Abstract

The telephone distribution box has a removable contact assembly (3) and comprises a sealed box formed by a base (1) and a removable cover (2). The contact assembly includes two rows of terminals (3a,3b) within an insulating support block (3c). Within the box the contact assembly is held by two shaped cushions (4,5) made of a deformable, insulating material. One of the cushions (5) sits in the base (1) and has an upper profile shaped to match that of the contact assembly, and the second cushion (4) has a profile matching the second surface of the contact assembly, and is received within the support frame (2a) formed on the inside surface of the removable cover plate (2).

La présente invention a trait aux boîtes de distribution utilisées dans l'industrie téléphonique pour le branchement des abonnés et destinées à l'équipement des réseaux de câbles à l'intérieur des locaux. Claims

1. Telephone distribution box of the removable strip type, of the type comprising a body (1) closed by a removable cover (2) and arranged to receive in a removable manner a strip (3) forming a support for two staged series of connection pads (3a and 3b), characterized in that it comprises two profiled insulation cushions (4 and 5) made of a suitable deformable material, one of which (4) is shaped to fit into a housing (2b) provided in the cover (2) while the other (5) is arranged to be inserted between the removable strip (3) and the bottom of the body (1).

2. Box according to claim 1, characterized in that the housing (2b) is defined by an interior partition (2a) integral with the bottom of the cover (2).

3. Box according to claim 2, characterized in that the partition (2a) has a stepped edge and a closed profile.

4. Box according to any one of claims 1 to 3, characterized in that the cushions (4 and 5) have a stepped profile which defines a series of steps.
