Abstract

The marker, made from a series of linked modules, consists of an inflatable tube (1) between two smaller parallel tubes (2, 3), each filled with water to act as ballast. The tubes in the modules have inner partitions with non return valves, and the assembly is enclosed in a cover (4) with an antislip surface. The modules are joined together at by sliding clasp fasteners with covering flaps, and the pressure in them is maintained by compressors at intervals round the track.
