Abstract

The blocks are 20 cm x 20 cm x 50 cm or 20 cm x 25 cm x 50 cm or can be made in other sizes. The blocks have openings which allow the mortar to penetrate. The blocks are assembled dry, four or fives rows at a time, and mortar is sprayed into the openings. The lower surface of the block has bevelled edges 2 cm wide forming a groove which enables mortar to be injected forming a horizontal joint. The vertical face has grooves which allow the blocks to be aligned and the grooves leave a vertical space into which mortar can be inserted forming a vertical joint.
