as cables and/or pipes.
According to one of its aspects, the subject of the invention is a system for the insulation and vapor barrier sealing of a wall as defined by
The hanger can be fixed on a wall to be lined, such as a rafter, at the level of the rear end of the stem of the hanger. The end of the rod of the hanger may comprise a fixing plate, in particular a fixing plate comprising one or two fins erected radially with respect to the rod. Preferably, the fin is formed in one piece with the stem. Each fin may include at least one orifice, in particular a series of aligned orifices substantially parallel to the rod and may also include one or two orifices farther from the rod with respect to the first series of orifices.
The plate may comprise two end position markers between which are provided at least one other intermediate marker, advantageously two, and preferably three intermediate markers, the distance between two consecutive markers preferably always being the same, for example approximately 1 centimeter. The rod of the hanger may also include, at the rear end and more particularly at the level of the plate, marks defining the positioning limits of the hanger on the support, for example the wall to be doubled, in particular on a beam such as a rafter.
The rod of the hanger may comprise a reinforcing core, in particular a metal reinforcing core, more particularly a threaded rod. The reinforcing core can then be covered with molded plastic material.
The rod may include a radial stop ring making it possible to define the ideal and/or defined positioning distance of the fur support head as well as being able to provide a first pinching means. When installing the thermal insulation, it is preferable that the radial stop ring is in contact with the inner side surface of the thermal insulation coating.
In a preferred embodiment, the front end of the rod ends in a point. The point makes it possible to pierce the mattress as well as the covering by gradually separating the mattress and the covering as it is pushed in and makes it possible to reduce or even avoid the risk of tearing the covering. The tip may further comprise a base, the base of the tip possibly comprising a reinforcing core comprising indentations, in particular evenly distributed over its periphery.
In order to facilitate the installation of the thermal insulation and/or the coating through the rod of the hanger by piercing, it is preferable to use a removable cap, having for example an ogive shape, which comprises a hollow shaft for mounting around the front end of the rod. Preferably the hollow shaft has an external diameter identical to or slightly less than the diameter of the radial stop ring. In a preferred embodiment, the diameter between the end and the base of the cap is less than or equal to the diameter of the stop ring, in order to avoid tearing of the coating. The cap preferably comprises a pointed end, in particular more pointed than the pointed end of the rod, in order to facilitate the piercing of the thermal insulation, in particular the piercing of the coating with little or no tearing. The cap barrel may include protrusions extending radially therein to cooperate with the outer surface of the forward end of the stem once the cap is fitted therearound for the purpose of help keep it in position. The cap may further comprise on its outer surface one or more gripping notches to facilitate removal of the cap after use, arranged for example on either side of the barrel.
The furring support head may be hollow and/or provide a second pinching means for the sealing sleeve. During installation, the head can be mounted and held at the front end of the rod, in particular around the rod, by radial clipping.
The support head can be adapted to cooperate with the radial stop ring, in particular in the active position of use. For example, the support head and the radial stop ring form, in the active position of use, a radial locking jaw configured to pinch the sealing sleeve in order to create a thermal seal and/or vapor barrier.
In an alternative embodiment, the support head is mounted in a removable manner and held in place around the rod with the aid of a key passing through it and cooperating with the rod. The support head may include through radial openings for passage through the key, which is U-shaped comprising two elastically deformable branches to move apart and then tighten around the rod after having passed through the openings.
Preferably, the support head comprises at least a first annular seal formed on a gripping surface facing the radial stop ring and resting on the latter in the active position of use. The support head may also include on the pinch surface a second annular seal coaxial with the first joint and arranged substantially at the periphery of the pinching surface. When the support head includes a seal, the latter may be constituted by an elastomer bead protruding from the gripping surface.
In a preferred embodiment, the support head comprises a dome-shaped part comprising a peripheral groove in which can slide a lining wall fur such as a rail, in particular a metal rail. Preferably, the support head is adapted to be compatible with the fittings usually made available to the installer, in particular fittings of the F45 and F47 type. The head may comprise an axial space between the base of the dome part and the pinching surface, the space being able to measure between 5 and 20 mm, more particularly between 10 and 15 mm.
The sealing sleeve is adapted to provide a vapor barrier seal between the thermal insulation and the interior of the room, in particular between the outer side surface of the thermal insulation and the interior of the room to be insulated. The sealing sleeve may comprise an inner side layer, in particular a layer of plastic material, for example polyester, PET or polyolefin, and an adhesive layer on the outer side. The plastic layer can be metallized, for example, with aluminum. The adhesive layer is preferably protected by a release sheet for ease of use. In a preferred embodiment, the removable non-stick film is pre-cut along its length in order to be able to easily remove a part, in particular half, and/or the entirety of the non-stick film, for example by slightly bending the sealing sleeve to slightly peel off the release liner. The sealing sleeve may have a thickness of at least 5 μm, at least 100 μm or at least 250 μm and/or of less than 600 μm, of less than 400 μm or of less than 300 μm.
- slightly smaller than outside diameter of stem; Where
- between the diameter of the rod and the outer diameter of the radial stop ring.
- la tige, notamment une partie de la tige adjacente à la bague d'arrêt ;
- the rod, in particular a part of the rod adjacent to the stop ring;
- the ring, specifically on the inner side surface of the ring; and
- the vapor barrier coating of the thermal insulation, more precisely on the inner side surface of the vapor barrier coating.
In the case where the diameter of the opening is between the outer diameter of the stop ring and the diameter of the rod, the sealing sleeve will be fixed on the ring (more precisely on its inner side surface) and the vapor barrier coating (more precisely on its inner side surface) of thermal insulation.
The sealing sleeve may have a surface area of less than 250 cm 2 , preferably less than 150 cm 2 , in particular less than 100 cm 2 . Typically, the sleeve has a substantially square shape having a length of less than 15cm, less than 12cm, or less than 10cm. This avoids overuse of sealing sleeve material and thus reduces losses and costs. Furthermore, it has been found that these dimensions are sufficient to obtain a good vapor barrier seal.
The sealing sleeve is preferably fixed around the rod of the hanger, in particular the part of the adhesive layer closest to the opening is fixed to the rod and/or to the stop ring, the remainder of the adhesive layer being fixed on the inner side surface of the thermal insulation coating. This provides a seal sufficient which can be further reinforced by the pinching of the part of the sleeve fixed to the radial stop ring between the latter and the pinching surface of the support head, in the active position of use.
L'isolant thermique comprend :
- a mineral wool blanket comprising a major surface; and
- a vapor barrier covering being attached to the main surface of the mattress.
The mineral wool blanket may comprise or consist essentially of mineral wool, the mineral wool possibly being glass wool and/or rock wool. The mineral wool blanket comprising glass wool may have a density of at least 10 kg/m 3 or at least 15 kg/m 3 and/or a density of less than 30 kg/m 3 or less than 25 kg/ m3 . When the mattress comprises rock wool, the mattress may have a density of at least 20 kg/m 3 or at least 25 kg/m 3 and/or less than 80 kg/m 3 or less than 70 kg/ m3 . In order to provide effective thermal insulation, the thermal insulator may have a value of no more than 0.040 W/mK, no more than 0.035 W/mK, no more than 0.033 W/mK or no more than 0.032 W/ mK
The thermal insulation may have a thickness of more than 170 mm or more than 190 mm and/or a thickness of less than 250 mm or less than 230 mm.
The coating may comprise or consist essentially of a plastics material, for example one or more continuous films of plastics material. Preferably, the plastic material can be selected from polyesters and/or polyolefins. In a preferred embodiment, the coating comprises a continuous film of polyethylene terephthalate (PET). Other continuous plastic films can be used, for example: polyethylene film, in particular high density polyethylene, polyethylene naphthalate (PEN), polytrimethylene terephthalate (PTT), polybutylene terephthalate (PBT), polypropylene and/or polyvinyl chloride, polyacrylate. The vapor barrier coating may be metallized and/or comprise a metallized layer reinforced with a film of plastic material, in particular at least one of the plastic materials listed above. Preferably, the coating comprises aluminum. These same materials can be used for the sleeve and/or the sticky tape. The covering may also comprise a reinforcement or latticework, for example made of wire, in particular glass yarn, in order to reinforce the covering.
The coating may have a thickness in the range 5-100 µm, preferably 5-30 µm. The coating can be attached to a main surface of the mineral wool blanket, preferably by an adhesive, in particular a hot-melt adhesive. The adhesive can include a polyethylene. Fixing by adhesion makes it possible to avoid thermal bridges between the covering and the mattress, as well as to improve the vapor barrier properties of the thermal insulation. When installing thermal insulation, it is preferable that the coating be located on the inside of the room to be insulated, that is, on the side visible to the installer.
In a preferred embodiment, an adhesive strip is used to form a vapor barrier seal at the connection interface between two adjacent elements, such as between two adjacent thermal insulators and/or between a thermal insulator and a support of the room, for example a wall.
The sticky strip can be at least 6 cm, at least 8 cm, at least 10 cm, at least 12 cm or at least 15 cm wide, which allows the interface to be covered quickly without the installer wasting time during application. The sticky tape may comprise at least three layers stacked on top of each other, a top layer non-adhesive, an adhesive layer and a removable release liner. The upper layer may comprise a continuous film of plastic material, in particular a continuous film of metallized plastic material. The removable release film is preferably pre-cut along its length in order to be able to remove only part of the release film, in particular half. This allows the sticky strip to be placed on one of the two elements (for example, a thermal insulator and/or a part support) before installing or carrying out tasks on the second element (for example, a thermal insulator and/or or a part support).
In a first example, when sealing between two adjacent thermal insulators, the installer will remove all of the release film and simultaneously apply the adhesive layer to a portion of each thermal insulator, covering the interface between the two thermal insulators. The adhesive tape is applied over the entire length of the interface between the two adjacent thermal insulators.
In a second example, when sealing between a thermal insulator and the adjacent wall (also called a gable/creep joint), it may be preferable to apply a complementary adhesive, for example a sealant such as elastic sealant, to the wall. where the sticky tape will adhere to ensure that the seal is optimal. The installer can therefore stick a portion of the adhesive tape on the thermal insulation by removing only half of the release film, then apply the complementary adhesive to the wall, remove the other half of the release film and then stick the remainder of the sticky tape on the complementary adhesive placed on the wall. This allows the installer to be able to seal with one hand.
For convenience during installation, a portion of a second sticky strip can adhere to a portion of a first sticky strip.
In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the coating, the adhesive tape and the sealing sleeve comprise a surface, in particular the outer surface which is positioned during installation on the inside of the part to be insulated, having a similar or substantially identical color in order to have an overall surface of the system over the entire surface of a room that is substantially homogeneous to the naked eye, in particular as the installer moves away from the isolated surface.
Preferably, the insulation system does not include other vapor barrier membranes except those described above and in this application. The vapor barrier sealing sleeve, the vapor barrier coating and/or the adhesive tape can also be an air barrier.

The
The fixing
The
The
The
Each
In the example presented, it will be a question of carrying out an interior doubling of insulation of the roof spaces of a dwelling, in particular its roof.
Once the
This solution avoids the plates with breakable areas of weakness of the prior art which lacked precision in terms of their adjustment.
The installer repeats these positioning and screwing operations for each
The installer can, before the placement of the furs, provide the seal between the thermal insulators, with an adhesive tape fixed on the respective coatings and covering the interface between the thermal insulators as well as the interfaces between the insulators insulation and the walls or other supports of the wall by a sticky strip, one part of which is fixed by the adhesive layer of the sticky strip on the coating of the thermal insulation and the other half is fixed to the wall by an elastic sealant, the strip adhesive covering the interface between the thermal insulation and the wall.
With the liner, sticky strip, and sealing sleeve having a similar metallic gray color, the overall appearance of the system is substantially consistent to the eye.
Before screwing the BA13 (or other) type plasterboards onto the
It will be noted that the vapor barrier coating of the thermal insulation, as well as the sealing sleeve, are arranged at a distance from the rails, and therefore from the facing plates. The void zone provided between the vapor barrier coating and the rails/plasterboards also significantly improves the thermal and/or acoustic insulation of the lining and therefore of the room to be insulated.
Thus, thanks to the present invention, it is possible to thermally and/or acoustically insulate a wall such as a wall, a framework or a ceiling, using

When the installer wishes to complete the installation of a
More specifically, the key 70 comprises a hollow
Thus the
