Abstract

A cylindrical plastic container with a lid (2) and handle (5) contains a vessel (16) for carrying food and keeping it hot. The vessel is located within a water chamber which has two parts (14,15) made from copper and soldered together. The lower part (14) contains water and the upper part acts as a steam cylinder. An electrical element (20) supplied from electricity mains heats the water and steam rises to the steam cylinder and enters the food vessel (16). Condensed water re -enters the lower chamber (14) for recirculation via a valve (19). The water chamber is heavily insulated by asbestos plated polystyrene (10,11) and glass wool (12). Cutlery is carried in the handle (5).

Ces matières enveloppent un ballon d'eau électrique dont la partie supérieure présente un cylindre à vapeur sous forme de cuvette qui contient le récipient à nourriture fermé hermétiquement par un couvercle au moyen d'un joint, situé dans le couvercle. La partie inférieure présente un réservoir d'eau alimenté par un orifice fermé avec un bouchon sur la gauche. A droite se présente une résistance accompagnée d'un thermostat, ces deux permettant de chauffer l'eau du ballon.
